Roam Calender by 42 Pressed

When I opened up this calendar I felt very nervous. Things that are very delicate and multiple shades of off-white and cream scare me. Plus there are multiple pieces and directions…. sigh. Have I ever mentioned that reading directions is not one of my skills? It is why my husband hates playing games with me. He prefaces every game session with: as along as we are playing by the actual written rules……

But for the sake of the boxing world I maned up and read the directions!! Here is the result:

Um, yes all you had to do was take it out of the box and put it in the stand….. In my defense, it took them 10 steps to tell you that and those steps are in really small print…

Ok now that we are done talking about my neuroses, let us move on to the calendar. As you can see, it has a very minimal aesthetic (busting out a fancy art word because I can) that reminds me of Japanese rock gardens or one of my favorite artists of all time Isamu Noguchi. It is obviously meant to look like a beautiful piece of art and a calendar. Now, this piece immediately says ‘put me on a desk and transform your desk into a zen place to appreciate time’….. Which I love but this is the current state of my desk…

desk

So my desk is out as there is obviously nothing zen happening here….. hmmmm, now I have few few other spaces in my home that a small curious boy cannot reach. This is where it ended up…

window sill

I placed it next to the marble candle so it wouldn’t feel so lonely in it’s refinement….

Lillian Eve Polish in Under My Feet

This color doesn’t look to exciting in this picture but actually it is really pretty. It gives that uber cool girl effect of tattered clothes (from Free People, of course!) and messy buns and the ‘i couldn’t possibly have time to paint my nails’ but oh wait there is a slight color on them…

I styled this polish for you to show you how versatile it is:

I have had it on for about 5 days with good wear time and minimal chipping! Hooray for great non-toxic nail polish!

I opened the box and promptly put these on and then went about my glamorous life…….

And more…

I pretty much havn’t taken them off. They fit great. The snap closure is so cute and adds a rocker vibe to them. The colors go great with everything. I only wished they had included three! I cruised their website and they sell them in sets of three so I wish we had gotten a third because as we all know, ‘3, oh, it’s the magic number’! Also when you order some of their different styles you get the option to choose your wrist size.

um, not, that I have ordered more or anything…… ok actually I already did…this is what i got:

Survey Says:

I love this box. It is always full of stuff that is unique. There are no after thought cast off or off trend colors. Just cool stuff. I have read a lot of reviews that only point out that this box doesn’t have a crazy retail value tag attached to it but I personally happen to find the curation of this box to be outstanding so i think it is worth it!

I love the bracelets and the ones you ordered! Thank you for styling them and the polish. I always worry my nails will clash with the chips and salsa I’m about to dump down my shirt. Which is why I never wear white or creams! hehe love this review.

yes, white and cream are forever banned from my home simply because I can’t separate them for washing purposes. I know I want to write to aster market and tell them to start including a coupon for their vendors like a 15-20% off deal because I always end up buying more of the stuff they send!

I love your Boon bottle rack! Beautiful window view of paradise! I am also scared of light colors… you know from the crayons, pens, paints, markers, bodily fluids, food and drink from our blessings. Oh and stickers. But the calandar is lovely, love the nail polish color, and think its awesome that we are so styling at the home with our sub box jewelry!

I think Boon is a kid’s version of OXO. Nicely and practically made but in kid-friendly form!
