Yarok Unboxing

I placed an order for 2 Yarok products from the GoodeBox Shop. I placed it with Goodebox to earn points with their reward system instead of with Yarok that would have given me free samples with my order. I earned enough points from previous purchases to use a $5.00 coupon towards my order.

Here’s the first look at my Yarok order.

Yarok Feed Your Moisture Shampoo
Yarok Feed Your Moisture Shampoo

Yarok Feed Your Moisture Shampoo: I first tried the shampoo in the Goodebox LE Breast Cancer Fund. My hair loves it; I hate using it. My curls love this shampoo made out of organic African Black Soap, Argan, coconut oil, and hemp oil. It’s perfect for curly/color treated hair!

Expiration Date
Expiration Date

I noticed that expiration dates are a topic of concern lately. Yarok includes a used-by date on the bottom of the paraben free, sulfate free shampoo. The only problem I have with the shampoo is that it is a low sudsing shampoo. I section my hair and massage the shampoo into each part. I rinse well, use conditioner, and have amazing hair. It does take me longer when I use this shampoo which is why I used it once a week last time.

Yarok Feed Your Curls Defining Creme

Yarok Feed Your Curls Defining Creme: I received a couple sample packs of the creme in my August Goodebox. It worked well with my curls. The creme has a light barely citrus scent to it from the orange and ylang-ylang essential oils.

I will be using both products in my hair tomorrow. I need great curls for the wedding we are attending in the afternoon!

Verdict: Yarok is expensive. The products make my hair look amazing without any extra effort. My hair says deal with it and buy those products!

My best for a wonderful wedding. Neither my hair nor I like Yarok.

Does this mean you decided not to straighten your hair for the wedding? Did you try the straightening iron and it didn’t work out or did you decide it wasn’t worth it to try? Just curious.
I’ve never tried Yarok but I usually straighten my waves/curls – although I think I’m going to start trying curly a little more often. What type of curls do you have? I keep looking at websites and trying to figure mine out… I think I’m mostly 3a with some 2b? I think that makes a big difference in which products works for people.

Most days my hair is a combo of 2C with a little 2b. It looks more like 3a when I use the right products. I agree that it makes a difference in what types of products work in your hair.

I did not try out the straightening iron mainly because of my arthritis. The movement bothers my shoulder and back. It rained heavily today, anyways. My hair curls back up in the rain.

My mom is the same with rain too sorry about the pain :/

Have you tried Klorane shampoo with Mango butter or something sounding like that? I got a sample via BB and I think it may be worthy of purchasing a full size. Wanted your input I think the products you use agree with my hair as well.

Ahhh. Never mind I thought it was sulfate free until now. That is why I liked it so much. Thinking I might not find a sulfate free shampoo that I love :/

My sister’s curls are a solid 3B. She loves the Klorane brand. I give her all my products. I didn’t know Klorane has SLS in it. I thought it was sulfate-free. Stuff like that does not matter to my sister.
