You ask for it, we’ll do it!. There are too many wonderful products to include in one post. Let’s savor over our favorites category by category.

My favorite perfume is..

Vanille Extreme!
Vanille Extreme!

Thank you, Artemis, for suggesting perfume. I do not have a signature scent. I do like and wear most perfumes that I receive in my subscription boxes. It takes me awhile to go through my samples because I do not wear them all the time. I tend to wear them at home or use them as a room spray. This does not mean I want more perfumes in my Birchbox!!! I enjoy most scents except for the strong floral scents.

Great Bottle Design
Great Bottle Design

Scents can degrade when in a clear bottle exposed to light. I selected the Comptor Sud Pacifique Vanille Extreme because it is the first perfume that I purchased after sampling it in a Birchbox. Ssh – Don’t tell Birchbox.

Perfume vials
Perfume vials

I store my perfume vials in the vessel from the Birchbox LE Vanity Affair sold near the end of last year. I was one of the fortunate ones that received an intact vessel. How did that work out? Did everyone receive replacements? I remember reading people had to wait for replacements because it was backordered.

Bella and Bramble
Bella and Bramble

The real Bella came down from the farm for a few days for her vet appointment. Bella is a miniature Rat Terrier. She’s a little bigger than the cats. She needs to be on a lead at the main house in the summertime because she will tunnel out under the fence superfast. It is recommended that you sink your fences in at least 6 inches for a Rat Terrier. We had our fence before the doggy. They are hanging out by the rhubarb.

She’s a good girl in the yard except in the summertime. That’s why she stays with my sister at the farm. She runs all over the farmland and does all the things that a ratter enjoys. The rest of the time she is spoiled small dog that wears sweaters. Bramble is one of her favorite cats.

I have many HGs! D&G Light Blue is what I wore on my wedding day. Fragonard’s Belle Nuit I bought on my honeymoon and I have repurchased as well. For 2015 I needed to switch things up and bought a bottle of Issy Miyaki (yes it is dated but I always loved it and now that everyone is not wearing it I want to wear it).
My unicorn HG is discontinued DKNY which was renamed DKNY ACTIVE and then discontinued. I was so excited to find one lone bottle at the Estée Lauder’s cosmetic outlet. It smells of vodka and blood red oranges aka screwdriver 😉

Yay! I am always curious if women have a signature scent. I don’t, but my absolute favorite scent is Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. I ran out of it like 2 years ago, but I haven’t replaced it as I am trying to go through my stash of other scents (samples and full size). I also really liked Georgio Armani Si when I sampled it, so when I finish my stash, those two will be mine!

Pnut, D&G Light Blue is also one of my favorites!

I used to wear Estee Lauder White Linen in my early 20s. I wore Charlie a lot in high school back in the 80s.

In my perfume cubbie I should have an bottle of Exclamation and Debbie Gibson’s Electric Youth!
My scent chemistry does not mesh with White Linen but I love the scent on other peeps. Everyone got Charlie for Christmas in grade school.
Heh… Notice on how our signature scents can identify us by age for the most part!

Yes, I wore Charlie in High School too! In grade school / junior high it was Love’s Baby Soft. Pnut, I had exclamation and Electric Youth too!! I completely forgot until you mentioned them. I also wore “Beautiful” by Estee Lauder in H.S. and then I liked “Pure Poison” a little bit in college.

My husband bought me an Abercrombie perfume when we first married and I really liked it, but I gave up on perfume in late college / early 20’s and didn’t wear ANY for 10-15 years… I just have a really strong sense of smell and I always hate when I can smell it without trying. In other words, i don’t want it to waft up to me – I want to have to put my wrist almost to my nose. I also found that perfumes weren’t necessary b/c I already used shampoos, conditioners, body washes & lotions that all smelled good!

I’ve a tried a few BirchBox samples but still don’t like wearing perfume – no matter how light I think I put it on, it’s always way too strong at first and I have to wipe/wash it off and it still won’t go away. With sprays, I spray AWAY from me, wait a few seconds and then walk into it. That usually works well. But those stupid little samples… bleh.

They discontinued D&G Rose, the One?! Noooooo! I cannot commit to a signature scent, but if someone held a gun to my head and told me I had to, that would be the one I would pick. And my bottle is almost empty.

Is “Wine Sweats” a signature scent?

In high school it was all about CK for me! Now I hardly ever wear any scent.

I wish I could bottle my cats scent when I huff her. Her coat smells so sweet! Provided she didn’t just lick the spot cuz then it’s soooo icky!

Ahhhh the CK decade. CK, CK One, Obsession, Eternity, and Escape? Was it Escape? I think it was Escape that was my favorite you had to spray and walk into the spray that was a strong fragrance!

I just googled… Not sweats but Kelly & Jones will make you smell like wine in a nice way lol.
Clean kitty smell is a nice smell. I am without kitty though I grew up with one. He liked my brother better so he was his kitty then.
I am into newborn head smell right now. Was it Seinfeld or Everyone Loves Raymond with the baby smell dialogue?

Info I can use! I am looking into that!!! I think Everybody Loves Raymond. I think Seinfeld was all “You gotta come see the bayyyybeeeee” LOL I could huff a newborn, but I am more into how small their toes are. So small!!!!!!

My favorite baby body part that gets kissed way too much are baby cheeks. Then arm pudge. Then toeberries and foot pads. Then hands. Ummmm… The whole baby basically get kissed head to toe literally :p
I got into baby toes when a friend on FB referred them as “toeberries”

I love toe berries, this WILL be the new name! My neffs cheeks are so kissable. I try not to kiss them too much else my twin will think I am trying to eat him. I have been keeping a log of his footsies since birth. I am going to put together a little photo book with my comments in it that feature just his feet. I also want to document the moment boys feet become gross. Science.

I will never forget my twin taking me aside and handing me my neff to huff for the first time without prying eyes. I held him in my big gangling arms and just took a huge huff with her. While I have no children yet that moment with my twin was so special. Having a twin kinda sucks at times but other times its pretty darn cool lol

You are the best for teaching me toeberries

Anytime Subista!!! I would like to have twins they are so much work but it is so cute seeing twins interact when they are wee. That was a sweet memory to share, alas, I am still hormonal after giving birth I need to avoid those family orientated car insurance commercials they make me teary lol.
Babies are so nomable. Toeberries are pretty nomable until their paddles get really big around 3-4 years less nomable.

My ModCloth dress is here! I tried it on real quick to make sure it fits It’s perfect, I stressed over this dress because the person getting married is my husband’s junior co-worker. My husband is one of the senior guys so I needed to look great without looking slutty. October’s wedding is the same deal. He teased me that I could wear the same dress twice. No way! It’s this dress. http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/easygoing-ending-dress

I’ll do a post on it probably tomorrow and embarrass myself on the reasons why I selected the dress.

      • September 3, 2015 at 6:31 am

We do not acknowledge the bosom where I live. It’s all about the calves. I live in a strange area.

I have a problem with perfume. I love it, and I love matching it to how I want to feel that day/night, so I have about 15-20 of them in rotation, but I almost always forget to put them on. If I had a signature scent, I could just keep some in my makeup bag and spritz when I remember, but I’m too fickle.

I lean toward floral or herbal scents — still looking for that mythical perfume that will make me smell like a greenhouse/apothecary/Appalachian-glen-post-rainfall, but alas, it eludes me. I can’t do vanilla–makes me sick to my stomach, and my skin always turns anything “spicy” into full-on clove. Nothing but clove.

It’s fun reading the comments. Certain perfumes evoke different time periods. It was a trip down memory lane reading about the different perfumes.
