Sheet Masks

Bonvivant Botanical Mask Pack – Madecassoside and Mugwort: I had to look up madecassoside. Apparently it is a plant extract that has been used in medicine for thousands of years and is used in skincare for anti-aging, wound healing, and for repairing sun damage. I’ll take it.

Bonvivant Botanical Mask Pack – Adenosine and Acai Berry: This is the first of the new Bonvivant botanical masks that I could tell apart from all the others. It had a thick, creamy essence. Normally I prefer the thinner, waterier essences, but this was good. Nice for a dry skin day.

Etude House I Need You – Mugwort: Still a great mask.

Skinfood Beauty in a Food Mask – Propolis and Bee Venom: I’ve always wanted to try a skin product with bee venom. It just sounds so exciting. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this was just another sheet mask. I mean, it was nice, but I didn’t suddenly turn into a bee inspired superhero or anything.

Others

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream: I love these mini hand creams to keep in my bag. Unfortunately, this is my last one. I need L’Occitane to restart the L’Occi Box! That was a great one.

Scinic PreLab Toning Tap: So, if I peel off the applicator sponge and squeeze the product out directly, I can get two or three uses out of one of these. Score!

Belif the True Cream – Moisturizing Bomb: One face cream is much like the next to me.

Belif the True Cream – Aqua Bomb: But this one I loved! It was the perfect summer moisturizer: a light-weight cross between a cream and a gel. And not heavily scented either. I will definitely be getting this again. Actually, my real hope is that Sephora does the Soko to Tokyo kit again and then I will get ALL Belif samples.

Bella Pierre Precious 24K Gold Exfoliating Body Scrub: Another week, another $80 of gold washing down my shower. My replacement scrub was even leakier than the original, so I can’t give this a proper review. But I’m sure that if all the oil was in the scrub I would completely understand the price tag.

emptiesFlax 4 Life Muffins:

So I have eaten these almost every day for going on 3 years so I thought I would share. I find them in the frozen food aisle at Whole Foods and I am convinced that I keep them ordering them because I buy 4-(4 packs) at a time because now I have turned the 2 yr old onto them. They look so small and bran muffin-ish but they taste sooooooo good and they keep me full for 4-6 hours straight (plus 10 grams of fiber PER muffin!!!). Prior to the 2 yr old, chocolate chip was my favorite flavor but now that he eats them I opted for a less messy flavor.

Garden of Wisdom Blue Mallow Hyaluronic Acid Serum

So when Boxwalla first sent me this, I didn’t get it 100%. I applied it without a toner or any oil mixed in and it sat on my face oddly. However, about 6 weeks ago, I started trying it as Boxwalla recommended it (mixed with an oil) and holy cow. Mind Blown. Holy Grail. Will never be without, like ever. This stuff adds and holds moisture to my face like nothing else I have ever tried. Ah-mazing. The best part? It is sooooooo affordable!!!

Tiny Samples are from The Detox Market:

Mahalo Vitality Elixer-

I had been dreamed about owning this serum for months but would not spend. . . $100 bucks on it without trying it first. Yes, I know, that is hella expensive but it is an oil serum and so it could potentially last for 5-6 months. Ok so I finally found this place called the Detox Market that will sell you 5 samples for $10. I was beyond excited. EPIC FAIL! It smells of black cumin. Dayle, if you are reading….yep, same as the brow serum. But hey, I am $100 richer and I have stopped obsessing over the serum so hey, hooray!

Lotus Wei Inner Peace Serum-

I first heard of this company from Beauty Heroes collaboration with Modern Minerals and their lip glosses. The lip glosses are beyond heaven and so I wanted to try some more of their products. They offer their flower and gemstone essences in several forms such as sublingual, mists, serums and anointing oils. I thought this small sample would be a good way to try them to see if I like the serum but nope. It smelled like nothing which I suspect may be credit to the improper storage in this tiny vial. I did end of ordering the anointing oil roller ball and another gloss because the I am so intrigued by the smell of the glosses that BH sent us.

Thanks for reading. You know we love our opinions but we honestly love yours too so shoot me an email at mailboxjunkie808 at gmaildot com with your empties and opinions

Oooh… those muffins sound good. Do they have a lot of sugar?

Pity about the Mahalo serum. I was really curious about that one too. But hurrah for saving our wallets!

I can’t help but think of Harry Potter when I read about some of these masks! Mugwort, madecaasosides, adenosine? It is really cool to think people are using plants to make potions to make us look good!

Interesting on the smell for the Mahalo.

I am busy this afternoon getting my thoughts and trash together to turn in my homework for next week. I followed through and did a mask every night for over a week! I will be turning it in soon!

Happy Saturday Y’all. I am off to see Bad Moms!

It’s too bad the Lotus Wei serum wasn’t good. I had some joy juice from them and it smelled amazing. My sister in law loves massage oils though so I gave it to her after I got tired of the scent bc the jar was so huge!

haha I actually ended up ordering it even though you couldn’t get an idea for the smell from the sample. I need me some inner peace!
