Linen Crate Review – July 2015 Bathroom Box

Disclosure: This box was paid for by me. There are no affiliate links in this post

I’ve been procrastinating on this review because I can’t find a way to make it funny or provide pictures of the items in my bathroom. My bathroom is small and not conducive to photography sessions. I do like the items I received and wished I went a lot less conservative in my choices. I was concern about receiving red and orange polka dot towels! This is what happens when you are among the first to try out a subscription box. You never know what you will receive. Everyone has been waiting patiently for the review so here it is, warts and all. It’s not my best writing or pictures.

Subscription: Linen Crate

Cost:  I think it is best to let Linen Crate explain this.

“IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT”: The introductory rate of $75 per month and 50% Off coupon will only be limited to the next 100 subscribers. The current and the new 100 subscribers will have a lock on subscription price even after we adjust our plan to a higher price which will include high quality home linens. Take advantage before the introductory rate is gone. The new price will be determined and we will let all of our clients know of the change beforehand.”

Click here NOW before the coupon runs out. It’s still available!!!

What to Expect: Click here to see examples of what to expect on Linen Crate’s website.  Linen Crate features one room a month and accessorizes it.  A profile is created when you first sign up. An email is sent out confirming your choices for the month prior to shipping.

***Anyone who knows me will wonder why did I select Modern Contemporary Style with a Modern Vintage (neutrals) palette. This is the first month of a new box. I picked a very conservative palette because I was unsure what I will be receiving. Also, this is the July box and does not have the August bathroom spoilers.  Click here for  August bathroom spoilers.***

New Readers: We try to be light-hearted and fun in our reviews.

I’m still learning! I opened the shower curtain before taking pictures. I should had turn the towels to make for a better picture. No red and orange polka dot towels. Bolder choices for me next time.

July’s the month of neutral decor!

Towel Rack
Towel Rack

Linen Crate made a few changes based on the feedback given on the MSA blog. I received 2 hand towels and 2 bath towels. I also received one bath mat. They are hotel white. My boys think we are now running a hotel and expect room service.

Why did I select neutrals when I have boys?

The Brand
The Brand

I have not heard of this brand before. The  August bathroom spoilers show a brand carried by Kohls.  100 % cotton bath towels are soft and long enough to wrap around me with room to spare. The bath towels are 30″ x54″.

I took a picture of the hand towel information for those that want to see it.

Towels are something that subscription box addicts take seriously.

RJ Designer Collection is an online store based in Pakistan. I did find RJ Designer Collection on the C21 website.

We need these items to go with the many lotions that we own.

I could not find any information on the shower liner.

Shower Curtain
Shower Curtain

I tried many times to take a decent picture of the shower curtain. I love it although it may be too dark for a small bathroom. The only thing I can tell you about the curtain is that it is made out of 100% polyester.

My bathroom is old school. No glass door for me!

Ducky Curtain

Our ducky curtain needs to be replaced although the boys are not ready.

Don’t mess with our duckies!

Matching toilet rug and bathroom rug by RJ Designs: This is not the bathroom floor. I go through too many of these because of my children. We live in an older house with fussy plumbing.

Now my succulent feet will be warm in the winter!

Verdict: Linen Crate has been responsive to feedback on MSA and made changes. The quality represented here may not be indicative of future quality. I will keep it another month to see what happens.

What do you think of Linen Crate? Do you like the style and palette I selected? Do you think the toilet seat cover should had been included? Share your thoughts and whatever else is on your mind below.

First this is a great review! I laughed and I also felt your pain because all white is not your style.

LOL my bathroom is pretty big and it is NOT a place I would be able to take pictures! There are products everywhere and the kitty has her *ahem* private area… I would DIE if I had to show anyone right now. Though I am proud that I get her the premium walnut litter…

I think first boxes are always a little bit off. They have to find there groove. I think the crate could provide a really good value. I know even getting towels at target for me when I moved to SD was pretty spendy. I wanted them all to match for once since everything I owned was from college!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the kitchen spoiler for Aug. It is pretty cool and rustic. I won’t say here unless people don’t want to read the spoiler.

I like how you explain our blog to people who are new. I always fear that people think I am 100% serious on 100% of what I write.

Ohhhh and I would not be able to write this post very well either because anything to do with a bathroom is going to bring out my immaturity…

PS: IF you were running a hotel, what would the name be? Would you have room service? Would ever write creepy things into your own guest book and watch as guest read it? (I would)

The ducky shower is the best thing ever. Thanks for review.
