Grove Collaborative Subscription Box Review + Coupon – November 2016

Box: Grove Collaborative (this link gives you $10 and me $10 when you sign up)!

Contents: Curated and/or self-selected eco-friendly products such as Cleaning, Laundry, Hand and Body, Face and Hair, Kids, Scent Free, Oral Care, etc. to ship when you want it (monthly and on demand)! Some of the Brands carried are Seventh Generation, Acure Organics, Method, Mrs. Meyers, Molly’s Suds, and house brand Grove Collaborative.

Cost: Price of your items (usually discounted) plus $2.99 shipping (waived if you are a VIP member see more details below).

Kick Back and Get Comfortable:

I LOVE the service that Grove Collaborative offers. Every item that I received was either a promotional free item or discounted. I will keep a lookout for more promos and let you know! Most of the products that I bought were not found on discount via my beloved Amazon. Because I wanted to avoid passing Target and paying $200, we would buy our cleaning products on Home Depot (which were not discounted at all).

We all know how I want to save money in the comfort of my own home.

I found signing up was easy. Grove Collaborative asks a few questions and then curates a box for you. You can then feel free to delete and add items as you wish.

There is a $2.99 shipping charge BUT if you sign up for VIP status, the shipping fee is waived! So while you are shopping look into the VIP trial because you receive free shipping for two months and then you pay $19.99 for a year. In addition to VIP status, you will receive freebies amounting to five (5!) full size items within a year so $19.99 pays for itself in (1) free shipping, (2) five full size items and (3) the already discounted savings on items purchased!!! And if you forget to add the VIP trial to your order (like I did) the VIP trial option appears after you place your first order. And then if you forget that, I am sure the awesome customer service will take of you!

Once you make an order you can set up to change when you want your next delivery and what products you want for that delivery. Grove Collaborative will send advance email reminders and a text reminder (if you give your cell) when a monthly box is scheduled so you can make any modifications to that order. Also a week after you sign up, you will be able to “purchase now” if you need something now.

Note on Customer Service:

Not only is customer service awesome, make sure you look under the customer service representative’s signature because there might be a link with a coupon to one of their favorite products. You know me and codes and coupons.

I also was recently sent an email blast from Grove Collaborative with some points that they wanted their customers to be aware of and if you are not happy with a product they will compensate you! How awesome is that!?!

An other awesome plus is that if there is a promo for new customers, Grove Collaborative usually also rewards continuing customers with a promo as well!

Codes and/or Coupons for new and continuing customers = A Happy and Loyal Pnut

Price Matching Deets:

I noticed when I was stalk tracking my Grove Co box one of their advertisements  on the tracking page was for the VIP program features. One of the features was “price matching”!

Online Price Matching be still my heart!!!

As always, the weeist of my Pnut people, Squeakette, wants me to get started on the review

so let us indulge our little assistant!

imageSqueakette is all ready and dolled up for her review!

Actually she just woke up, has a little shiner on her forehead, and a wee bit of chocolate face going on. But she says she is ready!

Straight to business, Squeakette doesn’t mess around!

imageSchmidt’s Deodorant Stick

This specific item, Sensitive Skin in Geranium, was highly recommended by Mailbox Junkie. This was in my Amazon Cart “save for later” section for quite awhile. But Grove Co came to the rescue with another email blast with significant savings on all Schmidt’s deodorant.

I currently have over 550 items via Amazon’s “Saved for later”.

Schmidt’s Deodorant Stick

This particular one cost $8 and change and their prices can be bought on Grove Co’s website without the email!!! It is a nice heady geranium scent and so far that’s what my pits currently smell like hours later, but now its faintly of geranium.

If its good enough for Mailbox Junkie’s Crossfit in Paradise pits, it has to be good for my thrown-out back pits.

Seventh Generation Stone and Granite Cleanser

Seventh Generation Stone and Granite Cleanser

My Method Granite cleaner is running low and as much as I want to save money and buy 409 on the cheap see here, I buckled into my crunchy tendencies and bought this instead. I actually like this more than Method but I like Method’s packaging (for display purposes lol). So I will just refill the most of this into the Method bottle!

Did I mention this was Mandarin Orange scented? I want some fresh oranges now…

Mrs. Meyers Lavender Scent Review

The following Mrs. Meyers items were purchased with the same scent. I like the Mrs. Meyers has several matching scents for those that love a certain scent and/or like to coordinate everything nicely. The lavender scent is nice, light, non-medicinal, and quite a soothing fleeting scent.

Bonus: My Pnut people are partial to the color purple.

What color are Squeakette’s eyes? Grey, blue, hazel? All of the above? Who knows?

Mrs. Meyers Hand Soap in Lavender

Mrs. Meyers Hand Soap in Lavender

Lavender is one of the few fragrances my husband will tolerate. Also I am tiring of the bulk Lemon Verbena scent that I bought via the Amazon and I am out of the Honeysuckle I bought from Grove Co a bit back.

I like smelly hand soap. And not buying soap in bulk my days of Bath and Body Works are over…

Pushing this lavender scent further, maybe my husband will do more dishes if the dish soap was scented in Lavender? I am totally loving Mrs. Meyers Limited Edition scent in Peony I bought from Grove Co awhile back so until that scent comes back, Lavender it is!

I swear my dishwasher is just sanitizer :/

Oh my, anything but the pout! Not the pout!!!

Mrs. Meyer’s Multi-Surface Cleaner in Lavender

Mrs. Meyer’s Multi-Surface Cleaner in Lavender

Squeakette thinks I have too many multi-surface cleaners and she may be right. But my excuse is that I just love to liberally clean stuff by soaking it in natural multi-purpose cleaners before mopping it up with a cloth or paper towel. This is pretty good it outperformed a multi-purpose cleaner I got in a bluum subscription box so this is going in the bathroom for the first line of defense against those toothpaste mint sink drops.

Maybe my husband will clean more surfaces too with this Lavender scent!

imageVERDICT:

LOVE!!! I almost got this order two weeks early but with my back out, I was not sure whether I would be ready to review. I was excited to do this review and anticipated the order coming in! I think the benefits of Grove Collaborative (the free shipping as a VIP, the price-matching, and the discounts) along with figuring out what Squeakette will wear for the occasion got me all happy dancing (in my head)! Also, I discovered a better natural granite/stone cleaner!

Nothing like squeaky clean granite countertops to make one smile. And add oranges to the food shopping list…

Oh i did delay that Caldrea Home/Linen Spray in that Sea Salt scent for another month I think that might fly with Squeakette considering it would be my fourth (but different scented) bottle…

Pnut, would you like to come to my place and liberally clean? I pay generously.

Sorry about your back. I threw my back out a few weeks ago and I haven’t felt the same since.

Ahhhh Artemis if you only knew the truth for in front of the deep freezer is the only true clean area of the house even though sink areas in the bathroom and kitchen are clean until tomorrow morning 😉

I would come over and we can put on sheet masks or whatever it would take for me to kick back on your couch! I see a pain doctor and chiropracter. If you have met your deductible everything should be covered. My cousin who is an acupuncturist helped too but I hardly see her since school started. Some heat and/or cold therapy with some yoga/pilates to re-strenghten your core. I really feel for you because this extremelly sucks balls. Hopefully you are near the end of your weeks of pain (6-8 weeks). I am barely halfway there timewise but hope I am patched up by the end of December because my deductible is pretty high….

Thank you for commenting XOXO 🙂
