Disclosure: There are no affiliate/referral links in this post. I used a discount code to purchase this box and paid for it with my own money.
I’ve been following Kids Prize Pack back when they first started to raise money for their subscription. I did not purchase Kids Prize Pack’s first box much to my younger son’s regret. I did purchase a subscription on October 23rd and was pleasantly surprised to see a shipping confirmation the same day. The box arrived yesterday via 2-day priority mail. J opened the box yesterday for me and is eager for me to do the review so he can have the items.
Subscription: Kids Prize Pack
Cost: $25.00 plus $7.00 shipping. There are 4 different subscriptions. Boys 4-8, Boys 9-12, Girls 4-8, Girls 9-12
What to Expect: Here is the description for J’s box, Boys 4-8.”From the Crazy and Wild to the Quiet and Curious, every growing boy will Love this Kids Prize Pack. We include early Level 1-3 readers as well as the occasional small chapter book. Every Book, Toy and Game is Age appropriate and of the Highest Quality!”

Notes: We all hate paying for shipping. The shipping costs are similar to the geek/gamer boxes.
This review is for Boys 4-8.
Here’s the first look of the box. It arrived about a half hour before the contractor came to look at the steps. We quickly took photos.
Zelda rushed over to check the box.
I won’t post as many box pictures in November. The box is huge!
Zelda wants to be in the pictures. She decided to pick a sunny spot, and watch J open the box.
Kids Prize Pack had lots of items in the box. J was excited! I was thinking, “Oh no, the contractor is coming soon.”
Nerf Zombie Strike Z-BombZ: J tested them out and is happy that they do fly fast and far. He has plans to use them as an attack on his older brother.
Sick Bricks Double Character Pack: I think J received a pack before in Nerd Block Junior. He received Harry Fangface and Rotten Walker. You can mix and match the figures and then scan them into the game using your phone. They battle the bad guys and win, The game is available on Apple and Google Play.
The Ugglys Pet Shop! Series 1 Blind Item: J received the Horrid Hamster. He thought it was OK. He was more excited about the uggly pet when he thought it was a cat.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Half-Shell Heroes Snakeweed and Spider Bytez: J is very excited about this item. Snakeweed and Spider Bytez have already gone to battle. I heard their backstory a couple times yesterday. It was a big hit for him!
Fly Guy and the Frankenfly: Here’s the heart of Kids Prize Pack. The idea is that if they have fun with the toys they will want to read books with the same theme. I watched Kids Prize Pack develop their subscription box and believe that they put time and research into this concept. The book has great illustrations allowing for further discussion and questions. It’s simply written for the beginning reader. The illustrations invoke the imagination allowing the child to add more details to the story. We will reading the book tonight.
Ready, Freddy! Help! A Vampire’s Coming! The second book is a short chapter book with fewer illustrations. It seems to be a well-known book with various activities, quizzes, and reading comprehension questions available on the internet. We will reading the book this week!
Faber-Castell Doodling Pad: I am impressed. Faber-Castell is a good brand.
Faber-Castell 12 Grip Erasable Crayons: The crayons are not $0.99 crayons.
J is not a big craft person. I am going to make have him decorate a few pieces of papers and show him how to make great paper airplanes. I’m great at making paper airplanes that go far, curve, and fly upside-down.
I am glad that they did not cheap out on the pad and crayons. The brand fits in with the rest of the box.
The local school district had an in-service day. I took a bunch of teens to see Maze Runner 2 while J and I watched Hotel Transylvania 2. He saw a preview for Goosebumps and feels it might be too scary for him. There is a short comic that is printed on both sides, referral cards, the Goosebumps bookmarker, and the themed magnet.
It’s the box that never ends! We received a variety of tree hugger gum.
October’s theme is Monsters + Ghouls. The theme is on a magnet that is perfect to use to hang the doodling pad artwork on the fridge.
I took this picture as the contractor showed up to give us an estimate on the stairs. The October box is packed with great items that J enjoys!
Verdict: I am impressed with Kids Prize Pack. The items are toys that my son enjoys. The books interest him. Everything arrived in excellent condition. I would not hesitate to send this subscription as a gift. The value is over the price of the box. It was nicely curated around the theme.

That is a well rounded box! Reminds me of Cirus Lane with a touch of a candy, blind, and loot kids theme box.
That’s an interesting perspective! My son was too old for Citrus Lane although they look fun! The first box had Legos!
Wow, I was scrolling for days! That box is pretty awesome. I remember the little boys in some of my classes liking the Fly Guy books, and I love the idea of centering toys around books. I may have to see what they offer for the little girls’ box.
I wonder if that is how people feel when looking at some of my posts. The pictures go on and on and on. I can say it is worth the money.
This box is awesome! Definitely looks worth the money. I love reading and so I love the idea of anything that helps other people love to read. I also love gum and want to try that kind now…
Oh, I almost forgot – I want to take Sub Bella’s class on how to make paper airplanes!! I’ve never been any good at it. What a cool mom.
