Serendipity by Little Lace Box Review

Since Little Lace Box (LLB) made the change to send out a box every other month it has put many customers on a roller coaster of emotions. The month they get the box they are anxious and excited, then they get the box and they are overjoyed. Then, the lull of the wait during the month that LLB does not ship out a box. All these women are holding on to the knowledge that the next  month they will feel that high once again.

Which brings us to Serendipity, LLB’s answer to the lull month. The cost will be $9.99 which will include shipping. Those who already have a Little Lace Box subscription are getting Serendipity for free at the moment, but it won’t be a forever thing. Items and themes in the box are still being worked out but that goes with the whole idea of Serendipity anyway right?

When I received this I almost thought I had another Ipsy bag until I turned it over!

Ofra Cosemetics – Universal Eyebrow Pencil: Last month really was the month of the eyebrow! I feel like I have no excuse to walk around with my below par brows at this point and will have to google how to apply this stuff without ending up looking like I am hearing some very surprising and unhappy news.

This pencil worked for my brows, and helped me fill in this odd little bald spot I have formed on my left brow. The sad thing is I didn’t even notice it until a couple days ago and I am not sure when it showed up or even how it happened!

Do you think I tweeze my brows in my sleep?!?

Ofra Cosmetics – Plum Lip Liner: I will admit I put this on my eyebrow by accident first because I was not paying attention. I looked like I had an interesting take on a trend only followed by stone fruit. Once I figured out my mistake I tried this out on my mouth flaps. It is dark and would be perfect for someone with the right coloring. I have really small lips so dark shades tend to not look so great on me. I liked that it goes on lightly, but usually prefer a more moist liner. I have super dry lips.

I wonder if those free spirits who never colored inside the lines use lip liner?

Ofra Cosmetics – Bordeaux Lip Gloss: This gloss is very dark and rich in color. I so wish I was able to pull a color like this off. But again, my small bird lips make me less inclined to attempt it. The color went on rich and stayed a really long time. I liked that it did not dry out my lips and that the color stayed true. I personally felt the scent was a little off putting because it smelled so sweet. Although I can see this being a super plus for other people!

I could put this all around my mouth at a baking contest and make passing comments like “I would NEVER eat a whole pie when someones back was turned,” and “I really like berry cobblers… REALLY.”

Bella Ink: This card is so darling and I can’t wait to give it to a special person! I would love to get a card like this and the art is so cute. I am going to check out more of her designs because it is always good to have back up greeting cards for those moments when you  want to make someone feel special.

Do you think the creator of Bella Ink Melissa Danaher sends thank you cards for getting thank you cards? Creating an infinite loop?

Brode Electrolyte Vitamin: If you are going to be in a situation where you might need to think of your ability to hydrate (Running for the women at LLB, Drinking for me) then you pop these and hydrate away. They are not for daily use but for when you know you are going to be depleting your electrolytes and want to fight dehydration.

I will take  this on my next beer tasting tour and report back!

Verdict: I think this is a great value for $9.99 and am looking forward to seeing how this subscription will develop over time. I think they will being doing a lot more than beauty so it will be interesting to watch! I am glad they are giving regular Little Lace Box subscribers a free taste of Serendipity and have no doubt this will become a well rounded sub.

Thank you! I just don’t get that sexy look, I end up looking like I am some sort of goth…

I get the sexy look with dark lipstick 🙂 I thought it was Ipsy too when I first saw the bag in a review. I do think my sister tweezers her eyebrows in her sleep. She would love all the eyebrow products that have been in sub boxes lately. The card is adorable.

That’s lucky! I swear my lips are so thin I always have a sort of miffed look about my face. I do like the purple lipstick I got. It makes me feel young and carefree lol
