Glossybox Subscription Review – February 2016

Glossybox is a beauty subscription box that runs $21 a month or less if you decide you want to go in for a longer subscription. The box includes higher end brands as well as ones you can peep at Target. Usually most items are full size. I would admit that Glossybox is one of my favorite beauty subscriptions because they tend to send out some interesting skincare items.

I also have found that their customer service has been really good in my personal dealings with them. It might take a few days for them to get back to me but they have always resolved issues I have had. Like when I forgot to use a coupon code, or the time I thought I signed up but it did not go through.

The actual boxes they pack the items in are really nice. I find it so tough to throw them out, and this is not just because I am a sad hoarder who holds on to crap I really shouldn’t. If you like packaging they really bring it!

The box is cute and fits the month perfectly!

Info card lets you know what you need to know. Often with “tips.” Some of these are as obvious as “If you want to wash your face you will need to first have a face,” to actual tips you can use.

BioRepublic Skincare – Sheet Mask: I have tried these masks in various boxes and have found them to be pretty good at getting my dry skin to look a little less parched. I sorta love sheet masks because they are less messy than the regular wash off kind and they make me feel sorta on the cutting edge of beauty… I know I am not.

Also I love how Silence of the Lambs I look whilst wearing one! First it puts the Mask on its Skin…

Etre Belle Cosmetics – Golden Skin Roll-On Caviar Eye Gel: I love using rollers to apply product because it feels like a super tiny massage. I often leave one of these types of products near by bed so that I can put it on before I get my sleep on. Pullulan is the actual ingredient that provides a smoothing effect, and is found in a lot of nice eye creams. Though it is hardly new, it is safe so that is cool.

What if caviar came from hens?

Benefit Cosmetics – The Porefessional Face Primer: This is a small sample but I don’t really mind. I have had the chance to try this product out a few times and I like it. I just don’t ever take the time to apply it daily. You know what I mean? Most days, I am like, whatever dude I have pores deal with it. When I am trying to look nice for pictures or something then yeah I would be likely to plop this on my problem areas.

Do they have a bigger tube I can use for my life?

Teeez Cosmetics – Oasisi Gem Lipstick in Heat Wave Ruby: I am actually writing this during a heat wave here in San Diego. I love it when it is hot so I am a happy camper. I should really wear this today and then try to get people into conversations where I can slip in the fact that my lipstick actually fits in with the weather.

When they look at me like I’m strange it won’t be because I have lipstick on my teeth, just that I am weird.

Glamglow – THIRSTYCLEANSE Daily Hydrating Cleanser: I make no secret about how I hate to wash my face with soap. I am totally gross I know, but whatever I hate soap on my face. I use wipes and cleansing water usually and yes, from time to time my face could look more bright. I have dry skin so I might actually give this a whirl. I just feel bad because if I don’t like it then I wasted it. I usually give things away I don’t use and I like to give them away unused.

Glamglow is a brand for the stars… and subscription box mavens…

Verdict:  Glossybox provided a great value for $21 this month. Though it was less exciting as month’s past, I don’t buy the verdict that this wasn’t a good month. There are full size products that many people enjoy. Glamglow has a cult following that can only be described as very loyal. The Benefit sample is small but there were enough full sized products for me to feel good about this month. Plus I think the box is cute!

Sigh…this is my first month in a year and a half that I won’t have a Glossybox. I having minor withdrawals but at least I won’t have hoarding guilt. They do have really good customer service. Thanks for posting!

Don’t feel bad. I wish in many ways I could be free from my stash. people are even avoiding me in case I try to unload something on them. “What you dont want any bornzer????” lol Now having a blog it isn’t like I can walk away from my terrible addiction. But I am proud to have been unloading a ton of stuff. I just want it to be used!

That has to be the nearest lipstick I have seen. Love the packaging.

I LOVE it as well. The actual lipstick is a bit drying but I am prone to it. I love the color on me. I feel so fancy hahaha

Great Review. You should give the GlamGlow a try if you have dry skin. I have dry, hormonal skin that seems to hate everything right now. GlamGlow has been the only thing that it really, really likes. I even splurged on a full bottle of the daily Youth Mud cleanser. The one it the black bottle. But I’ve been using all the different samples I’ve received in boxes, and my skin loves them all. I just wished my skin liked stuff that is a little cheaper!

You have AWESOME skin so now I am side eyeing it all. I am going to go through and see if I gave all my glamglow stuff away. I will message you if I have any of your favorite mask and if I don’t and get it I will set it aside. I tried a sample of the one in black and it didn’t help my skin much. It is just superrrrrrrrrrr dry and so the sheet masks are the only things that help these days. My whole body is hormonal hahahaha
