They include a book to give details about each product included.

Bella Sophia Baking Company - Cranberry Almond Biscotti
Bella Sophia Baking Company – Cranberry Almond Biscotti

Bella Sophia Baking Company – Cranberry Almond Biscotti: I have grown to really like biscotti as an adult, or someone who looks like an adult at least. I also love cranberry and almond so this was a slam dunk for me. I tend to think that biscotti’s aren’t really a dessert  item because they are not overly sweet, so that makes them healthy. BSBC uses quality ingrediants, and is owned by Carolyn Long, a “reformed” attorney. This had me thinking of an attorney turned bad all Law & Order style, but really she decided to follow her passion and trade long hours at the office for enjoyable ones at the oven.

Bella and Sophia are the names of the owners daughters not Sub Bella, and Sophia von Bearcat de Coronado (my tuxedo cat).

A Couple of Squares - Maple Pecan Shortbread
A Couple of Squares – Maple Pecan Shortbread

A Couple of Squares – Maple Pecan Shortbread: Wow, I have had these before and I still love them! They say this is an ode to Canadian flavors and while this is not covered in poutine frosting it is about the most delish treat that isn’t chocolate ever! The maple just adds depth and complements the butter shortbread in a way that made me not want to share it!

So I didn’t!

Salem Baking Co. - Pumpkin Spice Cookies
Salem Baking Co. – Pumpkin Spice Cookies

Salem Baking Co. – Pumpkin Spice Cookies: So I could not wait to try these and right after taking the picture I ate one slim little cookie. I came back into the house and my twin came over to sniff me and say “Whoa you smell like Pumpkin Spice!” So I promise those who love the pumpkin spice yummy are not going to be disappointed in this cookie at all. They are thin and PERFECT to go with a tea.

Eat one of these a day to be very popular among all those die hard pumpkin spice fans!

Cheryl's - Fall Harvest Buttercream Cookie
Cheryl’s – Fall Harvest Buttercream Cookie

Cheryl’s – Fall Harvest Buttercream Cookie: This is such a cute cookie! mine came a little broken but still looking good enough to eat. I could see buying these for when company comes to stay for the holidays. You could be a good hostess/host and put it out for them as a treat. Mind you, if they don’t show up with champagne or some other gift you would probably tuck these cookies far away and just bring out the Costco tin.

I want a bust made of me out of buttercream, it is on my bucket list!

Rip Van Wafel - Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Wafel
Rip Van Wafel – Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Wafel

Rip Van Wafel – Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Wafel: This company was started out by owners  who really hustled to get their product noticed. Even going so far as to couch surf! What you do is place this on top of your coffee cup while you wait to drink it. The heat makes its way into the treat making it really something to nosh on! I love chocolate and am glad to see a little in the box. They also have a subscription which of course I think is cool.

They should make special travel mugs so you can enjoy these while commuting for work. Talk about not stressing over traffic!

Orange Glad

Verdict: I always look forward to seeing Orange Glad in my mailbox. I love to treat myself and this subscription makes it easy to bring a little joy into each month. I think this month was a bit cookie heavy but it was nice to see that they were all different flavors. I did notice that they did not have the usual map on the info card listing locations of each treat and that was a bit of a bummer. This subscription makes my month a lot sweeter, or at least the week it takes me to finish all the treats!

I miss the fashionable silver cavity bling I used to have. Perhaps I need to eat loads of candy and find myself a very low-cost dentist.

Lol bling! I’ve never ever had a cavity… I did hit my tooth so hard while serving in the peace corps that I killed the tooth and so I have an implant. I like to think of it as my bionic chomper. To those of you with kids or booze n’ time don’t play Edward 40 hands. That is all.

      • October 25, 2015 at 11:43 pm

How does the implant feel? Like it was yours? I am gonna need AT LEAST one. I was told impartial lower dentures are a PIA and I should go the implant path.

Otherwise your post made me hungry. That wafel subscription sounds tempting (20% with free ship). We are still in apolcalpsye mode here eating from fridge, freezer, pantry til closing and then moving. It’s not bad but mention of outside Noms are appreciated lol.

It feels just like a tooth. Probably smoother because it doesn’t collect tarter. So it always feel just cleaned. It is a load bearing tooth so they had to pull out the dead one and the drill in the post to my jaw. Then they put bone grafting stuff in it and I had to wait for a few weeks while my bone grew to support the tooth. I had a retainer with a fake tooth on it. But I figured it wasn’t so noticeable and never wore it.

Fun fact your teeth get mad target in between them. I had my now visible sides cleaned.

One the bone grew the screw in the post to the fixture already in the jaw. And put my brand new tooth on it. Fit and looks really good. I still have to floss it for gum health but the chopper is better than the old one

Ok I feel better about it knowing it feels like a tooth and not something foreign. Not that I have a choice *sigh*

It feels like nothing is there. like a real tooth. I would say if you had to pic this or anything else to just go ahead and get the implant. It really is amazing.

          • October 27, 2015 at 11:36 am

I still have to go for my dental implant 🙁

It sucks but you will feel so much better once the whole thing is done. It wasn’t fun getting a tooth pulled and going thru it all but now I swear it feels like a real tooth!

          • October 27, 2015 at 8:37 pm

See I think my situation might be more painful. One side the tooth has already been pulled so a hole needs to be placed. The other side is a re-treatment that appears to be failing = extraction + implant.

It will hurt. I won’t lie. But you have birthed kids. This is all a walk in the park next to that!!!

          • October 27, 2015 at 9:17 pm

Heh… Two of them without an epi (not by choice). I may not ever get my epi I progress too fast now. I do not recommend natural childbirth. Thank goodness for reset buttons.

Hydrocodone is my friend. I prefer roids because the dental pain “poofs” but for some reason dentists have no problem pushing the narcotic over the roids I rather feel no pain than feel pain but not care. You recovered after a week?

I should make an appointment before the years end to get the ball rolling so I can use the allowance for this year…

Whoa! You are kinda my hero now!

I had a pre molar pulled. (while they pulled they put the other stuff in my jaw to heal, if you have a front tooth pulled they can often get it all done right then) Anyway, I think it took like 2 days to feel ok to walk around and stuff. It was weird. I am a big baby though. So I really played up my new found attention getting “condition” in order to solicit care.

          • October 27, 2015 at 9:29 pm

OMG I am a HUGE baby. When I had my first natural, the nurses are all like “your more capable than you think you are.” Translation: “You’re Fed and have no choice” lol

2 days recovery with an extraction sounds great! Likely tack 2-3 days with a reopen and implant socket I guess.

I mean they did all that when they did mine. Like they had to put it all in with the grafting material. You will probably have the pain from the cutting and pulling but the bone stuff shouldn’t be felt I don’t think. Though seriously tell you whole family how awful it will be to maximize attention and care. I personally like to make a sick bed right in the middle of everything so that no one forgets about me. Also make sure you take your pain meds at first. They work less the second you start to actually feel pain.

A few years ago I pulled out a cap with a Scooby gummi and didn’t have health insurance, so I had to wait 3 months to get approved and get an appointment. Then once I got a temporary replacement, I ate curry and turned it orange. Sigh.

Omg i would be so freaked out. Before I went to the peace corps I didn’t have dental so I had to go to a dental school to get my teeth cleaned and ok’d for my time in service. The cleaning took about a zillion years but I never had such a good job done… For free!
