Bespoke Post Brisk Subscription Box Review – October 2015

Disclosure: This box was paid for by me using a Groupon voucher. All opinions are of my own and my family. There are affiliate links in this post.

Bespoke Post creates 2-3 themed boxes a month geared towards men. They include quality items that most of the time can be appreciated by all. Sometimes even dogs! A benefit of this box is that you can log into you account and select to skip the month as long as you do it by the 5th of the month. It’s actually by 2 am on the 6th on my account, but I am unsure if that is correct in every timezone.  Best to remember to skip before the end of the 5th of the month.

Subscription: Bespoke Post

Price: $45.00 a month

What to Expect: Each month 2-3 curated themed boxes are released. A box is selected for you based on a short survey. You can choose to stay with that selection, change it to a different selection from the current month, or pick an older box if it is still available.  It’s easier than it sounds.

Is is easier to work with a dog,  a cat, or a 7 year old boy? Let’s see.

What’s that noise?

I love Daisy’s ears in the one picture. I put on a brighter lipstick without realizing how bright it looked in the sun. The wind is blowing my hair all over the place. It made a huge mess of my hair. Bad timing on my part because my husband and I went on a date after the outdoor pictures Saturday.

The Gilded Age Merino Wool Scarf feels soft and warm. The wool does not bother me although it bothers my older son.

The cats agreed that the scarf is warm. Zelda got up and walked away in disgust when I removed the scarf from her. I covered Puss in Boots with a blanket.

Mom, it matches my Tophat
Mom, it matches my TopShop Fedora Hat

Yes, I still have stickers on my wall. I did not allow J to try the hat with the scarf. The scarf is for me! Next thing he will be claiming it. The wool did not bother J.

The sticker monster wants my scarf! He’s trying to bargain with me for it.

Snow showers 10/18/15 in the afternoon
Snow showers 10/18/15 in the afternoon

It’s that time of the year again. Will the first big snowstorm hit before or after the trees are finished dropping its leaves? We prefer our snowstorms after the leaves are cleaned up because leaves on the streets plus snow equal car accidents.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow unless it is Halloween!

The Laundress Wool * Cashmere Spray
The Laundress Wool + Cashmere Spray

The Laundress Wool + Cashmere Spray:  The scent refreshes wool and cashmere fabrics while repelling moths. The scent is a combination of a slight alcohol scent and cedar. I will be using this spray. Bespoke Post included a discount for the Laundress.

Moths, snow, deer. It’s a strange world out here.

Snow Shower

Yes, snow showers today in my little part of the world. It snowed in the morning. Later in the afternoon came the snow showers.

I need to read my camera manual!

Cedar Balls
Cedar Balls

Woodlore Cedar Balls: One ball rolled off the bookcase before I snapped the picture.  I love the scent of cedar. It takes me to a happy place, Watkins Glen State Park. I don’t know if there are cedar trees at the park, but there is a distinct scent when walking through the glen. I will be using the balls.

I love the great outdoors!

The scarf looks different in indoor light! I have a lint brush to remove the cat and dog hair from the scarf.

Verdict: I purchased the Brisk box for myself because I live in an area where the “real feel” temperature is the important temperature. It can be windy and cold in the winter making the “real feel” temperature in the negative. The wool scarf will keep me warm on those cold days. The meteorologists are predicted a milder winter this year for my area. The spiders are gathering that indicates to me that it will be a cold winter. I place my trust in mother nature over the meteorologists. I’m also excited about the Laundress Spray and the Woodlore Cedar Balls. Both items will be useful over the winter.

I am envious of your cedar balls! I was tempted to get this box, and it’s actually the one Bespoke Post recommended for me this month, but since it’s the last month in my subscription I decided to hold out to see what else they had this winter!

Also, I was rather envious of all the sunny days you seem to have! But, then came snow pictures. Since leaving the midwest I do not miss the snow, but I do like pictures of it.

The sunny days are unusual for us. I live in one of the top 5 cloudiest cities. I hope a great winter box comes your way.

I also like your cedar balls! The smell of cedar reminds me of growing up visiting my grandmother. She had a cedar chest she kept all her special keepsakes in and it was such when we would look at them together! 🙂

Wow. Honestly best review ever and the fact that it was of a scarf literally blows my mind. So much so Sophia Von Beacat de Coronado is actually typing this message…

Love the balls, the models who rocked that scarf, and another $100 laundress freshener spray to boot!
