Grove Collaborative Subscription Box Review + Coupon – May 2019

Box: Grove Collaborative (this link gives you $10 and me $10 when you sign up)!

Grove Collaborative

Contents: Curated and/or self-selected eco-friendly products such as Health, Cleaning, Laundry, Hand and Body, Face and Hair, Kids, Scent Free, Oral Care, etc. to ship when you want it (monthly and/or on demand)! Some of the Brands carried are Seventh Generation, Acure Organics, Method, Mrs. Meyers, Molly’s Suds, and house brand Grove Collaborative.

Cost: Price of your items (usually discounted) plus $2.99 shipping (waived if you are a VIP member see more details below).

Kick Back and Get Comfortable:

I LOVE the service that Grove Collaborative offers. Every item that I received was either a promotional free item or discounted. I will keep a lookout for more promos and let you know! Most of the products that I bought were not found on discount via my beloved Amazon. Because I wanted to avoid passing Target and paying $200, we would buy our cleaning products on Home Depot (which were not discounted at all).

We all know how I want to save money in the comfort of my own home.

I found signing up was easy. Grove Collaborative asks a few questions and then curates a box for you. You can then feel free to delete and add items as you wish.

There is a $2.99 shipping charge BUT if you sign up for VIP status, the shipping fee is waived! So while you are shopping look into the VIP trial because you receive free shipping for two months and then you pay $19.99 for a year. In addition to VIP status, you will receive freebies amounting to five (5!) full size items within a year so $19.99 pays for itself in (1) free shipping, (2) five full size items and (3) the already discounted savings on items purchased!!! And if you forget to add the VIP trial to your order (like I did) the VIP trial option appears after you place your first order. And then if you forget that, I am sure the awesome customer service will take of you!

Once you make an order you can set up to change when you want your next delivery and what products you want for that delivery. Grove Collaborative will send advance email reminders and a text reminder (if you give your cell) when a monthly box is scheduled so you can make any modifications to that order. Also a week after you sign up, you will be able to “purchase now” if you need something now.

Grove Collaborative

Note on Customer Service:

Not only is customer service awesome, make sure you look under the customer service representative’s signature because there might be a link with a coupon to one of their favorite products. You know me and codes and coupons.

I also was recently sent an email blast from Grove Collaborative with some points that they wanted their customers to be aware of and if you are not happy with a product they will compensate you! How awesome is that!?!

An other awesome plus is that if there is a promo for new customers, Grove Collaborative usually also rewards continuing customers with a promo as well!

Codes and/or Coupons for new and continuing customers = A Happy and Loyal Pnut

Price Matching Deets:

I noticed when I was stalk tracking my Grove Co box one of their advertisements  on the tracking page was for the VIP program features. One of the features was “price matching”!

Online Price Matching be still my heart!!!

Squeakette

wants me to get started on the review…

This box is huge this month!!! I gotta a ton of Grove Co in this order because of the Earth Day sale/code!

Twist my arm with a good code any day!

I pushed out my order to take advantage of the Earth Day discount code for all Grove Collaborative branded items in the morning and my order shipped out 2 hours later!!!

Amazeballs!!!

Squeakette cracks me up!

Grove Collaborative – All-Purpose Microfiber Cloth, Set of 2 in Periwinkle

Grove Collaborative – All-Purpose Microfiber Cloth, Set of 2 in Periwinkle

This was a VIP gift and I was able to choose between colors (the other two options were a grey and a green). This is very soft and it is no different from the good microfiber cloths that I already have.

I toss all the bad ones.

It washes well.

I did not toss it out.

I only used one for cleaning with just water and I am saving the other to see whether it works as a makeup eraser.

It should work but it is currently in a too-pretty-to-use status.

Grove Collaborative – All-Purpose Microfiber Cloth, Set of 2 in Periwinkle

A plus that Grove Co does have over the other microfiber cloths is that it has that corner hood which is awesome because I prefer a hood or loop since I have those command hooks behind most of my kitchen cabinets and I reach for whatever there is first.

Much better than a blind hand swipe/search in the depths of the cabinet for a cloth.

This Seventh Generation purchase is in your honor LC!!!

Seventh Generation – Stain Remover
Seventh Generation – Stain Remover

Seventh Generation – Stain Remover

I LOVE Seventh Generation products. Especially at Grove Co’s $3.99 price!?! But why are they changing the packaging again!?! I hate the regression back to the generic/boring. I digress, despite the horrible new packaging, I was able to try this all by itself (the bottle was at the right place at the right time). The stain in question was a “poonami of epic proportions”. Usually, I need to do my “kitchen sink” technique at least twice but only with this Seventh Generation it came out on the first try via quick wash without any extra detergent.

Stain remover of poonamis of epic porportions. Marketing should use this as a slogan!

Grove Collaborative – Stain Remover Spray
Grove Collaborative – Stain Remover Spray

Grove Collaborative – Stain Remover Spray

Ok this is more expensive than the Seventh Generation plus its also half the size.

But I had a code!

And/But hear me out, this fits in my laundry closet shelf and the Seventh Generation does not. Also, the packaging here is cuter than the Seventh Generation.

Hence, I will be using this bottle until it dies and will be refilling it with the Seventh Generation juice.

Fortunately, I was able to review this because I ran out of blue Dawn on my shelf and I was too lazy to do my “kitchen sink” technique when I had two perfectly new stain remover sprays on hand. I tried this spray into (Easter Bunny) chocolate stains on a soft white cotton dress of one of my squeakers. I ran it by itself on quick wash without any extra detergent and the stains went out.

Grove Co unboxing day was a day full of stains and cleaning.

Grove Collaborative – Collapsible Laundry Bag

Grove Collaborative – Collapsible Laundry Bag

I was lusting for this bag since it appeared awhile back. I didn’t want to spend $20. But with a code I happily added it to my cart! This is substantial canvas like if you wanted a fancy canvas beach bag this would be the thick fabric used.

There is nothing to hold it up besides what you put into it so it is not one of those “pop up” bags.

Grove Collaborative – Collapsible Laundry Bag

This is really tall. I had plans other than laundry for this bag. Even though it is round you can shove it in the corner of the closet (and you can squish it unlike other square counterparts).

Squishable is what I was looking for. Because one must need to squish things into a closet at any given time.

I put my tall gift paper rolls in this laundry bag. Before, they would be in a box but for some reason, they would escape or find their way to hide themselves in the closet, then I would buy more (on sale of course), and then they would disappear again. This Grove Co bag contains these suckers and I cannot justify buying another gift roll for a long time now!

Grove Co made me do it. Grove Co made me clean out my closet. I found gift rolls mating in the back!!!

Mrs. Meyer’s – Hand Soap in Peony

Mrs. Meyer’s – Hand Soap in Peony

Squeakette thinks I have too many Mrs. Meyer’s Hand Soap in Peony and she may be right. But she knows that it is limited edition and allows me to get only one per month until they sell out.

Squeakette does her best to keep her momma’s hoarding habits in check.

Grove Collaborative

VERDICT:

This order shipped faster and was mailed faster than I got to review it! I am sooo happy to have the opportunity to have a code that discounted Grove Co branded items and I hope that Grove Co finds other days to offer these codes again because I will totally take them up on their offer!

Just try not to do codes around the holidays Grove Co because I do enough damage as it is with holiday codes abound!

I have been lusting over that laundry bag ever since it came out. Every month it was in my cart and every month I pushed it off to the next month. Earth Day was the day that I was able to bring this bundle of canvas to my home.

Sorry not sorry the fantasy of sharing my dreams of having all my wrapping paper held by this laundry bag is now complete.

I am really happy to get a nice stain remover bottle that I can refill with the not so nice looking Seventh Generation stain remover.

Maybe one day Seventh Generation will go back to modern re-packaging their products. But by then perhaps the stain remover would not be $3.99 because they keep re-packaging their brand. Hmmmmm… maybe I should stock up. I need to speak with Squeakette….

I digress, I love this month’s Grove. Perfect curation by Pnut.

Maybe its because I choose what I want for my box and I love spoilers.

Grove Co = My monthly cleaning motivation.

Because even Amazon Save & Subscribe doesn’t motivate me.

I got the little rags too. I hate that texture so much though. Do you have issues with the MM soap pumps?? I got a jug of soap to refill the bottles but they’re all breaking before I can refill!!

      Hi Onderria!!!

Are you air drying the rags? It makes the texture a little more bearable.

I used up the MM Watermelon by decanting into discontinued Method Mickey/Minnie Mouse foam soap dispensers. I eventually have issues with foam soap dispensers but its due to age if you have an issue right off the bat (I had with Babyganics foam dish soap initially) contact Grove they will make it right I am sure 🙂

Ahh no it’s all of our bottles. I bought a glass and plastic pump bottle; I found the metal ones rust quickly.

Have you considered one of those automatic foaming soap dispensers? It’s on the back of my mind to get one of these days I will have to price track one *adds one to Amazon save for later as a reminder*

I’m so behind reading posts, but I’m trying to catch up now, lol. I’ll never buy another stain remover again! The Seventh Gen is awesome! Thanks again for the tip! It’s saved some of my kiddo’s clothes for sure!
