EVERPRO BACK2BLONDE Root Spray Review – August 2016

EVERPRO® has just launched a product for those of us who are blonde, but also get roots. Yeah, bottle blondes mostly. It’s ok I won’t tell anyone anything that roots don’t already tell. I promise!

BACK2BLONDE acts as a temporary root touch up with just a few sprays. I find that I have roots in between touch ups because if I always dyed them as they grew all my hair would fall out! My hair needs to rest but I do hate unseemly roots showing the world that I’m not naturally “having more fun.”

Cost: $12.99 ($10.99 at Target)

Shades: 3 (Dark Blonde, Medium Blonde, and Light Blonde)

I have tried products like these in the past to disastrous results so I couldn’t help but try things out with a mild fear that my fur would end up a rats nest of sticky color and deep regret. The brands use of so many capital letter made my fear grow… Why are they yelling at me? What am I not hearing? All these things swirled in my mind as I agreed to test the product out and share my experience with you.

What they say:

Shake the bottle …. And spray away the shame… How to do it can be found here for those who want to see blondes have fun and cover their roots:

My Results: As you can see at some point I sprayed it on my forehead! Whoops! I think I could have gone with the medium blonde to get an even better match but I am surprised with how well this worked!

I waited for it to dry before I brushed it in a little bit more and it make it much more believable. I could see myself totally using this for times where I REALLY need to touch up my roots (yeah it feels like always) but don’t have the time to either dye it or I don’t want to dye my hair too soon.

Verdict: This is super easy to use and if you don’t spray it all over your forehead like I did then you are likely to be happy! I think I could have gone with a medium blonde and will be buying that next to see if the match is even better. The trick with the product it to spray and then wait for it to dry. Then lightly brush and blend. The root paint totally wiped off of my forehead so don’t worry, I didn’t try the gold look! Yet…

Disclosure: no affiliate links in this post! I was given this product in exchange of providing my honest review. Trust me, it’ll take more than a root touch up sprayed buy me off… For that I’m gonna need cat fur!

How long does it last? Does it wash out? Sounds like the answer to my dream of being the girl dipped in gold ala Goldfinger

This takes me back to the late night infomercials with Ron Popeil and the GLH spray guys used to paint, I mean cover up, their bald spots.
The RootSpray seems like a good bandaid when you need a couple more weeks before dyeing your hair.
