What is ReadySet Box?
What is ReadySet Box?

J, my 7-year-old, wanted to know what is ReadySet Box. He was excited that it was a box that he could open and enjoy.

Snacks
Snacks

He was happy to see the snacks. His interpretation of the box was “readyset go” and run off with the box before his big brother saw the treats.

Lots of treats
Lots of treats

My thought was, “Where were you when I had to stay at work late working on a project.” I could picture myself sticking the box in a drawer at my desk at work. I could pull out a snack while others would be hungry and munch away. There’s even enough to share!

So many possibilities for this box.

All links to snacks are for multi-packs.

Nabisco Mini Oreos
Nabisco Mini Oreos

Nabisco Mini Oreo Cookies: I asked J if he wanted to do something fun with the min Oreos.

It’s all about having fun when you are seven.

Stacking Oreos
Stacking Oreos

I told him about Oreo stacking contests.  He decided to give it a try. He had reached eleven before the inevitable happened.

How many can you stack?

It collapsed!
It collapsed!

He took a few out before I took the picture. He wanted to show me how they were not whole cookies. He thought it was a lot of fun.

See, it is OK to play with your food.

Moving to better light.
Moving to better light.

That is why the Oreo bag is empty in this picture. It was a windy day. Of course, my neighbors were walking their dogs and hanging Christmas lights. Actually, they were watching me chase after candy wondering why I was taking pictures of snacks outdoors.

Doesn’t everyone have that neighbor who takes pictures of the candy outside?

Peddridge Farm Goldfish
Pepperidge Farm Goldfish

Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Snack: My little guy loves Pepperidge Farm Goldfish snacks. The goldfish snack is why he wanted to “readyset go” with the box. Despite my best efforts, they are his favorite traveling snack.

He has hidden this snack from his brother.

Peanut M&Ms
Peanut M&Ms

Peanut M&Ms: Confession time. I hate the smell of peanuts. Yuck, yuck, yuck. However, I have three people in my household who completely disagree with me. I am thinking of giving this to my husband along with the card from the November MyIrelandBox.

My husband is unaware of this box. Otherwise, the M&Ms would have been gone.

Sour Punch Straws
Sour Punch Apple Straws

Sour Punch Apple Straws: The boys can’t wait to try the candy. The sour, the better.

The faces on the wrapper are the same faces they make when eating sour candy.

Brach's Orchard Fruit Fruit Snackss
Brach’s Orchard Fruit Fruit Snacks

Brach’s Orchard Fruit Fruit Snacks: The Brach’s Fruit Snack is vending machine size. I still carry fruit snacks in my purse for J. It seems an empty tummy can strike any minute when shopping despite your best preparations.

Fruit Snacks – A must for my purse.

Warheads
Warheads Sour Chewy Cubes

Warheads Sour Chewy Cubes: My older son loves warheads. It clicked in the beauty of this box. It has a variety of items for all family member.

Something for everyone.

Fun Dip
Fun Dip

Wonka Fun Dip Cherry Yum Diddly Dip: We had a lot of fun with Fun Dips when I was a child.

I can’t believe I used to eat this.

Efrutti Mini Hamburger
Efrutti Mini Hamburger

Efrutti Mini Hamburger: The detail is amazing. It’s a fun little candy.

The boys will gobble it up.

Efrutti Sea Creatures
Efrutti Sea Creatures

Efrutti Sea Creatures: J would rather play with the sea creature. He doesn’t want to eat him.

Sea Creatures are safe with J.

T
Tootsie Roll Strawberry Frooties

Tootsie Roll Strawberry Frooties: I asked J to select his favorite from the box. The Tootsie Roll Strawberry Frooties are his favorite. He had eaten a few before I took the picture.

J was excited to see the candies. He only receives them at the 4th of July parade.

Verdict: For our value-conscious readers – Food boxes don’t have a high value. I feel that this box breaks even using convenience store/vending machine prices. It has recognizable USA brands along with a few that are fun such as the warheads and Efruttis.

The ReadySet Go Box is a fun box that either you or the whole family can enjoy. It’s an excellent way to provide variety without worrying about portion control. It comes in a sturdy box making it convenient to take in the car, keep in a drawer at work, or store up high away from little hands.

Ahh, I was just thinking about Frooties the other day! In college, my first RA loved them and I found a giant bag in grape, and once when she left her room open I hid them all over her room. She was so excited =) They’re super tasty, and I was trying to recall the name. Mmm, I also love the vanilla Tootsie Rolls. It’s really just a sort of taffy I suppose!

I love Peanut M&Ms! And Fun Dip! Except I wonder if I’d like it as much now as I did as a kid? Maybe, probably not. This box has a nice variety of well-known snacks and candy. J is adorable.

The sweetest thing in this wonderful post is J’s smile. Thank you Subbella, and I wonder if this sub box is sponsored by dentists.
