I am always envious of the cool prints people get in boxes, and I’m slowly building my art collection, so I decided to sign up for an art subscription!

Before getting started, here’s the pricing and size guidelines so you know what sort of print to expect. I downsized to Small for January, at $22/month.

You do a survey to find out what your art tastes are upon signing up, then on the 15th of the month your art curator contacts you to let you pick between three options.

These were my three options:

Braaaaains, a sky and architecture, and a stressful red collage cacophony.

The art comes in a nice flat, stiff cardboard envelope. There was an artist bio and info about the size of my art.

Jade Goulding designed the print.

Cranium x-ray print by New Henry Design aka Jade Goulding: My piece is 8×10. The artist is an interior designer who does art. Her Instagram is filled with lovely pictures.

I like it, but in December we chose something similar so now my house is filled with heads.

SO MANY HEADS!!! I haven’t framed it yet. It’s sitting in between those books to the left with my gem print from Shoptiques.

I’ll just put this here as a reminder that your house needs more art =) Also, I hope those of you who’ve ordered something share what you got! Share it on Instagram or email us.

Verdict: I’m just meh about this piece. I let my boyfriend pick it, and neither of us liked the other options. We both like dictionaries and vintage anatomy images, but had we not gotten the Bedelgeuse print I might’ve appreciated this more!

I did email the founders to give a suggestion about improving the website because it’s pretty basic. I don’t like that quiz preferences aren’t visible, so you can’t go back and easily switch up your size or tastes each month. After seeing a print I want to be able to decide, “hey that would be awesome to have a giant/tiny print of!” It would be nice to also see on the site that someone used a referral code. Right now they just send an email to let you know that you got a refund. The reply I received mentioned they were working on improving the site and considering a like/love/dislike selection [like Wantable], so I look forward to the changes!

What do you think? Which piece would you have chosen?

Disclosure: This box was purchased by me. There is a referral code so we both get discounts!

Or they could give you a skip option if the prints didn’t speak to you. I think I would have picked the same one you did because I am not a fan of red art.

Hah I mentioned that too and it was suggested I could just gift art to people. I don’t have gift art to people money, so I’ll probably just cancel and then rejoin when I’m wanting another piece of art!
