Kloverbox Review February 2015

Kloverbox (www.kloverbox.com) is a subscription that strives to send customers eco-friendly products that will slowly replace the ones in your home who are plotting to kill you. Those furtive whispers in the night are not your imagination!

There are different plans that span $25 month to month to $22.50 a month for 6 month subscriptions.

Inside of Box!
Inside of Box!

The outside of the box is really plain and I think it is deliberate so that those killer products I was warning you about don’t know that they are about to get ousted. Inside there was a sticker that said thank you and my name! I like the little bit of personalization when so many other boxes make me feel like I’m apart of the slovenly masses.

When I opened the box it smelled so good!

Detailed List of Products
Detailed List of Products

I don’t think I have seen this level in detail in a product listing. I am not one to care that much about such things because Google. However A LOT of people get very upset when they are left in the dark about anything. If you are one of those people this box is for you because the level of info is the best I have seen to date.

That's It Bar
That’s It Bar

That’s It Bar: I received apple and banana. This made me break into that song for the whole day. I told myself to bring it with me tomorrow for a car snack (otherwise I’ll rummage around for whatever rejected food I have) but am now eating this as I write the review. It’s actually really tasty! I’m sort of surprised because when they say “That’s It” they mean it. It really is just fruit!

My Value: When people ask me what I’m eating I can say “That’s It” in different tones to frustrate them. “But WHAT is it?!?” they will wonder along with why I’m always such a jerk.

Love For Humanity Anti-Aging Eye Serum
Love For Humanity Anti-Aging Eye Serum

Love For Humanity Anti-Aging Eye Serum: Certified Organic this product promises results. I haven’t used it because it says it “immediately revives puffy skin.” I need my eyes looking tired and puffy so that everyone thinks I’m working really hard and not spending my time on MSA reading women go nuts on one another over parabens.

My Value: It taught me a new word “helichrysum.”

En Bloom by Fit Lush Body Scrub
En Bloom by Fit Lush Body Scrub

En Bloom by Fit Lush – Lemongrass and Lime Argan Oil Infused Body Scrub: The source of the good smell in my box. While it was sealed the oil somehow leaked out. Not a lot of it at least! The spoon is to mix the product up not for eating the scrub with. I learned the hard way.

My Value: I was able to exfoliate my teeth and body!

Renaissance Beauty - Orchard Rose Shampoo and Conditioner
Renaissance Beauty – Orchard Rose Shampoo and Conditioner

Renaissance Beauty – Orchard Rose Shampoo and Conditioner: I didn’t know what to think at first because I’m not huge on smelling like a rose. Rose scents usually bring to mind plastic covered couches and “good plates” that I’d most assuredly never get to eat off of. Not so here. The scent is a light fresh scent that says feminine clean not house dress with worn slippers.

My Value: Finally a product that will make me feel confident when I walk into a room and someone asks “what’s that smell?” Me. That good smell is me.

Little Barn Apothecary - The Simple Face Oil
Little Barn Apothecary – The Simple Face Oil

Little Barn Apothecary – The Simple Face Oil: Hand Blended face oil that is suitable for all skin types. Which is strange because I think oily skinned folks might be wary of putting more oil on their faces. I have dry skin so I was excited to get me some of that down home barn oil! The scent is actually a little sexy!

My Value: This gives me a good new reason to “press” oil into my “décolleté.” People are starting to question my old one.

Argan Lip Balm
Argan Lip Balm

Argan Lip Balm – Acai Rose: this product came with a wealth of info. A whopping two flyers and the info on the product list was educational if not totally opposite of the label that is super plain underscoring the simplicity of the ingredients. I would love to rewrite the flyer that tells the story of the company. It is missing a wisecracking camel. Trust me on this.

My Value: Whenever I break out this lip balm I can remind people that things are not always as simple as they seem.

Verdict: I really liked this box and am looking forward to seeing more! Usually I find that some natural type boxes take themselves too seriously but Kloverbox sent products that were useful and thoughtfully curated from sources you can’t throw in a basket with your box wine at the local Rite Aid.

I enjoy reading your review. I even chuckled about the reference to the paraben fight. I stay out of those fights because no one ever wins. I love this month’s box!

Thank you! Right?!? People were taking everything so personally. People get so fired up over Popsugar boxes it is unreal. If you say something negative people act like you called their kid pigeon toed or something, couple that with parabens and it’s an all out ruckus!

Also I love this box so far! It seems to be really thoughtful. I posted my review to their Facebook and they liked my review which felt nice. I’m glad I took the plunge and went for the 6 month sub!

That was a funny comment on the parabens. I guess I sort of started the fight by mentioning it had 5, but was trying to figure out why it needed so many preservatives and it all broke loose…

I love your sense of humor. I may just have to try this box out.

So you’re the one!!! It’s not really debating parabens that got everyone in a tizzy, I think it was when people started to directly question people opinions. It made for some amazing reading. Usually the sites comments are so… vanilla. The Great Paraben Fight of 2015 (as hence it shall be known) at least showed some passion from readers! For reals, it was some awesome reading.

Also thanks for reading. MSA and other bloggers will always have a corner on this area of blogging. My only hope is a few people find me funny and laugh with me!

🙂 you are on my reading list with MSA and I will continue to read you. Way to many people out there seem to have a mission of being happy about any and every box, even when they really don’t rate the positive reviews. The finger pointing sure got out of hand with the parabens, think it was partially the release of tension from the whole French box disaster too (thankfully that is not one I get).

Thanks! And yeah I think all of us who got screwed by French Box are going through “a rough patch.” I promise not to blindly like anything. I also will never value a scarf at $120 unless it is made out of Fur shed by Garfield.

LOL about Garfield. We have a cat named after Garfield. I think its been a rough month for sub boxes which contributes to the arguing. No reviews tonight! I was looking forward to reading one.
