Bulu Box Review – June 2015

Bulu Box is a health related subscription that has two options: Regular and Weight Loss. Cost Varies on subscription length however even at the month to month price it is only $10. You get points for reviewing the products (very similar set up to Birchbox) and it is easy to earn enough points for free items.

Items in your box can include just about anything. Healthier snacks, vitamins, or herbal remedies are just some of the items I have received in my Bulu Box. While not everything has been to my taste, I do really enjoy trying out different health products.

I apologize some of the pics are sideways, for whatever reason it won’t let me edit them.

Yeah you know you are in for a surprise!

UP4 - Adult Probiotic
UP4 – Adult Probiotic

UP4 – Adult Probiotic: This is a vegan probiotic. I am not sure what that means, but I am sure vegans would want to know. I am a big believer in probiotics and general gut flora health. Why? Because science that’s why. Also how dare you question me when I am discussing “gut flora” right now?!?

Seriously though, these pills are super duper small. Like I could put this into your drink like no problem. Sigh, not like those other pills I try to slip into your drinks… I like that the sample gives you five days worth so you can see if you get any result. I will give them a whirl and try out!

Would it be romantical if I were to send you a gut flora bouquet?

Xlear - Nasal Spray
Xlear – Nasal Spray

Xlear – Nasal Spray: The only thing I seem to like up my nose is cat hair these days so I was very iffy about giving this a try. So I did what anyone in my position would do, I passed it off to someone else to try for me. This spray is meant to wash out and hydrate your sinuses all without the use of magic spells.

The report that I got back is that it does not burn. Which is good to know!

Perhaps this will help on an airplane to not only protect yourself from floating germs, but also freak out the talkative person next to you into being silent shocked.

UrgentRx - Upset Stomach
UrgentRx – Upset Stomach

UrgentRx – Upset Stomach: This is just one of the many types of medications that this brand makes. They are meant to work fast and to not need water. So if you were driving you could just pop one of these open and you wouldn’t even have to stop at a gas station for your Smart Water. You do drink Smart Water right?

I thought long and hard about this and have decided that it is really a pretty cool product. I have no tired this tummy one but I have tried the headache version and it does work quickly. The flavor is good, and I am always glad when I am not stuck taking a pill.

If you get the whole collection you will be like a boy scout!

RESCUE - Pastilles
RESCUE – Pastilles

RESCUE – Pastilles: I wanted to dislike these. Especially since I had to read the directions to even figure out how to open them. Alas, I really do like them a lot. They are not too sweet and have a citrus taste that sort of brightens up the taste buds. While I am not personally a huge believer in anything homeopathic I will admit that these helped me out in a very stressful situation.

I rolled up to my car to go home after my last appointment of the day when I realized it had gone dead. I had to wait an hour and half for the guy to come out and jump my car. Worse still the company sent some kid who had no idea what he was doing. After about 40 mins of him trying to jump my car they decided I probably needed a tow truck. I had to wait another hour and half for the tow guy to come out. Only for him to tell me that he could jump my car. He has is started in less than 5 mins!

Usually I would be in a state but these little candies somehow helped me keep it together I swear. Must be the bright flavor working its way into my attitude.

Candies for a cure… of your bad mood… maybe.

Martha Stewart Essentials - Women's Multivitamin
Martha Stewart Essentials – Women’s Multivitamin

Martha Stewart Essentials – Women’s Multivitamin: I was surprised when they sent me out a full size bottle of vitamins! I was ready to dismiss them as just like any other on the market but was impressed with all the different herbal ingredients and extracts. The price is also really reasonable for a product that has so many healthy ingredients. I will caution anyone to always read the nutritional labels on these things to make sure you can take it. I don’t want you to get sick!

Wouldn’t it be great if taking these made me more crafty and suddenly good at baking?

Food For Sleep
Food For Sleep

Food For Sleep: I never really thought about what happens to my body when I am sleeping. I usually am busy worrying about what my cat gets up to while I am snoozing. Is she running with a bad crowd and throwing big parties? Let me know if you hear anything!

So this product uses tart cherry juice that is high in Tryptophan to help lull you into a slumber where worried melt away. The taste is very tart and you can mix it with sugar or whatever you would like. I thought about making a cocktail with this to really get my pass out on but thought better of it…

Hopefully this does not interact with other medications like Ambien does, I would hate to blog while sleeping!

June 2015 Bulu Box

Verdict: I think Bulu Box did a great job with my box this month and I was surprised to get two full size products. I like being able to try out these types of things without having to go into the store and listen to a sales person prattle on and on about natural this or organic that. Bulu Box gives me a chance to try things on my own and decide for myself!

I just typed up a whole bunch of it and my website had a problem and it didn’t save. I feel like throwing a big fit. Like an epic one! Ok, pulling out some Rose to make it happen.
