I divided the veggies in three parts. I froze two and made chicken soup with the remaining. I used Swanson Chicken Broth and Generic Egg Noodles.

Mmmmmm… Generic Egg Noodles.

Digressing from my dinner,  here is my box!

Ohhh a bag!

Here is an nommy Imperfect Recipe below:

This was probably focused on Onderria’s shipment because she was able to get legal shrooms this week. I is jelly.

Instead of this week’s food display I give you my squeakers nomming on broccoli!

I convinced Pipsqueak to have a bit even though it was not nighttime. Pipsqueak has this thing about eating raw broccoli at night. Better than ice cream but I won’t tell her that!

Here is Onderria’s order and picts for this week:

Onderria: wow, I got a text right before this was arriving!

Wth… how many carrots did I request?!

Onderria: I was HIGHLY skeptical of these mushrooms. The only time I’ve seen something similar was in my garden last week before the rainy spell gave up.

Also I’d JUST weeded the night before and these giant mushrooms appeared.

When life gives you mushrooms and what you think are rutabagas, makechicken marsala with spiralized rutabagas.

Sidenote 1: I called my mom to ask what the heck the giant purple white root plants were and she said they were “rooterbaggers.”

Sidenote 2: these were not rutabagas, but turnips instead… They got soggy and burnt, not dry and crispy.

This meal was not great, but I did have some guy try to talk to me about wines in Trader Joe’s.

Look buddy, I’m just here for the $4.99 marsala wine.

Onderria: omg dudes, let me tell you about my meal! SO GOOD. McFiance loves the broccoli cheddar soup from Panera, and since I had Imperfect broccoli, carrots, and an onion, I decided to make some bomb soup.

Bella demands to sniff all my food from her stool/perch. I assume she thinks she’s my royal poison sniffer.

VERDICT:

Pnut: Oh my goodness I am so jelly of Onderria! First, she gets the shrooms. Second, her area gets the text message notification! The Imperfect carrots are indeed nommy they are the only type/brand that my squeakers will eat with the skin on. I am excited that she was able to join and co-post 🙂 I am also curious to of what was that purple item in her box, it looks like a nommy carrot….

Onderria: So glad Pnut introduced me to this box! There was absolutely nothing wrong with any of the produce, and I had a lot of fun finding recipes this week! My sister also gets it, and she said the plethora of carrots were really nice for her intense heartburn, during her whole pregnancy, as a break from white rice and crackers.
