Owens Farm Sacred Slumber Dream Salve: I received the Dream Salve in my July Herbal Bliss Box. I have difficulty sleeping at night. I feel that I average about 4-5 hours of restful sleep. I will lay in bed for hours, whether I go to bed at 10:00 pm or 2 am. I can’t fall asleep until around 3 in the morning. Morning comes too soon. Any suggestions?

The dream salve helps me feel sleepy.  It doesn’t help me fall asleep quicker. It’s a start.

Check out his little white paws. Aren’t they adorable.  Apparently I married the husband model that starts projects and takes a long time to finish them. This model is capable of doing the project, but can’t admit he doesn’t have the time. Puss in Boots doesn’t care because the step is in a sunny spot in the yard.

    I’ve never tried a salve or anything… but I’ve tried Melatonin: http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/tc/melatonin-overview
A lot of people swear by it but I didn’t notice much the few times I tried it – if anything, I felt like I was more likely to wake up halfway through the night… but I don’t generally have much trouble sleeping so I can’t complain.
My husband finishes his projects but often with a little too much rushing and lack of perfectionism. It doesn’t have to be perfect but a little more attention to detail or “finish/polish” would be nice. For example, painting – my BFF says she’ll do all our painting (she does enjoy it) because she can’t stand how she can always see the roller/brush strokes from when my husband does it.

Melatonin did not have much effect on me. It works well for my sister. You have a great BFF!

My brother said the tea box with the sleeping bear works. Sleepytime I forgot the label.
I watch jujube packing videos on YouTube makes me doze off …. Shibuya in particular usually makes doze off.
There is this lady in YouTube that touches makeup brushes and talks I saw her in the Today show but have not watch her I think I would get agitated.

I’ll check out the suggestions. I never thought of using YouTube.

John Tesh just came on my radio and said eat a piece of whole wheat toast with a drizzle of honey or peanut butter about 1 hour before bed!

That I can do! I have a few different types of honey that I haven’t used yet thanks to subscription boxes.

Ooh I haven’t heard this tip before, I’m definitely going to try it, thanks Heat!
Sub Bella, as you can see (it now being after 3am EST), I too have the sleep troubles. I will let you know if ever I come across anything helpful. I feel for you, fellow night owl.

Ambien and a glass of red wine works wonders for me. I have tried the Rest Well drink from the Ariana Huffington Quarterly box and I think it helped but is too expensive for me to spend on I think, maybe.

Don’t people sleep-buy on Ambien? I can see myself buying Unbound or some other adult subscription box online. I think I gave the Rest Well to my sister. I should check my cabinets.

The ambien helped me for a long time but I got wear I couldn’t even sleep when I took it. Then when I tried to get off it I really couldn’t sleep.
I have changed my routine a bit to help me sleep. I now shower at night to help me relax and most nights I don’t use anything with a backlight for 1-2 hours before I go to bed (no phone, no iPad, no TV) and read an actual book in bed. Melatonin did nothing for me.

I use Bach rescue sleep spray for 3 am awakening, also Hyland calms forte, these are homeopathic.
