Petit Vour Subscription Review – December 2015

From what I can gather Petit Vour is run by two bunny rabbits who, sick with the cosmetics world being cruel to their kind, decided to start their own subscription box that promotes cruelty-free vegan beauty items. These same bunny rabbits hold out the hope that you will “Be Bold. Be Kind.”

These bunny rabbits will not confirm nor will they outright deny that the Easter Bunny actually hides colored treat filled eggs year round. I know better of course because I can read all the signs!

Ok, I made up the part of the bunny rabbits because life is more fun when filled with whimsy. Still, with or without savvy fluffy heroes I decided to sign up.

Cost: $15 a month

Kani Botanicals – Petal Polish Rose Face Mask: This is supposed to reveal perfectly nourished skin. I believe I have never had that, so it is a lofty goal indeed. While it is a foil packet it actually has a lot of product in it and (depending on the size of you face, I am not here to judge) you may be able to get a few uses out of this.

If brown sugar on my face will help fight winter skin, what benefits will I see eating it?

Petit Vour

Zabana Essentials – Glow Stick: I am a fan of this brand because while natural, the products I have tried have truly packed a punch. Anyway I love anything that will give my skin even the hope of looking luminous. I always imagine that if were a ghost I would appear super luminous and pretty while I spooked my former loved ones. This stick is going to last a long time, which is great because I am looking forward to glowing right on in to 2016….

Remember actual glow sticks?!? Totes makes me laugh!

Petit Vour

Blissoma – Deodorant: Another natural deodorant for me to try! I have become more and more impressed by natural deodorants lately. This stick is smaller than what I am used to, giving me the feeling that I have huge pits. Great, add that to the list of weird worries I have. I will just list it underneath the fact that one of my eyebrows is more arched than the other. Anyway, I will put this little gal to the sweat test and then report back on how many double unders I did and if I smelled gross.

Another deodorant where you have to wait “several hours” after shaving before using… I would consider growing my underarm hair for the winter but I used laser hair removal so… sigh…. (lasers don’t get rid over every single hair sigh)

Mai Couture – Blush Paper: I am super happy they have two colors for me to try because my skin tone is not normal. I often think it is a curse that someone put on my mothers children for when she maybe overturned a cart at a local market. +Hold on a second+ Ok, I just called my mom who adamantly denies any overturning of a cart at any local market but I am still not 100% convinced…

It is almost magic to use a sheet of paper to freshen your look!

Verdict: This was an interesting month over at the bunny den. I obviously get a lot of boxes so natural deodorant is something I don’t usually get juiced about. However, the blush is something new and fun for me, and I can’t help but get excited about a facial mask that may make my rough looking skin a bit less dull. The glow stick is a complete win because I can even use it on my legs to make them seem less bruised and more luxe. Yay!

Disclosure: I bought this box by giving them money, and carrots. There are referral codes in this post that once clicked and used will give me PV points which I don’t 100% understand.

Heh, I love it! I don’t understand blush paper though, what is that? I imagine you lick it and stick it to your cheeks, and walk around with rectangular blush squares and perhaps a glow stick necklace. Super classy!

There is a video online for how to use the blush papers. You just rub it on the apple of your cheeks and then upward. It worked really well and lasted all day. I got two packs of papers also, but one was a highlight. I will most definitely be purchasing this one! Having to wait two hours after shaving to apply deodorant doesn’t work for me, this one is going in my gym bag for after my lunchtime workout!

I have to resub to this box! I’ve tried several cruelty free subs and Petit Vour is one of my favs! They send a nice variety of products that I would have never thought to try otherwise and value you get for $15 is cray cray.

You earn 25 PV points for each sub box item you review each month (they send email reminders) and 20% in PV points for all shop purchases (excluding subs). 1500 points can be redeemed for $15 and 2500 points can be redeemed for $25 to spend in the shop. 🙂

I have natural deodorant overload, but the stick form is harder to come by. I haven’t tried that brand yet, but I have been extremely impressed with the ones I have tried so far and the fact that they actually work better than my trusty drug store deo that contains aluminum.

Lol, not sad at all! I only know because I was a subscriber for a while and I bought some items from the shop. 🙂 🙂

I am just thankful you were able to take the time to give me some education! I love the box and really should have an understanding of the points!

Even though I’m not super into the “all-natural” type products, I do like trying new things (I’m the only non-vegetarian I know who regularly eats faux meat products like Quorn chik’n nuggets). I just can bring myself to get some of the natural deodorant to try because I’m not sure it will keep me smelling pleasant with how badly I sweat around the barn and when riding. I can’t out-stink the horses!

    • December 23, 2015 at 12:36 pm

Ally I’m not vegetarian, but I do love a good veggie burger, and those Quorn nuggets are delicious!! Weirdly, I get asked often if I am a vegetarian, often without the person seeing what I eat. It must be my calm demeanor?? Hah, I don’t know. I also think Veggie Grill is one of the best restaurants. Mmm.

      • December 23, 2015 at 7:40 pm

I love veggie grill, but umm I am a veggie lol No one ever thinks I am one. weirdly…

    • December 23, 2015 at 7:40 pm

hahahhaa! I am not super into them either but more and more I have become a convert. I am a veggie but faux meat products aren’t my fav usually. They are however getting better!
