Taco Bout It Tuesday: Valentines and Bangers

Today is Valentine’s Day / Singles Awareness Day, and yesterday was Galentine’s Day [according to Parks and Rec character Leslie Knope].

I just started bingewatching this last month, and I’m on season 6. I LOVE Ron Swanson. He’s so ridiculous.

What did you do to celebrate this week? I don’t really have any friends in WA anymore [they all keep moving to CA], so I didn’t celebrate Galentine’s Day. Tonight McBoyfriend made me dinner, and then I decided to see what you all were up to.

—>OR [if you don’t want to answer that–or want to answer two questions]

What’s your current binge?

Or current book, if you’re not a TV fan. My show is Parks and Rec, my recently finished book is The Clockwork Three.

My favorite episode is Snakebite, so here’s a clip of Ron Swanson wasted off his boo-tay.

PS: In case you need to go rave, here’s my current favorite banger–Switch by Don Diablo. It’s great watching Ron Swanson dance to it.

My husband and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day with each other (I was never into it), but we always do something for the kiddos. They got chocolate and presents (and chocolate on the presents!) – fun was had by all!

I tend to binge watch shows only on Amazon Prime. They make it so easy by immediately going to the next episode! Plus, sometimes things go off Prime, so best to watch it while it’s available under the membership. I think I watched all of Arrested Development in one weekend! Outside of Prime, I don’t binge-watch anything. Sometimes I deliberately stop watching for a while because I don’t want the series to end!

I love Arrested Development! I watched it multiple times in college and the first couple of years I lived in Seattle. The new season I was not a big fan of though. Without all of the character dynamics it wasn’t the same.

Our eight year old was in charge of Valentine’s Day. He made sure everyone had a small box of candy and a card. We played Yatzee and WildKraft. Then we watched a Lego DVD Movie. He did a great job planning everything out. I’ve been watching Parks& Recs with my teenager.

Did your teen go to college or did he pick his college yet?

We don’t celebrate VDay. And, I’m so boring, I don’t watch TV. I haven’t seen of of the shows everyone talks about. I have never even seen an episode of Friends or Sex and the City. But, I do watch NASCAR, NHRA, baseball and football. Does that count? Books now…. That’s a different story. I just finished The Girl Before by JP Delaney. That’s a pen name for the writer Tony Strong. It was incredibly interesting! Highly recommend. I hope all y’all had a great day!! ❤️❤️

That book sounds good! I just added it to my list. I started a YA book that came in a Bookcase.Club box; it’s called Reality Boy.

I have been reading a lot of clean romance books.

That sounds nice. I like a little romance but I always get embarrassed when dirty stuff happens because I’m usually listening to audiobooks!!

I love reading clean romaces because they don’t have the dirty stuff but I still get the romance.
