I purchased this from Groupon for 3 for $63, so I was quite happy each month at that price, and really for the $45/box price it’s pretty great!

They provide excellent curation, and I loved the shop items so much, I bought green [for Seahawks loving boyfriend] and purple [for Washington Huskies loving Secret Santa] Wigwam socks and inflatable towels for Christmas presents.

Bespoke Post: Swagger

This is the last of my 3 month Bespoke Post subscription. I was hoping for something really cool to come along, but I decided I just wanted socks because, in fact, I happen to think socks are really cool. My family also really likes giving fun socks in our stockings for Christmas. So, I got these for me and to share!

Just in case you’re new to wearing socks, there was a handy guide included! It explains how to match your socks to your outfit.

Here are the six pairs [numbered 1-6 from left to right]. I love the colors. The prices are approximate from the Etiquette site, as I believe these were all made for Bespoke Post.

Mercerized Cotton: $26/each, 2 pairs. Socks 5 and 6.

The grey went to my dad, and I’ll probably send him the burgundy as well. I don’t like the way they feel.

Combed Cotton: $24 each, 3 pairs. Socks 1, 2, and 4.

I kept 1 and 4, and gave 2 to my sister’s boyfriend as a stocking stuffer. I like all three patterns.

Cashmere: $44, 1 pair. Socks 3.

These went to my brother.

“Special cleaning” = throw in the washing machine on low in my house, but my brother’s wife is a laundry instructions fanatic, so he got these in his stocking =)

Here’s the first pair I wore so you can see the height. I wasn’t wild about them. They kept falling down, which defeated the purpose of me buying men’s socks, as I had hoped men’s socks would not fall down my robust calves as much as women’s socks.

The colors are really nice though, so I’ll give them another chance.

I did feel really hip wearing men’s thin striped socks with my men’s Vans. They’ll make nice sock puppets if they decide they don’t want to support my feet.

January Choices:

Bespoke Post chose the Alchemy box for me, but we have a full wet bar and have all of those items already. I would choose Steam for myself, but I think I’ll go for the Globe In Bathe box this month because they are also doing a Turkish/Pestemal towel and they support stuff. My mom got me two in pink for Christmas, and I wouldn’t mind another in not pink!

Verdict: Wow, a $148 value of socks! I was shocked when I saw the prices on these socks because I wasn’t wild about them. I actually picked this box for me, as I have large feet and women’s socks do not fit, but I realized it was close to Christmas and because my family always give socks as stocking stuffers I gave each male a pair [the females all got Muk Luks slipper socks].

My mom and I do want to get a sock subscription, so if you have any sock subs you recommend, let me know!

They really do. I mean I think the closest thing for women to Bespoke Post is maybe Popsugar, but even then it’s no match. Bespoke Post is a handful of quality items or just one, and I love that they give the power of choice! They did start a women’s section in the store, so I’m rooting for a women’s box 🙂

I have a problem with socks falling down as well. I am glad I you wrote this because I was also thinking about this box!

Do you think you’ll get it? SmartWool and Darn Tough are some of my favorite sock brands, and they put up a stiff competition. I just need to find something thin and quality for flats.

I think it depends on how big of a hit the final tally for christmas will be on my credit card. lol My cat has fancy tastes!!!

I usually buy over the calf socks because I too don’t like sagging socks. They tend to be less fashionable, but to me, fit is #1.

Sdbear, I think I should also get socks above my calves. Above my knees is just a bit too zesty and ankle socks just end up around my toes. Can someone please invent me some sock tape?

        Google sock holders!!

Or Google “Unisex Shirt Stays and Sock Garters”…they attach from your shirt tails to your socks! I wonder when the inventor of these gems will have their moment of greatness on Shark Tank.

Bahaha, believe it or not, I am actually not a man from the 1930s or a school marm. I barely like wearing pants, so sock stays or garters would be thrown across the room fo sho.

Also, with sock tape I just like the idea of people whispering if my calves are real, because maybe they look a little enhanced. How else would I get my socks to stay up so well? Clearly, I am using voodoo and/or have had some prosthetics…
