Let’s get this post started!
I am dividing this HG Palette series into two parts. This is Part 1 AKA “My Precious” where you have a precious HG Palette (or two or three) that is so beautiful you hardly use it and mostly admire it. Part 2 will reflect an HG Palette that you reach for so much you hit pan.
My HG “My Precious” Palette is a MAC Holiday eyeshadow, I call her Blue.
I also added her fraternal twin sister, Red, which holds the first five Viva Glam lipstick pans.
I am playing favorites because Blue’s eyeshadow is very usable while some lippies on Red are not so usable due to aging. I may need to pop out the lippies and refill them with something else. The twins are old but I love them. I do not want to hit pan with them. They are my preciouses. It must be the sparkles. It is the sparkles. I believe they are Swarovski crystals.

I don’t have a “my precious” palette. For most of my life, I only bought drugstore eyeshadow. I almost changed my license plate to chpsk8 at one point. But I’ve gotten better (worse!) at spending money thanks to my husband’s influence. Lately my only shadows are from sub boxes and the Revealed 2 & 3 palettes are the only ones I own. (Thanks BoxyCharm!) I’ve considered Udban Decay but it seems like there are too many colors I wouldn’t use… And I just can’t pay over $50 for it!!

I have mixed feelings about Urban Decay. Definately they have only halloween colors but their other colors rock! I actually had a good Urban Decay Duty Free haul on the NY/Canadian border a few years back. Maybe they have sales on their website believe me I try to get everything on sale! I am trying to think if Urban Decay is an EL company then they may have some stuff in their outlets but that only works if you are near one …

LOL I TOTALLLLLLLLY know the feeling of something that is too pretty to use. I think this would be a good series. To Pretty To Use Series… or maybe a funnier title I need to think (or you can do it since you give me the giggles).
Like when you get a new pallet and you just dont want to mess up the perfection of it! sigh!
