Happy Caturday!! Let’s start with a cat video compilation of Bella playing with her new toy!!

Subista generally gets this box, and I’ve been eyeing it for awhile, so when they had a first box for $20 deal, I jumped on it! I got the Crazy Cat Lady Box, because I actually wanted some new toys for Bella.

Cat Lady Box June 2016

Here is the art / info card. I like this painting, and it reminds me of my sister’s old cat, Twee.

Twee on the couch

I miss this cat! My sister had to give her away because her boyfriend was very allergic.

Cat Lady Box June 2016 contents

Kitty contents!

Purring Buddha eucalyptus and lemon soap

Purring Buddha Artisan Soap in Paws and Reflect: $7.45
Kitty soap! I was supurr excited to see soap in a sub box finally, especially one with a kitty on it. This smells nice, but will get in line behind the awesome soap Mailbox Junkie gave me.

Purring Buddha Facecloth

Purring Buddha Facecloth

Goes nicely with the soap.

Cat butt pillowcases

Cat Butt Pillowcase Set: $29.99
These are cute and made me laugh because, like most cat owners, I often wake up to find my cat’s butt on my pillow. They sent out a reminder email that these had to be washed in cold water to prevent bleeding. I did so and put them on immediately.

The next day I noticed that my sleeping face had caused some ink bleeding. Throughout the week I watched it worsen. When I took it off it had dyed my pillow red. Sigh. These won’t be going back on my pillows. I think I might use it to practice my shibori dyeing.

satin cat sleep mask

Satin Cat Sleep Mask: $12.99
Very cute, but I have a big head and lots of hair so this doesn’t even begin to fit, and it’s not adjustable. I sent it to Pnut because I’m hoping her Squeaky McSqueakettes will use it!

cardboard scratcher and catnip

Scratcher Insert for CatLadyBox + Catnip: $9.99 for a three pack

Bella was very happy to get this! She loves rubbing her paws on things, so I set it by her litter box.

cat loofah

Multipet Loofa Cat Kicker: $6

Bella is a fan of this!! Just like the picture indicates, she hugs and kicks it.

Cat butt!

Verdict: I liked this box, but didn’t like all the contents if that makes sense. Sometimes I have to look at the overall contents and what other people might like, and I think this box was well chosen, despite my pillowcases being smeary. I actually also kinda like all the Cat Lady branded items. It’s nice getting brands you can research, but I also feel like they do a lot of planning and scheming for this box to find fun cat themed items! Bella loves her toys, so that’s a win. I’ll use the soap and practice my dyeing skills on the pillowcases.

I love the video of Bella with her new toy! That’s a shame about the pillowcases, but I like that it seems like they tried to stick to a bedtime (and wash up?) theme. I also like that all of the items are useful.

My cat is weird and isn’t a huge fan of cat nip and he doesn’t play with most of the toys I get him, but I keep eyeing the Cat Lady Box for myself. Lol

Thanks, LC! Wait till you see her July toy video! She was tearing into the box when I opened it… then she tried to take the tanktop from me because that also reeked of catnip!!! Haha.

I’m sorry to see your pillow cases bled like that. So far mine are still good but I use them more as decorative pillows instead of sleeping on pillows. I love my soap and that washcloth is actually really nice.

I just get the version for me and not the kitty toys those look like good toys. I don’t get the cat toys because the big dumb dog would eat them. Mr. Doo is 120 pounds of joy but if it fits in his mouth it goes in his mouth.

Hehe, Mr Doo sounds like fun =) Bella used to carry her toys around from room to room, but now they mostly just stay put unless we toss them for her.

I still have to wash the cloth, but I can always use more facecloths!

OMG I would totally love this box if I had a kitty furbaby! Thank you for the review and kitty pictures and video!

Thanks for the mask! I was just showing my Squeaks the video and re-read your post 🙂

The Squeaks approve everything you posted!

Yeah! I thought it was super cute but it super didn’t fit me. I almost cut eyeholes in it before I sent it to ya, but then I forgot.

That is sad your pillowcases smeared. Someone gave me the catbut pillowcases as a present. The farm kitties like to put their cat buts on the catbut pillowcases.
Your kitty is so adorable playing with her new toy.

Farmcat do your cats see things laying around and sleep on those? For example, my cat likes to lay on my bed, but if my purse is on my bed [no matter how lumpy or riveted], she prefers to sleep on that! Clean clothes on the bed = cat magnet.

The kitties love to sleep with anything that has my scent on it. And they love clean clothes! They love to open the drawers in the dresser and sleep in my clothes. And I have seen them pull out clothes out of the drawers and drag it to where they want to sleep. Maybe I should have not taught them to work together as unit.
