Petit Vour Mystery Box Review

Disclosure: There are no referral/affilaite links in this post. This box was paid for by me.

Petit Vour launched a mystery box for a limited time last week. It was stuff full of their favorites. I couldn’t resist. After all, that is where I discovered my beloved Pelle Beauty Luxe Beauty Oil.

Subscription: Petit Vour Mystery Box – This is a one time box that is sold out.

Cost:  $25.00

What to expect: A variety of PV favorites. Boxes may have slight variations.

Lots of items!
Lots of items!

Look at all the goodies! I was surprised by how many items were in the box. OK, I admit that I rummaged through it quickly to look for the Nubian Heritage Mango Body Butter.

Yes, I am addicted to not only scrubs, but body butter. Bring all body butters and scrubs to the intervention that Subscriptionista will be holding at the hotel.

Yarok Feed Your Ends Leave In Conditioner 2 oz

Petit Vour knows my needs. I finished a bottle of this conditioner last week. It’s free of gluten, alcohol, parabens, sulfates and cruelty. It’s 100% vegan. We are also helping saving the rainforest by using this product. I am happy to receive a hair product I can use!  Yarok means green in Hebrew.

Maybe my cats are not talking to the goat syndicate. They may be talking to the conditioner gang.

Schmidt's Begamont Lime Deodorant
Schmidt’s Begamont Lime Deodorant

Schmidt’s Bergamot Lime Deodorant: I am leaving this and a few other items unopened because I may be sending them off. Natural deodorant is controversial because not all can tolerate it. I found it best to wait until at least a half hour after showering. Schmidt’s Deodorant provides 24 hour odor protection and wetness relief. Q-tips work well for those that don’t want to touch the deodorant.  The deodorant is free of aluminum, parabens, and phthalates. Schmidt’s Deodorant is made in Portland, Oregon, USA.

My sister loves this deodorant. She has armpits of steel.

BWC Natural Mineral Eye Defining Pencil
BWC Natural Mineral Eye Defining Pencil in Soft Brown.

BWC Natural Mineral Eye Defining Pencil: The pencil is cruelty-free and gluten-free. I love the hearts on the pencil. The pencil is made in the UK.

Can you tell I don’t use eye makeup?

French Girl Mineral Lip Tint
French Girl Mineral Lip Tint

French Girl Mineral Lip Tint Be sure to use this link because the website listed on their label is no longer active. This is a cruelty-free, vegan-friendly lip tint that builds up color. It does have a slight scent of rose and peppermint. This is made in the USA.

Oui Please Subscribers can breathe easily knowing that this company is not located in Dallas.

Earthbody Dream Body Oil
Earthbody Dream Body Oil

Earthbody Sacred Skincare Dream Body Oil: Be sure to click on the link if you are unsure how to apply the oil. The dream oil was my first body oil. I remember receiving it in my Petit Vour subscription box wondering what to do with it. Now I love body oils. It’s relaxing to massage the oil into my body. The Dream Body Oil enhances mental clarity. I remember liking this oil a lot. I’m glad it is back. The oil is gluten-free, vegan, no GMO, no animal testing. I am unable to describe the scent adequately. Notes are frankincense, lavender, and sandalwood.  It has a light scent. The oil is handcrafted in San Francisco, CA.

I’m noticing a West Coast theme to this box.

Modern Minerals Truth and Beauty Back
Modern Minerals Truth and Beauty Back

Modern Minerals Shimmer Eyeshadow in Lola: The eye shadow is a warm rosy pink with shimmer. It is cruelty-free, paraben-free, phthalates-free and made in the USA.

Sometimes writing the blog is like being on a game show. I need someone to shout me a tagline.

Tay Roship Balancing CLeanser with SeaBuckthorn
Tay Roship Balancing Cleanser with SeaBuckthorn

Tay Rosehip Balancing Cleanser with Seabuckthorn: I am having a hard time finding information on this product that leaves me to believe it is discontinued. The container is made from bamboo. Tay is sold in one store on the West Coast, of course.  The owner uses beauty and art together to create Tay’s skincare line. It is a vegan and cruelty-free product. It’s made in the USA.

I think this wins the cutest sample container award.

Pelle Beauty Stellar Beauty Oil
Pelle Beauty Stellar Beauty Oil

Pelle Beauty Stellar Beauty Oil: I’m excited to see Pelle Beauty. I use this lightweight oil as a primer on my skin when using a clay mask. Pelle Beauty is a great company whose owner is a wonderful, helpful person. The oil is free from water, preservatives, dyes, fillers and synthetic fragrances. Pelle Beauty is a vegan company located in Canada.

It’s Sub Bella’s lucky day. More Pelle Beauty Oil!

Harvey Prince Fragrances
Harvey Prince Fragrances

Harvey Prince Fragrances: Damask Rose is a classic rose perfume. Journey’s notes are South African Freesia, Japanese Orange Flower, and Moroccan Rose. Journey is now known as Sincerely. Imperial Gardenia is a sensual Gardenia perfume. Harvey Prince was founded by 2 brothers. Their perfumes are made in the USA and do not contain phthalates, parabens, sulfates, benzene, GMOs, or triclosan.

Every Birchbox gal knows Harvey Prince.

A night-time story.
A night-time story.

Imperial Gardenia – Wear it on a blind/online date!

Verdict: The Petit Vour Mystery Box was a fun journey back in time. I received most of these items before and am happy to see some of my favorites. I only wish it had a body butter! Maybe another time.

Does anyone recognize the background? Did you receive the Petit Vour Mystery Box? What did you receive? What do you think of my box? Share below and anything else on your mind.

I didn’t order one of their mystery boxes and I wish I had. I just started subscribing to their box and have my first one waiting for me at home (I’m on vacation).

LOL at the Harvey Prince story!!! So funny!

He quickly noticed her eyepatch and he was again transported back to Lana’i where he fought a duel against a man who the natives called “Willie.” He never forgot the way Willies eye burst as he shot, just as striking and jarring as the burst of fragrance from one of the gardenia’s he placed on Willies grave.

    I’ll take three bottles please!

I saw that on the card and thought to myself, “I must post this.” Love your ending!

I wish I could have gotten this box, was out of town. But I have had trouble using face oils, will have to try the Pelle I received a few months back in some box again seeing you like it so much. Yarok is hard for me to use just enough to not make me look greasy. Love those perfumes though, Gardenia is my mom’s favorite scent. That cleanser is so cute too. LOL on the comment on the French Girl, reminds me of the ‘is this shirt made of lotion’ comment on the Oui Please review. That was so true, a box of lotion, more lotion, and look more lotion!

I have a couple months left of birchbox, I think I will swap that one out for Petit Vour. I can’t use half of the stuff Ipsy and Birchbox send out due to allergies. Getting Hikari lipgloss and some cleanser from Ipsy this month I can’t use. But I also am getting Starlooks eyeliner, HD Powder and a Briogeo volumizer spray that I can use.

I’ll send you the perfumes. Let me know what else you want. I will be keeping the Earthybody oil, Pelle Beauty, oil,and the Yarok. You can have everything else if you want.

Sub Bella my box twin thank you for reviewing this!
I want to use the Yarok for my eldest wee one but Shana said above that it made her hair greasy do you any suggestions? I use babyganics for my wee ones so this will be the sulfate free detangler/conditioner.
I like the face oil it made my skin soft. I am going to save it for fall/winter when my face will appreciate it more.
The deodorant will get passed on to my MIL she loves that stuff and makes her own it did not work for me. I think she will like the packaging more travel convenient and less likely to leak out.
The body oil is moisturizing I use it at night. Doesn’t make me sleepy but at least it is moisturizing and absorbs fast. I do detect the calming lavender scent mixed with other notes.
My cleanser looks like yours too. Eyeliner goes in my stash of eyeliners. I will try out the French girl soon the reviews look awesome so I am looking forward to it.
I think we lucked out with our boxes compared to what others got.

I have boys that don’t believe in conditioner. I did spray the leave-in conditioner on my little guy’s head and had the same problem. Maybe Kelly has a suggestion.

I will just one spray and pray
*wonders why no has marketed baby conditioner when baby coulognue is being sold*

        • August 6, 2015 at 7:40 pm

I have super thick wavy/curly hair I spray it about five times throughout my hair and then use my hands to massage it in. Baby cologne?

Yes. Not a purchaser but have smelled the Mustela one which smells like baby lol! Sophia Vergara brought it up on the Ellen show and that got me thinking about baby conditioner being unmarketed … I mean babies with long hair get knots they deserve conditioner/detanglers too!
