Trash Talk on Empties!

Trash Talk on Empties is all about what subscription box items that we have used up and/or trashed and how we felt about it (accomplished, disappointed, excited to get to the next 10 million eyeliner in your stash, or all of the above)?

So tell us how you really feel!?!

Here are my trash submissions:

Actually, I have none. Remember I had that bag of empties? Well I angry cleaned and tossed them out.

I have been angry cleaning lately. Well not exactly angry but it sounds better than boring cleaning.

However, Heat is here to save the day! She has been saving up her empties and sharing with us some of her trash.  Mostly the larger stuff.

As Heat is my spirit sister, I can sense she wants to avoid angry cleaning her out empty stash.

Here are Heat’s trash submissions!

Heat to save the Saturday Trash Posting 🙂

Top left: First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads, not from a sub box, recommends by Caroline Hirons on her blog. She’s big on “acids” (lactic, glycolic, etc.) for chemical exfoliation so I added this (and now Pixi Glow Tonic) to try it out. These are used after cleansing and before my spray toner – I liked them, and the idea of them, but I rarely notice much difference in my skin from anything.
Pnut’s Thoughts: Hiron is big on acids. lol. So juvenile of me I know.
Top right: it’s hard to read but this is the Akar lush balance toning mist from Pearlesque (sometime in 2016) and it smells SO good!! I’m huffing the empty bottle right now… it felt good like most mists. (No idea if they do anything though.) This bottle is really nice, maybe I should save it?
Pnut’s Thoughts: Keep the bottle Heat! For huffing and/or refilling purposes!
Bottom from left to right:
Gorge I’ll make you looking amazing spray (long name for a leave in conditioner) from FabFitFun maybe? I must have liked it if I finished the 4oz bottle… sorry, it was a while ago. I think it was when I was still straightening my hair rather than leaving my natural wave/almost-curl which I’m finally embracing (or trying to).
Pnut’s Thoughts: I embrace my curly hair. That’s because I only straighten my hair after box coloring some of the time.
Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel (Alcohol Free Toner with Aloe Vera), not from a sub box. I really liked how this made my skin feel clean and hydrated and have gone through a couple bottles but I’m trying to finish up all my toning mists now. Also, some people say witch hazel isn’t great for the skin? I don’t know anymore since it seems nothing is… just read somewhere that many of the essential oils in natural/organic skincare might not be good – ugh!!
Pnut’s Thoughts: There was this gorgeous girl in my high school that had great skin and swore by Witch Hazel. I could not get over that stench and I wonder whether those rose petals would have changed my world back in the day.
DHC Deep Cleansing Oil – my first bottle was from BeautyFix but this one was bought all on its own. This was my first cleansing oil and I love it. I now really enjoy doing a first cleanse/makeup removal with an oil or balm. When I finish my current stash (one day, a long time from now), I will likely repurchase this… or I want to try MOA balm.
Pnut’s Thoughts: OMG I still am working on my BeautyFix DHC Deep Cleansing Oil! You go Heat! I distracted myself and started using other cleansers.
Rose Mira Roses in Bloom Hydrating Toner from Benevolent Beauty Skincare box. I received an entire skincare routine for dry skin from this brand. This toner was very nice although the spray was… somewhat forceful. (My husband laughed at me the first time he saw me spray it on my face!) I actually ended up corresponding with the owner/creator about that issue plus a couple of other bottle/dispenser suggestions on the other products. She seems like a lovely woman who truly cares about creating amazing products, however it will take time & money to address & perfect these issues which I understand (but can’t even imagine having to deal with!)
Pnut’s Thoughts: No words. Like my arms, my face is not toned on a daily basis.
That’s all for now!

Next time you angry clean, just take a picture of the bag of empties even if it’s in the trash can. 😉

I don’t really know what witch hazel smells like but the toner was very mild rose scented… And I wish my arms (and legs and abs) were half as toned as my face! My own fault though because I hate working out.

I have lots more empties – mostly smaller sample sizes – so I’ll share more soon!

      I should have!

Spirit sister as I too hate to work out. Always bought FFF for the Fab and Fun parts 😉

Yea! Sharing is caring thanks Heat 😀

I love witch hazel! I use it instead of rubbing alcohol. I like the smell too, actually Other than my face and ear piercings, I use it on my scalp when it gets itchy [you’re not supposed to wash naturally curly black hair more than once a week, but my scalp often demands a more frequent wash].

Witch hazel for ear piercings? I think I can tolerate witch hazel for my ear holes they are moody for the most part. I don’t think they have travel sizes of witch hazel :/
