I love gardening, herbs, and the great outdoors. I read about Herbal Bliss and knew it was a box that I had to try. This will be my sixth month with them. I noticed that I tend to use all the items in the box.
Subscription: Herbal Bliss
Cost: $25.00/month, $66.00/3 months, $120.00/6 months, $216.00/12 months
What to Expect: Five unique herbal samples
My box arrived in September. I am trying to spread out the reviews because the first week of the month is slow when it comes to box deliveries. Herbal Bliss is hosting a home spa weekend. The blog has all the excited details. The items also reminded me of how Pnut wrote about the simple pleasures that can be experienced by using a luxe soap. We need to be taking the time to enjoy the wonderful, beautiful products that we received in subscription boxes.
Take your pretties out of the boxes and start using them!
I’m excited to see Truffle Bath Fizzies in the box.
Common Scents Soap Bath Truffles: I have a new mail carrier who throws my boxes up the stairs. This may be due to the stairs not being finished. I may have to call a contractor in to finish what my husband started. It won’t be the first time. The one contractor told me that this type of husband provided the bulk of his business!
Embarrassing, but true. I’m determined that I will have steps before the snows arrive.
I can’t wait to try the truffles out! The design makes it extra-special to use.
Ladies – Use those beautiful bath products!
I’m not having much luck in finding the companies on the internet. Most of the farmers I know don’t bother with the upkeep of a website, blogs, and social media.
Including me, yet here I am blogging about subscription boxes.
I received rosemary candles. It’s rare to receive taper candles in a subscription box. The only other taper candles I have are from the first Design Sponge Quarterly Box. The candles have a light rosemary scent.
I looked in the thesaurus for synonyms for the word “light”. You’ll have to deal with it. Or substitute the word “airy”.
The Sciabica Family is the oldest olive producing family in the United States. Four generations have been producing the olive oil.
Check out their olive oils! Yummy!!!
Sciabica’s California Olive Oil Lavender Extra Virgin Olive Oil Skin Moisturizer: I used the Lavender Olive Oil Skin Moisturizer this morning. It had a wonderful soft scent and absorbed completely in about 60 seconds.
I’m in lavender heaven!
The moisturizer contains 2 ingredients – Olive Oil and Lavender. Nothing else.
I like my products simple!
The moisturizer can be used in recipes. There is a lavender scones recipe listed below the product description. I believe this is the first time I received a moisturizer that can double as an ingredient in a recipe.
Perfect for Subscriptionista! An oil she can eat and use as a moisturizer.
Wandering Goods Tea Tree & Lemongrass and Sanitzing Spray: Wandering Goods is made with love in Oregon, USA. I’m not 100% sure, but I think Wandering refers to wildcrafting. Wildcrafting is going to the plant’s habitat and harvesting it. An example would be to pick dandelion leaves from your yard, not grow them in your garden to harvest. It’s my best guess from the information on the website.
We love items made with love.
I need to wipe the shredded paper dust off the products! I sprayed the spray and could smell a hint of alcohol that died down leaving the tea tree & lemongrass scents to be enjoyed.
I like the smell of lemongrass. We sprinkled seeds throughout our lawn and can smell the lemon scent when we cut the grass.
I love the scent and will take this up to the farm where I encounter much more yuckier situations. I saw that Wandering Goods makes soap. I may purchase the Arnica Soap to see if it helps with my ache and pains.
More soaps for me!
Cuisine Mentor Indian Tandoori Gourmet Spice Blend: The Indian Tandoori Spice Blend is gluten-free. I will be passing this to my sister because she has a hard time finding gluten-free spices. Gluten can appear in spices as a filler.
Gluten-free items are launching a take-over. The goat syndicate better watch out!
The Oregon, USA-based company bills Tandoori as the Indian version of chicken barbecue.
Another Oregon company!
Recipes are available on the back of the spice package. Additional recipes and a background on the Tandoori spice is available on CuisineMentor’s Website. My sister is going to enjoy making the chicken.
I’m glad they are mentoring us how to cook the spice because it is an unfamiliar spice to me.

Verdict: I look forward to receiving my Herbal Bliss box every month. The dried flowers were a nice touch especially since it has been raining for five days straight. I’m sending the rain over to the west coast. The box has a great mixture of products that I will use. I can’t wait to see what comes in October’s box!
What do you think of the September Herbal Bliss Box? Share below and anything else on your mind!
Wow, this box looks fantastic! Good variety and original products (taper candles!) That lavender olive oil looks perfect for you – I noticed you said it has a “soft” scent so there’s a new way to say “light” or “airy”. What about a “subtle” scent? Or go opposite: a “not very strong” scent. 😉
But I like your light and airy descriptions – wonderful review! You’re right about Gluten-free… goats better watch their backs.
Good ideas! Keep them coming 🙂 I’m starting to wonder if the goats have been put out of business.
I am liking the lavender oil! I use olive oil after I get my eyebrows waxed – so I will not have the dreaded unibrow 😉 – and this sounds like it would be nice to use instead of just regular olive oil! I find olive oil helps me with the redness and any stickiness that is left over from the wax.
Did you try cooking with the oil? Does it put a lavender flavor on the food? We call light scents “private” scents because I have an in law who wears so much that we nicknamed her the PPP. Public perfume Person.
I should give it a try. I have tried lavender-flavored food and liked it. I may use the “private” scent idea in a review. I’m running out of ways to explain light scents.
I love Common scents, She Has A Booth at Burnham Bridge market in Portland!
I was wondering if she was in Portland. The only link I could find that might be her company was from a couple of years ago. It was in Portland about a person working in the dentistry profession and made soaps at night. It was the same business name. Common Scents is used by a few business. I didn’t want to link to the wrong link.
Good review. I find humor in your lemon grass commentary. Maybe too much I got a case of the giggles.
I am disappointed that the truffles were not of the chocolate variety. It looks like a treat but not a nom. I think I am hungry and perhaps tired (long day).
I love unwinding with Subista & Pals!
aww, I heart my sub sistahs too.
<3!!!!!!
I heart everyone!!!
My sister almost ate a bath truffle that looked and smelled like a chocolate truffle.
Did you have something to do about that lol?
How many minutes apart where you? I am going to bet your the older one.
Oops! I did not see this. She did it on her own and called me to warn me LOL. It is something I would do to her. Subscriptionista is the twin.
Good call. I am the older sister by four years.
Right on for some reason I thought it was a twin comment lol but at least I was right on the older sister part lol
