Yay it came!

The theme is this month is something I could probably live by more!

Foxy & Winston - Organic Kitchen Towel
Foxy & Winston – Organic Kitchen Towel

Foxy & Winston – Organic Kitchen Towel: there are four designs and I received one that basically made the whole box worth it, yes the porcupine! I love how it is understated quirky basically telling those who see it in my kitchen that yes I might cool you something quirky but it is unlikely to have any poison in it!

The brand is all hip and I want to buy more stuff from them. I want to plaster my kitchen with towels that make me look like I can pull off cute dishes made with organic ingredients! Sure what you will really find is some frozen food from Trader Joe’s but I’m at peace with that now…

You know a brand is hip and amazing when you visit their store and strongly taking up matchbox collecting as a new hobby…

Red Flower - Hand and Face Towelettes
Red Flower – Hand and Face Towelettes

Red Flower – Hand and Face Towelettes: I was reading around a bit on other blogs I stalk (they know about it so maybe it’s less weird?) and the Red Flower brand has some really big lovers and haters.

As an aside have you ever said sort of flippantly  said “I hate (insert item here like brown socks with black stripes or plastic spatulas)” and someone tells you “Hate is a strong word!” But when you say “I love (insert something like Sour Patch Kids Slurpies or Deep discounts on my favorite toilet paper)” no one ever makes a comment? But “love” is also a strong word? Just something I notice…

Anyway I am going to tuck these in my car for the inevitable moment I look in the rear view mirror and notice I have somehow rubbed my eye makeup all over my face.

Aren’t all face towelettes also hand ones because you use your hands to apply them?

Bee's Wrap - Sandwich Wrap (Clover Print)
Bee’s Wrap – Sandwich Wrap (Clover Print)

Bee’s Wrap – Sandwich Wrap (Clover Print): my current method of transporting my sammys around it to wrap them with a paper towel and hope that it doesn’t fail me. I am pretty sure I end up eating a few rolls of paper towels a year with this method, but it works out ok. This obviously is a huge step up from my current method.

Those who are sensitive to smells might want to give this a little hand wash before use. I personally am not turned off by the sweet smell. I do like that this can be reused for up to a year if washed with cool water and taken care of.

I also like how it ups my sandwich game. A sandwich just looks awesome all wrapped up in a pretty paper with a cool bee button! Plus I have bought other products from this brand and have been really happy with them.

Think of the money I’ll save on paper towels!

Goodie Girl Cookies - Quinoa Chocolate Chip
Goodie Girl Cookies – Quinoa Chocolate Chip

Goodie Girl Cookies – Quinoa Chocolate Chip: these are gluten free so I’m trying to save them for a family member who only eats gluten free stuff. I have heard that these are pretty good, and that those who don’t dig on my grains of choice are overjoyed at having a sweet yummy option to  eat! I just don’t usually go for GF items because gluten is my jam!

I once had a GF beer that tasted the way a dump smells. Yes I did finish it.

Kloverbox

Verdict: I noticed some complaints on forums and such the day we all received the box and had the opposite feelings. Some said the box was “light” and others said that they wished there was a lotion or a scrub. They have full right to their opinions but since this is my review I’ll share mine.

My initial reaction was joy when I opened my Kloverbox. I have a HUGE beauty stash and I would much rather have other goods right now. I think Kloverbox is staying true to their mission of helping subscribers replace their everyday goods with better more conscious alternatives.

The box felt light of weight but I personally see the value and I’m happy with it. Maybe because month after month Kloverbox brings one of the best subscriptions boxes to my door… Maybe I just dig on porcupines… Probably both.

Hmmmm… I did not realize that Red Flower was a hot topic. I like the brand and used to get it so I can reach the minimum for the spring Barneys GWP when they used to be the shizzle.

I wonder if the goats have a weighing scale?

I love the porcupine towel! I got the artichoke towel and while I do love artichokes I may have to purchase the porcupine one. I really liked this box. I appreciate that it had lifestyle items and not beauty (I get plenty of that in other boxes). I used my sandwich wrapper today and it worked great (I even had a coworker ask about it). I also ate the cookies and found them quite tasty. Kloverbox consistently delivers a thoughtfully curated box that introduces me to new brands.

I did notice that on the Foxy & Winston site you can purchase goat’s milk soap. I highly doubt that is a coincidence.

P.S. I splurged on the Net-A-Porter winter box. I promised myself one 100-150 holiday box purchase and decided on that one. I am weak.

I loved the artichoke as well!!! I agree, I personally love to bitch and moan about subscriptions because this is pretty much my thing. Kloverbox has been wowing me over and over. I love that they don’t throw a bunch of crap into a box!

I want to hear everything you think about the net box. Is the shampoo really worth it? Like how good is it for real? I have thin awful hair, I am dying to know if it is worth it!!!

I shall dutifully report back on the net box.

I think people need to follow Kloverbox’s recipe and chill out on the box. The last couple boxes have been high dollar. Kloverbox was stuck in an unfortunate spot of having a brand drop out at the last minute. I cannot imagine scrambling trying to find someone who can deliver x amount of units at the last minute. I have no idea how big Kloverbox is, but can you imagine the difficulty of finding 500-5000 replacement items at the last minute?

Personally, I am happy to see a lifestyle box. My sister LOVES those cookies. I will be giving them to her on Monday. I received the artichoke towel and love it!

Now, tell us the story about the fish.

Those fish are outside of an account of mine and while waiting for an appointment I worked on my review. The fish kept trying to see if I would feed them and also tell them all about the box.

I think it okay to not like a box. I did not like this one when I received it. Not because I thought was light but I am OCD regarding everything matching in my kitchen and my towel does not match. So I personally do not care for this month but I am sure I will love next months.

      That, I can understand 🙂
