My thoughts on the actual box: I loved the bottom part of the box (which I incorporated with the product close-ups). I think the pebbled bottom part of the box was the closest thing to the box screaming “Endless Summer”. This box was emptied and filled up with some goodies for a college freshman as a care package.

I lifted up the top and here is the first look!

First up is…

Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Oil

Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Oil

I love sampling Living Proof but I don’t think my hair is in love with it for the most part. That totally does not stop me from trying the products! My hair does love Living Proof’s overnight mask so it does pay off to keep trying products from a brand usually does not work for your hair.

It’s because I dream of having Jennifer Aniston hair. And for the record, I LOVED the Rachel. Don’t get why she did not like the hairstyle it totally flattered her facial features. I digress.

This oil smelled like sunshine and although it did make my hair shine, it did not control the frizzies 100%.

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina

Another Stila lippy makes its was into a Birchbox. Fortunately, this shade is more realistic and not Barbie-esk as the last time Stila was featured in a Birchbox and subsequent mystery packs.

Instead of a kitty swatch, I decided on indulging you with a heart.

Because I heart my readers.

Here is a standard swatch. It’s a pretty bold swatch but it can be tamed.

Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow

Marcelle BB Cream Golden Glow

I already had received this product in a precious Birchbox and I love it. Please do not have the brown dotted swatch scare you off because it melts and applies very glowy and dewylike.

Because I want to be all dewylike.

Acure Coconut + Argan Oil Cleansing Towelettes

Acure Coconut + Argan Oil Cleansing Towelettes

Acure is such a darling subscription box brand! This towelettes are very refreshing and you will love them provided you like coconut oil! This is going into my purse as I will be swapping it out with another similar product that is bulky.

Pipsqueak loves PJ Masks and I keep thinking of one of the characters “Owlette” when I read towelette. Random I know.

Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle

Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle

Another item received in a previous Birchbox. I liked it but did not need a backup (I hardly flat-iron my hair these days) so I put it in the care package that I made from subscription box items.

Hum Nutrition Raw Beauty Green Superfood Powder

Hum Nutrition Raw Beauty Green Superfood Powder

Oh hum. That is what I feel about this sample. I am happy that it was chocolate and had a minty goodness that tingled.

Because I love the tingles.

Here is what a little bit of the powder looks like.

image

I had to turn the package over and read all the good things it had to force me to drink all of it.

image

And here is the powder mixed with 8 ounces of water. I tried 4 ounces but I could not take the drink down like a shot so I went with the recommended 8 ounces.

That is code for don’t buy it or spike it with some decadent caloric chocolate product of your choice.

Verdict:

I liked it. The Stila lippy was a reasonable color for me to keep it. I loved the Acure towelettes! The Marcelle BB Cream was a great find that I would have not discovered if it was not for Birchbox and I am glad I have another extra sample. The backup Beauty Protector box along with other subscription box goodies is going to a college freshman who would appreciate the care package. It was nice having something healthy ingested (versus something not exactly healthy), however, the chocolate and tingly mint flavors were its saving graces.

I wonder what next month brings.

Hopefully more chocolate in a less healthy form.

Hmm I was looking at the interesting names in the mint packet, and the ashwangandha was my favorite word! Plus, it helps relieve stress.

Heh. That reminds me of these small chocolate stress balls that Yuzen had in an LE box. The box was tiny so I just ate them all before reading “not to be used while nursing”. So I think I counteracted by eating more carbs and drinking water to dilute. The carbs probably calmed me down. That is probably why I love pasta. There should be a legal carb pill or something (I am pretty sure there isn’t an illegal carb pill). Turkey doesn’t do it for me. Did I digress somewhat?

You know who gets the best random BBs? Subista! She needs to let us in her profile deets. But that probably won’t stop me from getting the curated boxes lol.

I use the Beauty Protecter and Detangler when my hair has knots. It works great as a detangler for me. Love the heart.
