I always sort of romanticize the south… I think it because everything seems so fancy and full of etiquette and rules. Rules that I know nothing about and would be sure to break the minute I set foot in the south. I would be kicked out before I even got to try any good at all!

Theme this month? The tastes, scents, and colors of Fall! I saw that there were treats inside right away and was VERY excited about it!
ThursNightJewleryCo – The Marlow Bracelet: I LOVE this bracelet! It is made by a southern artist who had a lot of cool jewelry, however I honestly think this is the every best one! I love the grey purple color and the weight of the piece. It really is a bracelet I can see myself wearing a lot!
It could also double as a survival tool should I find myself in a jam!
Modern Forestry – Appalachian Maple Bourbon Soy Candle: There was a little dent in my candle that as a subscriber I am sure they would have replaced. Because I received this box for review, I decided it wasn’t called for. Honestly the cap opens and closes just find, and the candle inside is still perfect.
I love the smell of this… maybe it is the maple, maybe it is the bourbon, but this candle smells like something you could gnaw on! When this isn’t burning it smells more like maple but as it burns it smells like baked cinnamon apples along with sweet notes.
I will use this when I want to trick guests into thinking I actually bake wonderful treats!
Southern Twisted Soaps – Pumpkin Souffle Body Lotion: This is another good smelling treat, this time for the body! In this you will smell like you were rolling around in a mountain of treats… which sounds like fun! There is a nice zing of ginger to give this lotion a depth that makes the sweetness refreshing. Can pumpkin pie be called refreshing? In my world yes!
Don’t go to there website if you are on a diet, they have so many awesome dessert inspired products you won’t be able to help yourself!
Viveltre – Midnight Fantasy Gourmet Marshmallows: Nutella is one of my favorite things ever! EVER! LOVE! I mean what other sweet can you put on a piece of plain bread and actually enjoy? What SAME thing can you put into just about any other food and have it STILL taste excellent? That’s right… pretty difficult.
The name “Midnight Fantasy” does not really say marshmallows to me. Though, I am pretty sure I have thought longingly about marshmallows and hot cup of chocolate late at night…
Actually come to think about it? My midnight fantasies really do almost exclusively contain food!
Corks Kettle Corn – Caramel Corn: SO GOOD!!! I love caramel corn, I will admit it. I just love it. I think it is because it tastes so much like butter. Anyway, this stuff is ridiculously yummy. Like so good I did not share it and ended up eating it all very shortly after this picture. I even meant to do a close up of it, but the only close up I gave it was so my mouth. While I was hoovering it down like a starving bear!
Do you think fancy birds eat only artisan popcorn? Like the birds who live outside of castles? No? Hey, it was just a thought!
Verdict: Our Southern Hearts did a really good job for their first box!!! All of the items where from actual artisans in the south and contained things that I would not have been able to try otherwise. That is what I would want from a subscription who focuses on a certain area. I really love the bracelet and all the items fit the theme and also were in line with what I would expect from a subscription that is trying to bring small southern businesses into my living room. I hope that they continue to put quality boxes out that contains items from smaller out of the way places!
