The Saturday Weekly Review of Empties and Favorites

Aloha!
Sub Bella decided she needed more time to adore and photograph her kitties so I have taken over this weekly post!

I am super excited to get to know everyone and get to revealing and reviewing our weekly trash. Since I live in the HST (Hawaii Standard Time) Zone, I will post this on Friday night my time so hopefully you can all see it on Saturday and not Sunday!

So I am going to mix it up a bit and throw in some reviews of stuff I am using/obsessing over that week because often times I forget to save my trash or I just don’t go through stuff very fast because I forget to use it…. hehe

mask 1st up:
EMPTY!: BioRepublic Fiber Mask in Aloe Rescue from November Birchbox
I really wanted to post a mask shot and hopefully some day I will but right now I just find them to disturbing to look at even when I am the one wearing it!
This mask for me was, meh. The directions do say for best results use these 3 times a week so that might help me see results.

I might just be a skincare lost cause with all the sun exposure!

ALMOST EMPTY: Kimberly Parry Sweet Orange and Cranberry Scrub from Winter Yuzen box
Hello amazing! This stuff smells so so good with cranberry seeds and orange peel inside! I want to try everything she makes but some of her products are super pricey!

Hear that Subscription Box Makers? More Kimberly Parry Please!

WORKING ON IT: Marula Oil From Rachel Zoe Winter Box of Style
Smells oh so good! Plus it is lightweight with no greasy after-feel (no that is not a word but it should be)

Hair oil and salt spray are my only attempts at hair styling. Yes, you can call me hair lazy.

facewipesPUT TO THE TEST: Honest Beauty Makeup Remover Wipes from RZ Winter Box of Style
This was a full face of makeup for me this week which included IT Foundation and Smashbox Mascara. These babies are really effective and smell delightful!

FYI do not get near your lips because even though they are effective they do not taste good.

satem121915Sub-Bella’s Weekly Empties:
Harvey Prince Body Cream
Tatcha looking sample
Hamadi Shea Spray
B Witching Bath Liquid Soap

What was the Tatcha Sample??

And now, You may find it hard to believe that these lovely ladies have let me in to their club despite the fact that I do not own a cat. I know! But I do have a cat-sized dog and lots of yard lizards. So here is one of my daily encounters:

20151218_153816-1 copy

This is a Madagascar Gecko! This one lives outside the house but I have a few that live inside as well. I will work on getting pics of the house geckos. The ones that live inside the house have names. They are very very useful in eating any bugs around the house!

Thanks or Mahalo for reading!
I would love to see your empties or weekly obsessions so email me at: mailboxjunkie808 at gmail  dot com and I will include them next week!

Aloha, Mailbox Junkie! You did an amazing job with the post. I’m up late because I’m a mom of a teenager with a social life. The Gecko is beautiful. I loved the scrub. The mask is the Tatcha Hydrating Mask. I remember a certain Spa Hero post with a beauty mask shot 🙂 I almost bought the box because of your review.

Today I learned not to rinse the soap bottle out until after taking a picture. We are asked to rinse out our recyclables.

It’s 28 degrees and snowing at 1 am in my little area. What is it like in Hawaii?

Haha yes that is true about the mask shot but it was a paste mask. For some reason the sheet masks are what scare me!
I am glad my son isn’t old enough to have a social life yet!

Great post! I actually finally have some empties to send pics of =D I agree with Heat–that gecko is so pretty it looks fake! I can also send you a picture of cat hair so you can leave copies of it strewn about your house and taped to your clothes to make it feel like you’re a real cat lady.

The cat hair will be like empathy training! Although my little dog does her fair share of leaving hair around. I am going to try to get some of the other lizards we have too because they are so interesting! Its like a mini jurassic park in my yard!

They’re like Vasant face scrub! No matter how much I think I’m clamping my lips down, I still end up with crunchy exfoliater bits in my teeth.

Aloha! I love your post and pictures! The gecko looks very lovely I have never seen a gecko like that before. I have a gecko story to tell when I was in Hilo but I need some kind of opening to digress on it but I am sure the opportunity will come up!

I also, am without cat hair. That did not sound right? Although I have an aquarium bought on Amazon save and subscribed that filled with water for the past week and a half waiting for some life form so that must mean something?

They now have wipes that taste nice I think they are flavored with Stevia. Meant for wee ones, I strongly feel they should be marketed also to the make up removers peeps like us. Mahalo.
