Yogi Surprise is a monthly subscription that celebrates the yoga lifestyle. They announced a one year anniversary box back in the middle of September. I decided to order it because I find the monthly box to be interesting and was curious about the one year anniversary box.
Subscription: Yogi Surprise One Year Anniversary Box – now sold out.
Cost: $49.95
What to Expect: Interesting products that were discovered throughout Yogi Surprise’s first year.
I posted the information card for our value conscious subscribers.
There is a good assortment of items in the box.
People Towel 2 Pack Personal Hand Towels: I received People Towels in my July Faithbox. People Towels are 100% organic cotton hand towels that you can carry with you to use in public restrooms to reduce paper waste. It’s also a great alternative if your hands do not like the hand blowers in public restrooms. They are quick drying.
People Towel Growing Up Green Print: People will give you a strange look when using the towels in a public restroom. They are also handy for spills.
People Towels For the Love of Earth Print: People Towels are an easy step to add to your routine. There is a cat print!
Now you can look fashionable and make a statement while drying your hands at work!
Chocolita Blueberry Lotus Raw White Chocolate: Yay for chocolate. Raw chocolate does have a different taste than other chocolates that most people in the USA are accustomed to eating.
I apologize for the glare. I had to shine two lamps onto the bookcase to take pictures. Using a flash tends to white out my photos when taking in this area. Check out the ingredient list to see how different it is from a typical chocolate bar.
I was pleasantly surprised to see more information on the inside part of the label.
I tried a tiny piece because the information card warns it is an aphrodisiac. Otherwise, I would not be finishing my post 🙂 It starts off as having a raw vegan chocolate taste. Then the chocolate bursts into flavor into your mouth. First it starts off with a blueberry flavor followed by an unidentified flavor that I am guessing is the blue lotus. The chocolate goes down smooth with a blue lotus aftertaste.
Finally the chocolate-tasting course is paying off!
Seva Amazon Rainforest Body Oil: I did not have an appreciation for body oil until subscription boxes. Now I love them. The Seva Amazon Rainforest Body Oil is a special edition of Balanced Guru Sooth Me Slowly Body Oil.
Balanced Guru has a product line specifically for Seva Amazon. 100% of the profits will go to saving the Yasusni National Park in Ecuador.
The scent is light and soothing. It’s perfect for a yoga lifestyle box.
Gypsy Soul Organics Mother Earth Grounding Portion: Gypsy Soul Organics was created by a Yogi teacher to assist her students in their yoga lifestyle. I am pleased to see this in an amber bottle because essential oils will degrade when exposed to light. I keep all my essential oil products in a pretty box or the closet. The blend is to help balance and relax you. I need that in my life! Cedarwood helps you focus and stabilizes your mood; orange rids you of your worries, and sage rids the negativity. I can mostly smell the cedarwood that reminds me of the forest and waterfalls.
I’ll be using the spray before my women’s group!
Tao of Tea Japanese Genmaicha Green Tea: The traditional Japanese tea consists of two ingredient – Organic Green Tea Leaves and Organic Toasted Rice. It is generally served with sushi. The taste profile is an earthy nutty aroma with a smooth, mild, savory taste. I was planning to take pictures of the unbrewed tea and found a second seal. I am giving this to my sister who appreciates a nutty taste. I decided not to break the seal.
It’s tea season. Bring on the tea!
Jane and Rocco Divine Line Tote: I am not a true Yogini and do not partake on the spiritual side of yoga. I can see the yoga tote being perfect for a Yogini. Yoga Journal has a great article explaining Namaste better than I can. The owner and designer of Jane and Rocco named the company after her grandparents.
I find the logo to be beautiful.
The statement is the company’s philosophy. The tote and its saying is a great addition for the one year anniversary box.
I give credit to Yogi Surprise. The tote is not overvalued.
House of Good Juju Yogi Surprise Anniversary Candle: The candle was the spoiler although I wasn’t aware of that when I purchased the one year anniversary box.
The owners thrive on good juju. A simplistic way to explain juju is energy. The candle is made out of 100% soy. I was unprepared for the inside of the candle.
The candle is to inspire peace, beauty, and balance. The essential oils used are sandalwood, vanilla, magnolia, lavender, and frankincense. The scent is soft, gentle floral scent. I did not pick up much of the sandalwood or vanilla. It’s hard to explain. The scent is there, but it’s not distracting. It’s part of the background.
I’m glad they included an explanation! They have different candles including a mercury retrograde candle. Everything seems more difficult when Mercury is in retrograde.
The candle is the real deal. It contains Rose Quartz and Lavender for peace, Amethyst and Chamomile for balance, and Amazonite and Hibiscus for Beauty.
Yes, I lit the candle and burned it for about three hours last night. It’s the most unusual candle I received in a subscription box.
Beautiful things are meant to be used!

Verdict: I purchased the box because I do see items that interest me in the Yogi Surprise Box. I will be using everything except for the tote. The tote will be perfect for a person who is deeper into the yoga lifestyle. The items are useful for different aspects of yoga.

Great review! That candle is mesmerizing! I love the chocolate portion the best of your review!
I have a question about the hand towel is it microfiber or something? What would a similar fabric be? I wonder whether it would be a good spit up towel for wee ones it looks very thin and compact.
This looks to be a very well thought out box thank you for sharing 🙂
Thank you! It’s a 100 organic cotton.
I love that candle!!
That candle is gorgeous! So glad you burned it!! Wonderful review.
Thank you! I was totally surprised when I opened the candle. It wins for unique candle of the year.I was a little bad sad to burn it because it was so beautiful.
Awesome review! I love the sexy chocolate and candle. I think the reusable paper towel is an awesome idea!
Ooer, this looks like a good box! I love the candle, Jane and Rocco tag, and the sexy chocolate sounds fabulous. Did you really take a chocolate tasting course? I’ll have to see if Groupon or the new community college course offerings has one! McBoyfriend and I really need to take a couples massage, and I definitely wouldn’t mind throwing in some chocolate and wine tasting courses!
