Taco Bout It Tuesday: October Festivities

Hey, gluten-free girls and guys! How was your weekend?

Did you spend it celebrating Diwali?

Perhaps you had a staring contest with the inside of your eyelids?

Did you find a really cool costume and spend Monday eating all of the candy so it wouldn’t go to waste after your 3 trick-or-treaters stopped by?

Or did you dress your pets up?? Farmgirl did, and sent me pictures over the weekend of her cute kitties! Ivy is wearing a white fur coat and a unicorn costume, while Starla is the calico with the princess costumes.

And here’s Bella in her [too small] Seahawks jersey sitting with McBoyfriend [and hoping he’ll take pity on her paralyzed state and take off her jersey].

But seriously though, how’s your tummy today? Or did you stay away from the sugar?? If so, tell me how to do that…

I stayed away from sugar. We don’t get trick or treaters on my quiet street of mostly retired people so I didn’t even buy candy. Also lately candy seems too sweet to me. My favorite is a dark chocolate bar with orange peel. I early voted so that’s done. I’ll have to email you some pics of my kitten Isabelle, she wouldn’t tolerate a real costume so my husband photoshopped her with some things. Its hilarious.

    Kittehs!!!

Oh it was a glutonous Halloween. My friend posted in FB a communal box of Halloween loot. Established in 2016, she claims no squabbles and momma gets a cut (I guess dad doesn’t have a sweet tooth). I will do this when I pick up Pipsqueak from her bus stop today because Squeak and Squeakette have forgotten about the candy. Now that I am a parent I cannot believe my parents ate my candy but I have been living a LIE all my life. Lucky for my squeakers I am not the chocoholic I once was. So its better they know from the start that family shares means Halloween candy as well 😉

No Trick or Treating for me. Though I was gluttonous at a new poke restaurant and a local brewery. Your kitties must be very easy going for you to put costumes on them. Or you’ve got some long, thick gloves!
Anyone have any good Thanksgiving recipes to share? Do you brine or deep fry your turkey? Do you double the marshmallows in the sweet potato recipe? Share your secrets!

Bella is too cute in her jersey.
Starla and Ivy are both can be laid back kitties. The costume I purchased for Starla isn’t even features here because she doesn’t like it. She gently let me know she doesn’t want it on. But she is willing to wear the unicorn costume. And Ivy thought the tutu was neat. She probably only wore the unicorn costume so she can get more kitty treats.
