Vegan Cuts Facial Box Review

Vegan Cuts had a summer beauty box sale a couple weeks ago. One of the boxes on sale was the Vegan Cuts Facial Care Box, which was showing be sold out the prior week when I posted about the Hylunia product being empty on the Empties Extravaganza. I purchased it again because the Hyluinia products retail at $35.90 makes everything else a bonus.

Subscription: Vegan Cuts Facial Care Box

Cost: $39.00 during the summer beauty box sale, now back to $45.00. Only a few left!  Sold out! I’ve been working slowly on the review. This is a one time box.

What to Expect: Vegan Cuts is amazing at listing out the products you will receive in their specialty boxes. Be sure to check out their website when ordering. Vegan Cuts will also list the prices of each item in the box. Purchase of one time boxes do not enroll you in a subscription.

It’s great problem to have when the problem is trying to figure out how to fit everything in the picture.

Behind the scenes.
Behind the scenes.

I wanted to take advantage of the natural light. Zelda had other plans. I had to wait for a different day.

My Konjac Sponge

My Konjac Sponge

My Konjac Sponge French Pink Clay:  The sponge is made from Konjac plant root and french pink clay.  It provides gentle exfoliation to  a sun-damaged and dried skin.  Check out the video on the My KonJac Sponge page to learn how to use it. I find that I put things aside if I am unsure what to do with it. Don’t! Watch the video! I have an accumulation of sponges that I am afraid to try. I have no idea why. The Konjac sponge is made in Korea.

I have my immature moments. All I can think about is Are you spongeworthy?

Lovinah Kale Spirulina Marine Detox Mask

Lovinah Kale Spirulina Marine Detox Mask: Lovinah calls it a mermaid mask that sounds much better than having kale in its name. It detoxifies and plumps up your skin letting you cancel all your future Botox appointments. It is a free product –  Paraben free, Gluten free, petrochemicals free, Synthetic fragrance-free, Silicone free, Phthalate free. It is also a Vegan product that makes sense because it is in the Vegan Cut box. The ingredients doing most of the work are Kale, Spirulina, and Matcha Green Tea. It also has aloe and witch hazel which gives me rosacea flareups. The Mermaid mask is made in the United States.

Do mermaids have more fun than blondes?

The Magic Pads
The Magic Pads

The Magic Pads: I think the creator and owner is using Hanz de Fuko products. Click on the links and tell me whether the hair is similar. The Magic Pads are designed to help with unnecessary aging, blemishes, and enlarged pores. It’s cruelty-free, vegan, and 99% organic. It has only 5 ingredients! Sadly the very first ingredient is aloe. I’m passing the pads on to someone who can use them.

Is there such a thing as necessary aging?

Blue Labelle Biologiqye Mornigue & Raspberry Seed Oil
Blue Labelle Biologique Morninga & Raspberry Seed Oil

Blue Labelle Moringa & Raspberry Seed Face Oil: This oil blend is best suited for oily/dry skin although all skin types can use it. The Made-In Isle of Wright oil contains raw organic oils. It’s vegan and can be kept for 5 years in a dry, cool place. The oil has a light flowery scent. I should be able to use the face oil although I am a little nervous. It has Primrose oil in it. My sister gave me Primrose once to help me sleep. I had vivid nightmares. Never again!

No, Subscriptionista. It’s not cooking oil!

Palmetto Derma Rose Refreshing Toner
Palmetto Derma Rose Refreshing Toner

Palmetto Derma Rose Refreshing Toner: I want to like the Palmetto Derma brand. I really do. It’s in many subscription boxes. The toner is paraben, sulfate, and alcohol-free. It is vegan. It calms the skin and gets great reviews. The first three ingredients are rose, aloe, and witch hazel that is a bad triple whammy for me.  I’m going to run out of people who want my Palmetto Derma products!

A triple hit is not a home run.

Alexandria Phenomen-all Skin Repair
Alexandria Phenomen-all Skin Repair

Alexandria Phenomen-all Skin Repair: The skin repair is made in the USA. It helps relieves ingrown hairs and is non-irritating. I think from reading the website it is a product that is used in conjunction with waxing. The bottle is strange. The tan band looks like a bandaid. The tube has seams on its side from the top to the tan band. You can also feel a seam going along the back of the tube along the top of the tan band. The front of the tube is smooth.

Another item for my supple needs.

Blissoma Fresh Mild Rice Cleanser
Blissoma Fresh Mild Rice Cleanser

Blissoma Mild Rice Cleanser: I love that chickweed is the second ingredient. I eat young chickweed out of the garden. It’s delicious. This vegan, cruelty-free, acidic balanced cleanser will not strip the oils from your face. This is my third sample of the product. It works well on my skin when I can get it out of the bottle. It has the most frustrating applicator I have ever seen. The cleanser is too thick for the eye dropper. It’s hard to scoop out the cleanser by other means because the bottle opening is narrow. I’ve tried shaking it out and end up with too much or too little.

Using the sample size cleanser is as frustrating as a Chinese finger trap.

Hylunia Products
Hylunia Products

Hylunia Products: This set is my third set of Hylunia Products. It was also in the Mother Day box. I purchased my second Facial Care box during the sale mainly for these products. It’s nice to use a set of products that doesn’t bother my face! I feel pampered. It’s also a company that understands that rosacea is not adult-onset acne. They offer a 3-step rosacea treatment that contains the Facial Cleansing Gel and Facial Day Lotion. The Healing and Restoring Cream is also recommended for rosacea.  These samples make the box worth it for me! I’m leaning towards buying the Healing and Restoring Cream once I finished with all the samples.

We need Subscriptionista to post beauty reviews once she completes her big project! Everyone is tired of the rosacea talk!

Vegan Cuts included a few fun bonus items.

How can I be subscribed to subscription boxes and be almost out of soap?

Verdict: I’m a huge fan of Vegan Cut’s one time purchase boxes. This box is a huge hit for me because of the Hylunia products.

One of these days I hope to get a Konjac sponge in a sub box.
    *Apparently not sponge worthy*

Wow, that box has a lot of items and seems like a great value for that price! If you need soap, Clean Bar seems to be sending free boxes to lots of bloggers… We need to figure how to get you on their radar.

I’ll be happy to try the Palmetto if you can’t find anyone else who wants it. 😉

Heat7918 – Send me your address at subbellaboxes at yahoo dot com. Let me know if you want to try the rice cleanser too. I noticed the same thing about Clean Bar. Subscriptionista is going to read your comment and text me to do my homework. She wants a funny “about me” paragraph. I’m stumped.

I think Subscriptionista should review Outlaw Soaps. It’s a perfect fit. Where else can you buy unicorn poop?

      • August 15, 2015 at 8:21 am

I know Subscriptionista is reading 🙂 I expect to see a unicorn poop comment soon. We miss your funny comments. Don’t let work get you down!

I need to herd up my boys and do mommy stuff for a few hours. They remind me of playful puppies this morning and have the attention span of them too. I hope to see funny Subscriptionista comments when I am back online 🙂

Hey Sub Bella thanks so much for including our Moringa face oil in your review, we hope you’re enjoying it!

I just wanted to clarify that the best before date of that batch of blends is October 2016, this is on the label. The “5yrs +” referenced is for age of persons suitable to use it! We may reword the label so it’s clearer ☺

Thanks again for your review and have a great day,
Pascale (founder of Blue Labelle Skincare ) xo
