Glossybox Subscription Review – September 2016

**Sorry for the late post** Let’s Celebrate October 1st by looking at the September Glossybox.

Subscription Box: Glossybox

Disclosure: BoxKraze pays for this subscription box, using money from her real-life job hehe. By clicking the link above, you will be selecting my referral link, by subscribing using my link I will earn points that go towards earning a free Glossybox.

Cost: Glossybox has different plans that you can choose from. Their monthly plan is $21, however, if you think Glossybox is for you, I recommend choosing one of their extended plans which makes each box more affordable. Glossybox 3 month plan is $58.50, 6 month $111 and 12 month $210. However, you can still get awesome deals by subscribing to their e-mails and taking advantage of sales which make boxes even more affordable. I subscribe to their yearly plan.

Why Glossybox? Glossybox prides themselves in delivering a great unboxing experience that includes deluxe-sized beauty products from a wide variety of brands.

Are you ready? Let’s see what the September Glossybox has in store…

Each Glossybox arrives packed in a black box, I think it is awesome because it adds extra protection.

fullsizerender-23

Wow! The September Glossybox is mesmerizing, I absolutely love it when I get special design glossies.

Lets take a look inside!

fullsizerender-24

Glossybox always arrives carefully wrapped which creates a wonderful unboxing experience.

fullsizerender-25

Glossybox provides you with an information card that features each item received in the box and tips on how to use the items.

fullsizerender-27

Glossybox always takes care of the details, which I love.

fullsizerender-28

Alright so these are the September items, the box felt lighter than usual and here is why………..

fullsizerender-29

Two of the five items are pencils (one shadow and one eyebrow), I received a cream, a mist and makeup remover.

Let’s take a look at each item…

fullsizerender-30

Korres – Twist Eyeshadow, Full Size $18

This Korres twist shadow is absolutely beautiful. I think the shade could not be more perfect for the beginning of fall. This is a smudge-free eye shadow that is made with natural ingredients that are good for your skin. I like the fact that glossybox always tries to include products that are good for you. Although the color of the shade received is not stated on the packaging or the info card, from looking at different websites it looks like this is the shade Golden Bronze.

fullsizerender-31

Lierac – Cleanser Micellar Water, Sample Size (1.7oz) $6 (Full Size $24)

Although my prefered method for makeup removal are wipes, I have to say that this makeup remover is actually very good. You can simply apply it to a cotton ball and wipe away makeup. According to the product card you can also use this micellar water on left over night makeup. The smell is very subtle so it makes a great product that leaves your face with that clean feeling.

fullsizerender-32

MonuSpa – RoseWood Reviving Mist, Sample Size (40ml) $6 (Full Size $27)

This MonuSpa Reviving Mist revitalizes your skin on the go. You simply close your eyes and spray it on your face to feel that cooling and refreshing sentation. The information card states that it can also be used to set makeup. When I sprayed it on it was very light, I smelled the rosewood right away and it did give my face a slight cooling sensation. It does not burn or itch, it simply does what its supposed to do. I will definitely add this item to my makeup bag!

Modellauncher-Brow Duo Pencil (in light brown), Full Size $12

I do not typically use eyebrow pencils because luckly I have what I consider full brows. After reading the info card, it does give you a tip of how to apply and use this product. According to the card you are to use feathery strokes to fill in areas where your brows may be sparse, then you use the brush to blend. I did swatch this on my hand and it does not go on smoothly it is a little bit difficult to get the color on in one full stroke so I can see why the recommendation to use feathery strokes. The color however I think is good for my brows so if I ever do feel adventurous enough to use it then it will definitely be a match.

eb5 Skincare – Daily Repair Eye Treatment, Full Size! $20

I was really excited to see this in the September Glossybox. I suffer from dark circles and puffy eyes so I am keeping my fingers crossed that this product will help the appearance of my dark circles. You apply this under your eyes daily and you let it do its magic. The cream has a sort of fluffly thick texture and it feels very refreshing when you put it under your eyes. This eye treatment is supossed to increse collagen and circulation. Right now I cannot say if it will live up to expectations as only time will tell.

fullsizerender-34

Verdict: I am really happy with my September Glossybox, I will defninitely use the products I received. I calculated the value of the box to be $50 not including the value of the two sample items received (Monuspa and Lierac). So for $21 a month this is a great box (if you do the yearly subscription the value vs. cost is slightly more as well).

What if there was a cream that would make your face smile in a convincing and friendly manner? I would buy that

@Subista did you get mostly what BozKraze got?
@BoxKraze the only thing we had in common was the brow pencil item. The mist sounds heavenly! I got the Korres lippy. And I forgot what else I need to go back but I didn’t get the old lady perfum mini that I wanted. Because I love mini perfumes (and I am not an old lady).
I cashed in my Glossypoints for a second September box but I probably am going to get it mid-late October because Glossy. I choose September mostly for the box itself its so pretty. I need to figure out how I can artfully modgepodge out the lady in the front but otherwise an amazing set of boxes to add to my box collection.

A new Mice water to add to my list! I love Mice water.

I love Glossy’s boxes more than any other – but the products inside… meh. I wish I could pay $2-$3 for just the empty boxes!! 🙂

Lolol too funny, I really love my glossyboxes. I thin glossybox uses a lot of products that are outside the US and not very well known to consumers but i maybw wrong.
