The Ecocentric Mom Subscription Box is a monthly subscription box for moms and moms-to-be sending five (5) full sized products that are good for you and/or baby, eco-friendly, and useful.
There are four choices of box subscriptions that Ecocentric has:
For the preggers and the majority of the items curates to the mom-to-be. This subscription transitions to the Mom & Baby box after the due date has past.
This box is suggested for moms with newborns through 18 months. This box caters towards the new momma and baby on the outside.
This box is for mom and toddlers up to age 4.
The “me” box.
This month theme is “Holiday Feast”
where Ecocentric Mom treats us in preparation for the holidays!
I actually caved in and went for the pregnancy box because of the Aden + Anais swaddles. You can see part of my bamboo collection below you can see that I am obsessed.
I am willing to field any questions about the Aden + Anais in the comments below because I literally have tried and/or have many of their products. It is an awesome brand from the burpy bibs to the dream blankets to what they are known for… the softer with every wash muslin blankets.
Spoiler for next month review!!!
I switched to the Mom and Baby box for December and I am getting Nursing Shawls!!!! See part of my collection below you can see that I am obsessed.
There will be a full in-depth review (versatility, weight, coverage, etc.) of the nursing shawls received in Ecocentric Mom compared to what I currently have but also feel free to make any inquiries here. I am totally excited to have more in my growing collection (and yes if you look correctly, I have not one but two sets of twin nursing shawls in the same pattern/color (one set is identical and the other is fraternal wait til next month for more deets)!
I digress, its awesome that I can have two of the same item instead of being forced to get two different items if you wished. If you go to the subscription part (my links should directly take you there) and click on which box you want to get the next screen shows you the choices.
Here are the two items I choose for my box this month!
First I want to mention that these blankets are not boutique.
But here is the kicker, I recommend the non-boutique silky softs over the boutique ones!
The first difference is the size and the label. The size difference really does not matter.
That is what she said.
Let us take a closer look and you can see the difference from the weave, the non-boutique has a smaller weave than the boutique.
But they are equally soft!!! I really could not tell the difference other than weave and size!
To sum, for Silky Soft I recommend the non-boutique version to save some money but for the Muslin (which is not featured nor reviewed here) I recommend the boutique version because there is a definite difference in the softness.
Onward on to the box. Here is the insert.
Holiday Feast sounds good and a hint of noms in my humble opinion!
Ecocentric Mom Holiday Feast October 2017
Sweet. I already donated. But I plan on being more thankful this Thanksgiving of the opportunities, blessings, health and family that I have. Not that I have not before but it was always about Turkey. I have been more reflective lately.
I am clearly still hormonal after giving birth. *sniff*
I digress, onward to the noms!
Oh my goodness, Ecocentric Mom has introduced me to this brand and I have fallen hard. I just recently bought and are very happy with UpSpring’s nursing pills (Milkflow) since they combine both fenugreek and blessed thistle in one pill. Now I am sooooo tempted by these gummy vitamins they taste like mango with a hint of peach but right now my needs are to have a vitamin with Calcium and Magnesium for nursing and this sadly does not have it.
Regardless, these are the best.prenatal.gummies.ever!!!
Healthier and Organic version of Nutella yes please! This taste the same but better and a bit thinner which is a good thing because it won’t wreak your toast upon spreading.
Mmmmmm… this would make a nice breakfast treat if I did not already open these packets up and shared with my Pnut people.
This is not a nom but a place to put your veggie noms in! On my list of things to have thanks to Ecocentric Mom for fulfilling the want that I never got around to purchasing!
Isn’t that what subscription boxes are for?
Anyway, I just put some mushrooms in one bag and I am looking forward to stuffing these bags in my garden tote so I can easily load up on my veggies from the garden and shake out the sand. I also appreciate the pouch holding the pouch is also usable for the same purpose.
That is one thing I can’t possibly post here. My pouch obsession.
Lastly, you know I am not one for posting coupons unless…

Can’t you tell I really like this product!?!
I am going to use this right now as moisturizer for me and my Pnut people (sans my eczema “Criscoed” Pipsqeak). I am sure this would make a great belly oil. I received the Tangerine Orange scent which is a happy citrus and makes me smile.
This cuter than cute technique only works if you are pregnant. Get your significant other and littles (if you have any) to massage your belly with belly oil. Maybe baby inside will kick in approval!

VERDICT:

LOVE. I could not fight off the urge to add to my Aden + Anais collection this month and could not fight off the urge to add to my nursing shawls collection in December. One of my old colleagues said it is always a good choice to add chocolate in boxes/gifts/life and this is so true. I actually love this chocolate spread better than the Trader Joe’s version. And I am totally in love with the Prenatal gummies (unless you are nursing you need extra stuff see above) and highly recommend them these are the best I ever tried. The belly oil smells delicious and we are using it as a body oil. The veggie bags are getting to work and will be in full force next gardening season.

If you are looking for a perfect gift for a mom or mom-to-be, I highly recommend Ecocentric Mom!

I got some inquiries on the A+A bamboo (silky soft) versus the muslin.
Generally, before I realized I had quite a collection, I would camelcamelcamel price notification these babies and pounced when I got an email notification. I try to keep a bunch in the car because they take virtually no space. These are used for emergencies, blankets, nursing, crib/seat/diaperstation cover, bucket seat cover, “fluids” (keeping it real), blanket/pillow for changing station or changing at the floor, etc. I have a wet bag and some plastic bags also in the car to put used blankets in. Depending on the season, I will use one (usually a solid or a cute print) as a scarf or coverup so I would have a blanket on my person so to speak for easy access.
    Bamboo
    I love these for winter.
Softer than Muslin comes at a little more maintenance price. You need to make sure the Bamboo air drys or is on a light setting by itself in the dryer because the blankets may pill and are delicate. I cannot stress how soft and dreamy these are.
    Muslin
    I love these for summer.
These are awesome for the diaper bag or in a catch when the kids find a water playspot as it absorbs really well.
I can use this as a makeshift summer dress for a Pnut person and as a wrap or short dress for me after some kind of water activity.
These are the ones that will get the most compliments because the muslin blankets are more recognizable than the Bamboo. They are also easy maintenance and wash/dry really well.

Oh and if you really love this set from this review it is on babysteals dot com for less than what Amazon is offering for the set. If you check out the babysteals and other sister sites daily you get 2 pennies each site which adds up and usually offsets shipping when you want to make a purchase. Then you get points to sucker you in to check for good stuff.
