The Ecocentric Mom Subscription Box is a monthly subscription box for moms and moms-to-be sending five (5) full sized products that are good for you and/or baby, eco-friendly, and useful.
There are four choices of box subscriptions that Ecocentric has:
For the preggers and the majority of the items curates to the mom-to-be. This subscription transitions to the Mom & Baby box after the due date has past.
This box is suggested for moms with newborns through 18 months. This box caters towards the new momma and baby on the outside.
This box is for mom and toddlers up to age 4.
The “me” box.
Spoiler for January: I went for the Pregnancy box for a facial toner and … wait for it … supplements.
What Pnut!?! Aren’t you against supplements in subscription boxes!?!
I know. I was. But I kept getting them. Then I tried some of them. So… I kinda like supplements in my subscription boxes.
I fell into the marketing theory that if you keep exposing a potential customer to something, eventually they might actually become a customer!
December’s theme is “Cozy Time”
where Ecocentric Mom gives us some “me time” in preparation for the holidays!
Ok. Because I am obsessed with nursing covers. I ordered two duplicates. So let us start with a nursing cover review.
Here are the nursing covers I picked for my box!
I always have one on my person and the other somewhere near be it in the car or on the bucket seat or in my huge diaper bag. Actually they are all over the place. They mate like bunnies.
This is most but not all of my nursing cover stash!
I digress, let’s go back to the cover-de-jour!
First, Ecocentric mom had this in two colors. The other was a lovely turquoise. Even though I love turquoise, I aim to get nursing covers in a dark color.
Because stains.
Anyways. I am LOVING this infinity scarf! Nursing infinity scarves in my opinion are superior because (1) you can nurse in them, (2) you know its going to have more substantial fabric, (3) its going to be longer, and (4) you can use it as a mini blanket.
And if you really want to be fancy, you can YouTube multiple ways of turning an infinity scarf into a top, dress, etc. its all there if you want a multitask wonder.
Being a little more specific into this Itsy Ritzy, I am noticing that my new pair of infinity scarves is much better and thicker than my old pair from InfinityMOM. First, it is warmer than InfinityMOM. See the sizing comparison here.
Getting a little more closeup, you can see the solid stitching on the Itsy Ritzy is better than the InfinityMOM. And also less clingly to catching dirt. One of the reasons why I have some duplicates like the InfinityMOM is because I have to wash almost after every use and most of my scarf obsessions are infinity scarves.
So to sum, my InfinityMOM duo is taking a backseat to these new Itsy Ritzys are my favorite infinity scarves!
Thanks Ecocentric Mom for fulfilling my duplicate nursing cover needs!
So let me continue with some other nursing covers if you are looking for what is out there in the market:
If its hot and you need a cover up with or without bump/baby, then might I suggest some Pirose by Reno Rose Multiway Scarves!
I was first introduced to this brand whilst watching organizational videos. This brand was advertised back in the day at QVC if you look at some YouTube videos as a multi-purpose shawl. You can also see the awesome conversion videos from QVC or the direct Pirose by Reno Rose YouTube Channels. These scarves are perfect for a light coverup during the day or at night. Also formal events (see the YouTube videos for inspiration). They are great for giving a pop of color if you wear boring solids most of the time like I do!
I found these cheapest at the Amazon and have bought a few over the years. I do not think there is a difference between what they are marketing as the non-nursing shawls so buy what tickles your fancy. I like wearing it as a long scarf and use it as a quick coverup on bebe’s bucket seat. When I re-watch the YouTube videos I get a little fancy and wear it a little different because I remember too!
Back to nursing, this scarf is PERFECT short or long for summer nursing is a cover suits your fancy!
Disclaimer: If you are using this for nursing you need to be experienced with latching if you use the short scarves to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions.
Each Pirose by Reno Rose Multiway Scarf comes with a coordinating pouch and a purple pouch for nursing and the green one for non-nursing. I say this because I only have one non-nursing marketed scarf and this was the only difference I found was the color of the pouch.
And you know me and pouches!
If you need a baby bucket seat cover with full coverage and nurse, then this one has your name on it!
But Pnut, didn’t you just say dark colors. Yes. Yes I did. But this was on sale for less than $9 and most of these sell for much more!!! I LOVE this. Unlike all other blankets or scarves, this provides full breathable coverage over the bucket seat and you can peek in from the top without waking baby! I use this also as a blanket and whilst nursing. I would not use this as an infinity scarf due to the small opening. I also have not tried it as a highchair or shopping seat cover but I am sure it will work if that is your thing. This is semi-breathable and would be recommended for most weather conditions.
If you pump and/or nurse and like to see what is going on behind the cover without fumbling, then I recommend this!
This is actually a Hooter Hider label from Bebe au Lait! They realized that maybe the word Hooter did not sell as well as a fancy french name as Bebe au Lait so their hiders of hooter covers are now discontinued. This has a wire opening so you do not need to do much to see what is going on under. I showed the side pocket because it is made with towel material for wiping and a pocket for a binky, mini towel, etc. I would not recommend this for hot weather nursing you and baby will melt.
No one has said anything about me nursing with or without a cover. Maybe its because I have a do-not-mess-with-me look. Also have you ever tried on eating your meal under a blanket? I did not realize this saying until I nursed using my Hooter Hider in the summer.
Lastly, we have a poncho that doubles as a nursing cover!
I have this in Black and the above Purple. I love this for hiding my pouch (be it baby or non-baby) in the fall and winter. This poncho is so flexible it has a boatneck opening so you can view bebe if you wish whilst nursing and has a slit on the side so you can move your arm with ease. The poncho wears asymmetrical or straight depending how you style it.
Now that my mini-coverup review is done. Let’s go to the rest of the goodies!
Starting with the nom of course!
I welcome all chocolate in subscription boxes. I loved that this was the most generous hot chocolate chocolate on a stick that I had ever seen! I wondered how this would hail from the Trader Joe’s version. I set my mission to find out and I thought this would be sampled only by me for some me time.
Boy was I wrong.
Here is me taking a picture after taking a little nom. You know, just to try it out.
It was nomalicious.
This is what I come to after I find a subscription box cup to pour some almond milk and set the microwave to 1 minute and 30 seconds! I call out for “Whoever took the chocolate on the stick come back here!”
I hear the pitter patter of little feet as wide-eyed puppyeyed Squeak shows up with the Hot Chocolate On A Stick with a bigger nom on the chocolate. This follows by other pitter patters of little feet right behind her.
Because “chocolate”.
The two eldest of my Pnut people assist by taking turns swirling the stick in my PopSugarMustHave cup.
Luckily, once it got dark, they started asking for hot chocolate, allowing me to take a nom out of the chocolate and sip the hot chocolate for a nommy experience as the chocolate melted in my mouth.
I might rebuy this just because of the size. Yup. That’s what she said!
I give all my green lip chapsticks to my Pnut people. Start them off early. Heat would approve 😉
Pnut people approved.
I am a labeler of my Pnut people’s stuff. I usually buy them personalized with a phone number but these are great for school where “Everybody knows your name”. Also to label “Left” and “Right” on the insoles of shoes! I use these archive pens for longevity.

Cool! A code for re-purchasing!

Lil’ Labels No-Iron, Write-On Clothing Labels
If you flip over the middle part, the right side shows the same amount of labels that you see on the left side pictured here.
 PROBIOGEN Daily Digestive Balance Probiotic

Can you here/feel/sense my tide turning?

Its me admitting defeat. Once shunning all supplements in subscription boxes for re-gifting as extras and add ons, now I am welcoming it. It all started with the nursing supplements. Then I needed a calcium and magnesium pill for Aunt Flow making nice with nursing purposes so I found that in a subscription box Prenatal pill. Then I wanted to save calories and being a little more dairy-free so I started to dig into these Probiotic supplements received in subscription boxes.
Oh I fell into the supplement rabbit hole hard.
So this led to my above spoiler alert that I picked out supplements in my next box. I think these probiotics work and they are calorie-free! For some reason, maybe because I am telling my husband we need to stop buying most of our stuff at Trader Joes and not Costco, my digestion feels like its digesting real slow. After popping one of these probiotics, I feel better!

A $10 off coupon because calorie-free Probiotics are expensive!

Did you see what I wrote above about Probiotics costing so much? I am so going to take this when my 7 days sample of the above product runs out. If my husband dares says anything about me taking gripe water I am so going to give him the “stink eye”.
You know, he could use some gas drops….
I mean, seriously, maybe it will make me less fussy. If I am gassy and need a “burp” maybe this will do the same?
Stay tuned as I go down the supplement rabbit hole….
Another item I used to lament receiving and now I am LOVING them!
And anything by Petit Collage!
Especially this new material! WOOD (and its light but durable wood if “chucking” by siblings concerns you)! How different and genius is this! And the strap is very durable. The colors are so vibrant.  I love it and so does baby!

VERDICT:

Another awesome box that blew me away from Ecocentric Mom! A whole lot of goodies for mom, a whole lot of goodies for baby, and sharing the rest of the box with baby’s big sisters like the nom and baby labels. This is seriously the best mom and child box EVER!

If you are looking for a perfect gift for a mom or mom-to-be, I highly recommend Ecocentric Mom!

Yes, I do approve of starting your girls early with the lippies!!

I just found out at Christmas that my niece is pregnant with her first baby (a boy!) so I’m going to be a Great Aunt! (I’ve been a great, awesome, fabulous aunt since I was 8 yrs old.) I will be sharing this information with her and see if she might like this box as a gift as well. Thank you for a fun, helpful review as always Pnut!
