Anyone who reads this blog already knows how into kitties we all are and when Sub Bella told me about this subscription you know I had to have it! Cat Lady Box donates 5% of all profits to cat rescue organizations, seek to feature small independent artists, and tries to redefine what the world thinks of crazy cat ladies.

I am all for those things! As a Cat Lady myself I am tired of people assuming that after a long day I retire to a dark basement and after putting on my tattered and worn robe, I trod along the carpet covered in cat hair to toss kibble about for my army of cats. No, no! After a long a long day I slink home, open a bottle of wine, feed my cat, and then blog about it! Totally different.

Print – Ablaze in Color: I am digging this print for a few reasons. I love the trippy sort of lines used, and the fact that the artist gives a shout out to both short hair and fluffy kitties. I wonder what these kitties are looking at? Is the black cat actually a tuxedo cat with white in the front? Part of me thinks I should bother the artist to get the background on it, but sometimes mystery is better…

The artist Carolyn Flynn uses pen and ink. I checked out her store and there are some really awesome prints! I love this fox print for reasons that are obvious if you check it out. This will go with my growing cat art collection because I feel that even if you just are a peeping Tom peering into my windows that you should be able to tell that I am a cat lady.

I imagine that Sub Bella’s cats might look like this from time to time on the farm!

 

 

 

 

 

Triple T Studios – Refined Feline Wallet: This wallet is perfect for me! I was telling my tuxedo cat Sophia about how I needed to get a new wallet and I think through the magic of the tuxedo cat network she communicated that to Cat Lady Box! You see Boo “The Official Box Inspector” is a tuxedo cat so I feel he had a word with the curator Dorian.

The box the wallet comes in is really nice. I am going to save it to keep necklaces in. The wallet itself is made of faux leather and has a nice sturdy feel. I am excited because there is a wrist strap for me to wear this as a little purse for when I want to show a little personality but not wear a cat hair sweater. On the website they have different styles of this wallet. i am happy I got the black because it matches my cat!

I sort of want to pull some old school weird the next time someone pulls out their phone to show me those textbook “look at my kids” pics… Right when they do that I will excitedly tell them I have pics to share and pull out a long row of laminated pics of my cat all accordion style. I will unfurl them and exclaim “I have them in order of how much belly you can see!”

If my cat keeps eating all this expensive kibble and using all this expensive litter I am not going to have very much money to keep in my wallet!

 

 

 

 

Triple T Studios – Cat Print Scarf: I should mention that Triple T Studio does give back to the kitty world by donating a part of their proceeds to conversations projects like Lion Guardians and Cheetah Conservation Fund. I am getting more and more behind companies that give back because I have as of late been feeling guilty over my decadent western lifestyle. After all, a lot of places don’t have Cool Ranch Doritos let alone Cooler Ranch Doritos that I enjoy.

Now it would not be a subscription box without a scarf. We know this. I am not even mad because I love the print on the scarf and because it is 100% chiffon it is soft and light. I imagine being a bank robber from the days of the Old West. I would wear my cowboy hat, and then use this scarf to cover my face! They would call me the “Rootin’ Tootin’ Crazy Cat Lady Shootin’ Bank Robber.” Or, I would just wear it like normal woman and look cute. I am still deciding…

I will have to make sure my cat does not steal this from me, she has been known to love “stylish meowvalous Fall accessories.” It will be tough to keep this from her since it matches her fur!

 

 

 

CatLadyBox – Ultimate Cat Lady Car Magnet: I was confused when I first saw the magnet because I thought it was a really thick sticker. I don’t read the info card until after I look at the contents of a box because I get so excited and also I like to pull things out and touch everything! Anyway, I have a huge “Cat Mom” magnet I received as a gift. I have yet to put it on my car because it is well… HUGE. But this little magnet is cute and will be a small code to the others of my ilk to go ahead and let me in their lane. After all, I am one of them.

Do you think this will clash with my Camilla the Hen decal?

For Mew – Crisp: There was a code included to save 15%. I will email to see If I can list it for us! Anyway this thing is awesome and perfect for my kitty! They donate 10% to of profits to cat shelters and use only organic catnip so you can be rest assured your kitty is getting some good stuff. Right when I opened the box she was all over it even though it was in a bag! I had to hide it from her until I wrote the review and took pictures!

I really like a lot of the other fabrics they use. Some of them are so quirky and fun! This shop cat tests every toy and they even list their kitties which is cute and tells me that they really care. When I put grab the crisp I can actually feel the catnip inside! Anyway my little kitty LOVES this!

If power shoulders every come back into style and we need to buy shoulder pads, I want For Mew to make them so that I can have a shoulder cat! 

 

 

 

 

Cat It – Eco Sisal Mouse: This I knew right away was going to be a winner because my kitty loves sisal and plays with feathers. There was not a ton of info on this but, the toy is made of all natural products which I appreciate because I don’t want my little fur baby to get the sicks.

When she is sleeping I sneak up on her and tickle her ear with the feather… Figure it evens things out when she wakes me up with her rump in my face…

Verdict: Again I can see the effort Dorian puts into making Cat Lady Box something special! I was worried that after August’s great box that nothing would please me. I should not have. I was happy that this month did not include treats because Sophia is so weird about them, and the toys were a huge hit. I will actually use the wallet and the scarf even if I decide bank robbing is not my thing. Many of the items are from businesses that give back and that fits in with Cat Lady Box because they give back. I really recommend this box because it doesn’t just contain crap, it is thoughtful and fun!
