Sit Down and Get Comfortable:

So my year of Glossy with that awesome deal a year ago has ended and I need new heavy duty sturdy box for gifts. So I it up traded up for Allure with its red box paying $10 for a half a year (Black Friday special). I have occasionally ordered Allure boxes when the spoiler contents “allured” me so I was happy to pick up a longer subscription with them. I was thinking that my first box would be December but in true subscription box deal form, I got a November box.

Here is the box!

Here is the booklet that I will somewhat read and reference too!

imageThe model is rocking that blue eyeshadow (that fortunately was not in the subscription box)!

There were two variations and this is the variation that I received as we take our first peek into the box!

imageThis is the preferred one, since I have a million nail polishes and the other box had two of that!

And they were not glitter nail polishes (it’s a long story but maybe having girls made glitter an obsession)!

Let’s whip out these sample babies!!!

Klorane Shampoo with Olive Extract

Klorane Shampoo with Olive Extract

Awesome sauce! I love Klorane (and its sulfates) and this is not a wimpy size! This smells nice not as awesome as the mango but I see squeakiness in ma hair in my future!

Red Flower Icelandic Moonflower Moisturizing Body Lotion

Red Flower Icelandic Moonflower Moisturizing Body Lotion

I had bought and used up a full size of this so it made me happy to see a travel version to bring me back to the time when the Barney’s Spring GWP pricepoint was a little more reasonable. Disregarding what the booklet says, this really smells like what I envision a Icelandic Moonflower to smell like.

Do they have even have moonflowers in Iceland!?!

Bulgari Fragrance – Omnia Crystalline

Bulgari Fragrance – Omnia Crystalline

Again my favorite kind of subscription box perfume is in mini form. I pulled the silver part upwards very gingerly to take a sniff and pat a dab on my inner arm. I am glad to report that it was hard to extract this perfume into said inner arm.

Because it really sucks when a fragrance pours itself in one’s inner arm.

This fragrance also complements the Red Flower Icelandic Moonflower Body Lotion.

Bonvivant Alone Sheet Mask

Bonvivant Alone Sheet Mask

Instead of tossing this in my army of sheet masks in the refrigerator, I decided to pop it open and plant it on ma face whilst blogging.

Bonvivant Alone Sheet Mask

The actual sheet mask looked like it was dyed in tea leaves and it was wrapped in this clear mesh thinge you see above.

It’s like the weirdness of the dyed tea leaves was the marketing explanation for the word “alone” in the product description.

I enjoyed it. I used the leftover essence on ma hands, knees, shoulders, and toes. But I had to wash off the essence off my face it started to burn.

Also the alone part as I blogged in alone-ness.

Avene Hydrance Riche Cream

Avene Hydrance Riche Cream

Also sampled before. Nothing special but I applied it after I took off the Bonvivant Alone Sheet Mask. And again after I washed off the essence of the mask on my face. It smelled faintly of a old lady but her scent quickly dissipated. Very moisturizing and perfect for cold weather.

imageEyeko Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner

I am pretty sure that I received a full size from Birchbox and then somewhere else.

Perhaps from Birchbox again bahahahaha.

Regardless, here is a picture with obligatory kitty swatch.

Allure Beauty Box – November 2016

Verdict:
I am happy with this box. It inspired me to do a facial. I also liked how the body lotion complemented the fragrance and how the face mask complemented the face lotion. And the size for Klorane shampoo is awesome!!!

What do you think of this month’s Allure Beauty Box? Do variations drive you cray cray too?

You posted this review a week before I got my box! Though I subscribed late thinking I would also get December. However, this box seems pretty good; I got the same variation. The perfume was stupid hard to open and then a bit went on my clothes, but you’re right in that it doesn’t dump out. I look forward to trying the mask, and I was in need of new eyeliner.

Did you get December near the same time of my post? I think I signed up the first day the code was offerred.

I have not received my Zoe box yet they sent the box to everyone that used a code first. I am probably going to just code my future Zoe boxes and not stay on as an annual since there are no more benefits to stay on annual :/

Yeah I waited a bit to use a code, but they also ship from NJ and I live on the west coast so it would get to you way sooner anyway.
