Scentbird Subscription Review + Coupon – October 2015

Scentbird is a perfume/scent subscription that does not actually commission the services of various birds to spray you with bird scent throughout the day while singing about the powers of Spanx or the urgent need for all humans to learn Esperanto. No, Scentbird sends you one scent a month that you choose from their simply insane library of scents.

I say insane because there is just about every sent you could ask for (save for the scent of Cat Huff) that you can select. I simply had no idea that the choices were so varied!

To get you started you take a quiz to help narrow down suggestions to what you are likely to enjoy. This doesn’t mean you are stuck with their selection but it does help if you are looking for something new that fits your style.

Your first month you are sent a perfume dispenser and a vial of your chosen perfume. You can spray the vial without the dispenser but the dispenser makes it look cooler and help protect from accidents like spilling it in your purse. After that you can reuse the dispenser for the new vial they send.

They even have a section for men’s fragrance!

The Cost Is: $14.95 a month but less if you sign up for other longer options.

Use Coupon Code: ScentBoo15 for 15% your first month!

I was personally drawn to this subscription because I want to try out new scents but I don’t want them to be all Harvey Prince (looking at you Birchbox) and it fits me perfectly to have a generous vial so that I can try something for a long time at little cost. It really is the perfect way to try new scents and not commit!

Clean - Cashmere Vial
Clean – Cashmere Vial

Clean – Cashmere: I picked this because it seemed to vibe well with my scent profile and not be too heavy or fruity. I like Clean scents but for the fall I wanted to add a little edge to my scent so it says “I’m clean and fresh! Come hug me and buy me nice gifts!”

I really am happy with my choice and can’t help feeling like I should wear this at a ski lodge and just hang out by the fire reading a book in public. Because you aren’t really reading unless people see you do it. Also why smell good if there is no one to smell you?

Im getting the hugs but still am angling for all these nice gifts. Trust me, start early being good and the holiday season is yours!

Verdict: Scentbird is truly customizable and a real value for the money. You can try so many different scents and at a fraction of the cost. The vials are generous and in my opinion will last at least a month unless you are very aggressive in spritzing. It is so much more fun to try scents you WANT to try and are interested in. If you like it yay, if you don’t it’s not like you bought the whole bottle! In fact, a few months of this sub is cheaper than most perfume and you get to try different ones!

Thank you! I am sort of picky. I also don’t wear scents a lot because of my job. However, after work and on weekends I am trying to be a little more girly. I play it pretty safe on what I pick for my scent because of that fact. This would be a fun gift for that person who is always trying the newest thing.

I so rarely wear my perfumes – partly b/c everything else is scented: soaps, lotions, hair products, etc. but also b/c I’m super picky. I have a very strong sense of smell and I’ll be able to smell it ALL day even when just using the tiniest bit. But I think I might like that Cashmere… I skip perfume reviews on every blog except this one! Because every review on here is awesome!!

That is so sweet of you!!!!!!!

I totally feel you on the scent overload. I think some of my hair products count as perfume lol I do get pretty used to smells pretty fast though. I think it is a gift. Though you would probably be able to tell if the gas was on in the house.

Thanks again for reading the review. I had am having way more fun with this subscription then I thought possible!
