Birchbox Subscription Review – November 2015

Birchbox cost’s $10 a month but if you review your items then you get a credit of 10 points for each one which is $1 to use in the store. Points can only be spent in increments of $10. Which take no time to get. They have the best point system out of any box I have tried!

Birchbox is the “Gateway” box that will lead you down a road I have yet to make my way back from. Perhaps  in that forest of boxes you and I will meet and discuss bronzer while spraying various products all over our hair. The murmurs around us will lead us to our next “Holy Grail” beauty item…

The box is super cute this month!

Ayres - Body Polish (Pampas Sunrise)
Ayres – Body Polish (Pampas Sunrise)

Ayres – Body Polish (Pampas Sunrise): I love scrubs! I think it’s Sub Bella’s fault which sounds a lot more of a sorted tale than it is. You see, she has been heading a little movement on the blog whether she knows it or not. The movement? To use what we get in our boxes! Which has prompted me to try all my scrubs. This little one will be perfect to take when I visit family.

I think my carry on toiletries make everyone jealous and that is why TSA always wants to paw thru them.

Davines - This Is A Relaxing Moisturizing Fluid
Davines – This Is A Relaxing Moisturizing Fluid

Davines – This Is A Relaxing Moisturizing Fluid: I’m always up for putting stuff in my hair in the hopes it’ll help my dyed straw like hair. I have been happy with other products from this brand and will report back if it is life changing.

Made in Parma Italy! I wish they sent me some food as well!

Dr Jart+ - Water Replenishment Mask
Dr Jart+ – Water Replenishment Mask

Dr Jart+ – Water Replenishment Mask: Yay for a face mask! Bigger yay for this being hydrating. I wish my skin went so dry. I want it plump and dewy. What I have is cracked and flakey. Having dry skin was alright in my youth because I never had acne. Now I’m just aging faster than everyone else. Phew! Feels good to just complain about it!

These masks always remind me of Silence of the Lambs… First we puts the mask on its skin…

LOC - One & Done Shadow Stick (On Point)
LOC – One & Done Shadow Stick (On Point)

LOC – One & Done Shadow Stick (On Point): I bought the entire collection when it first came out and promptly lost a lipstick. This is my favorite shade in the collection. It glides on easily and for me has awesome staying power. I use it as a lid base and then use a crease shadow to add color. I understand not everyone is loving the formula but I really do. The lighter colors are by far the easiest to put on…

I think the name works for this color!

theBalm - FratBoy
theBalm – FratBoy
theBalm - FratBoy Inside
theBalm – FratBoy Inside

theBalm – FratBoy: I sometimes really dig theBalm’s packaging and other times I find it a little asinine. This is a small sample but it will be enough to try it out for awhile unless you are going for that Tammy Faye look…

How bad do I want this chicks hairstyle!

Verdict: great value this month for me! I am going to have fun trying all the products and I’m going to get a ton of use out of the shadow stick. It is always a luck of the draw situation with this box but I usually feel my money was well spent!

Disclosure: this box was paid for by me. There are refferal codes in this post!

Silence of the Lambs is one of my favorite movies ever! Awesome reference.

Any Birchbox with a scrub and a mask is a win!

LOL that movie and Robocop will never be forgotten to me. I dunno what it is… Yeah the birchbox this month was kick butt (at least for me!)

Wow, what a good, varied box! Also my gateway drug… er… box. I stopped subscribing because my sister kept getting really cool stuff and I kept getting beige eyeshadows, weird colored eyeliners, and hair products for straight hair. I may have to resub at some point because they just keep evolving and getting better! I am glad to see they threw in a face mask–I was hoping for more things like that or mini soap bar samples, instead of so much makeup and face creams.
