Linen Crate is a new home decor box that goes through your house room by room. July was the bathroom, August is Dining Room, and September will be the Kitchen. The original bathroom box was released to mix reviews. Linen Crate responded to feedback and stepped it up with the second wave of bathroom boxes. The quality in the second wave of bathroom boxes is carried forward into the dining room boxes. Let’s see what came in my August Linen.
Subscription: Linen Crate
Cost: $109.00 plus $4.99 shipping
What to expect: Home Decor based on your style profile. A new room is covered every month. You can choose to subscribe monthly, every other month, or every 3 months. Click here to view items that may come in your crate.
Notes: Your first box will be the bathroom Afterwards, you will receive whatever box that is covered that month. There is a quick style profile that takes a couple minutes to go through. Linen Crate has been responsive to all my emails.
Important: This box is not reflective of my style profile. I am schedule to have a box delivered every other month. Linen Crate kindly accommodated my request to receive a dining room box with the understanding that the box may not be to my taste or profile.
Linen Crate must be absorbing part of the shipping cost. There is no way it cost only $4.99 to ship this box. It was heavy and packaged well!
Linen Crate did an excellent job packing the items. The plates were well protected in their travel to my house.
Other subscription boxes can learn from Linen Crate on how to ship potentially breakable items.
It was hot yesterday! I took pictures outside because the natural light is much better than any lighting in my house. It was a big, full, box. My profile is for 4 settings. I received six settings because I requested the box late in the month. I’m sending Subscriptonista two place settings!!! It worked out perfectly receiving six settings.
There’s something exciting about opening a big box full of items!
My son’s picnic table is large enough for one single setting I love how the scallop placemats match the scalloped-edge dishes.
J sat down and wanted me to serve him a snack. He loves the plates.
Dainty Home Wavy Round Placemats: I received a set of 6 placemats. The made-in-China 100% Polypropylene placemats are dry clean only. The neutral color allows the plates to stand out on their own. My kids loved that they’re round.
Has anyone ever dry clean their placemats?
QSquared NYC Ruffle Talavera Red 10.5″ Round Dinner Plate: I linked to Macys because this is a current pattern available at Macys! I’m very impressed that the pattern is available. The dishwasher safe plates have ruffled edges and are BPA-free.
Q Squared NYC Ruffle Talavera Red 5.5″ Round Appetizer Plate: The appetizer plates are perfect for appetizers or desserts. The plates are heat resistant, but not microwave safe. Click here to view the complete Q Squared Talavera Collection. I’m glad that Linen Crate selected a current pattern. It allows you to build upon the collection if you so desire.
I know this isn’t the correct way to set the table. I wanted to illustrate how beautiful the plates look with the placemat. Q Squared NYC offers a selection of decorative plates.
Q Sqaured is founded by a mother-daughter team. They encourage the unexpected through design.
The festive plates will brighten up the upcoming winter days!
The Torre & Tagus Stainless Steel Leaf Platter is made in India. It’s a beautiful design that allows separation of different types of food. It’s a timeless piece that will be used a lot in the upcoming holiday season. I love leaf designs, and this is my favorite piece in the box. The platter fits my family’s personality.
I’m ready for fall to arrive.
This is a nice touch.
My sister tells me that the farm cats do not sit at the table. What do you think?
Verdict: LinenCrate did an amazing job this month. I love the crate. The plates are festive, the leaf platter is amazing, and the placemats provide a nice neutral color to the table. This is the exact type of quality that I want to see from this box. I found Linen Crate to be responsive to my emails. I also can see that they are responsive to customer feedback. I’m looking forward to my September kitchen crate!

Nice review it screams picnic!
No gratuitous furbabies pictures?
I added one in just for you!
Bramble: why did you make me sit at the table?
LOL thx 🙂
My sister taught him to sit at the table. He is her dinner companion.
Although the plates/platter are not my style, they are lovely! This was a great box!
Artemis, Thank you for commenting!
I will check sometime on Sunday to find out why the picture on the home page won’t display correctly. I am having the same issue with the White Peach Pottery post and swap out pictures.
I’ll check to see what the deal is as well. Maybe I’ll get something done today lol
It’s all yours. Partytime starts in little less than an hour.
