This is a weekly feature mainly because I do not want to keep empties in my house for a month! Email your empties pictures to me at subbellaboxes at yahoo dot com. Don’t be shy!
First up is Lisa!
Afford and Co Shave cream- I got in a Beauty Fix box and tried to give it to my husband to use since it was classified “men’s” after sitting full in the shower for months, I decided to give it a whirl, I used it all up, but has a manly scent so wouldn’t run out and buy it for myself.
Eslor– I believe I received this in my Goodebox, I loved it! I have so many face washes I don’t think I will actually need to purchase one for three years, but if I needed to this would definitely be a contender!
Paulas Choice 1% Retinol- I have just recently discovered Retinol and I’m in love!😍 it’s helping my fine lines and skin tone leaps and bounds! I am a huge PC fan and check beautypedia for almost every product I receive. I think PC is a top notch brand at a reasonable price! This is my new favorite product, it doesn’t over dry my face and after using it for a few weeks I can most definitely see a difference!
Dr Brandt Microdermabrasion– We all know the product, totally unimpressed. I don’t think I’m a Dr Brandt fan at all, especially for the price!
Benton Snail Bee Mask…..and other essence face mask I can’t read- The Benton one I received in Mishibox, the other I discovered on my own. You can definitely tell a quality difference between the two and even though my K-beauty phase fizzled when I found Retinol, I still use the Essence mask and it makes my face so soft!
PC AHA treatment– I use this twice a week, I have just been using the sample packs cause they are only a dollar, this stuff is strong! At first I was worried it was burning my face and it was going to look awful for weeks but I loaded up the moisturizer and all was good! I will definitely continue to use this product.
Philosophy sample– This sample was not even a full use, so I don’t know what to say about it…not enough to feel good or bad about it.
SubBella – I’m impressed! I admire a woman who isn’t afraid to use something labeled “snail bee”. I may try the Retinol. I will be approaching my 60s when my little guy graduates from high school. I need to keep looking young!

Next up is Artemis!
Mullein & Sparrow Himalayan Pink Bath Salts: I ordered a Mullein & Sparrow Set from Birchbox in June using my 13-month code and points. I’ve been holding onto the salts because they look beautiful in the glass jar. I love the scent and will reorder the set using points because of the cost.
Giovanni 2 Chic Blackberry & Coconut Milk Ultra-Repair Conditioner: The first bottle worked great. The second bottle did not. I am wondering if it is because of the change in the weather. I will keep it in mind for summertime use because it did give me great curls.
Simpatico Bubble Bath No 57: I received the bubble bath in the May Burke Decor Spa Box. It’s made in the USA which is the only thing it has going for it. It did not create a lot of bubbles or long-lasting bubbles. I want lots of bubbles that last in my bubble bath!
EVOLVh UltraRepair Deep Treatment Masque: I purchased this with a coupon code and points. I should not have tried to finish the bottle. My hair looks lifeless.
EVOLVh UtlraShine Moisture Shampoo: I received this in my Vegancuts Summer Beauty Essential Kit. I decided not to finish the bottle because my hair is looking lifeless. I am going back to try and true brands for now.
TATCHA Aburatorigami Papers: I love them. They are great for blotting excess sweat on your face or in the small of your back. The papers do not disturb your makeup. I bought the TATCHA papers in August.
Pelle Beauty Stellar Beauty Oil: I think someone sent me this oil. I love Pelle Beauty. It is one of my favorite subscription box discoveries. The Stellar Oil is great as a primer for clay masks.
Jillian Wright Skincare Gentle Peptide Cleanser: I received the cleanser as an extra sample when I placed an order with Jillian Wright Skincare using a discount code from the March Kloverbox. I was happy to see the cleanser because I received the same size cleanser before in an Eco Emi box and loved it. Eco Emi is a natural/eco box that was discontinued earlier this year. The cap
L’Occitane Amande Shower Oil: I never tried L’Occitane products until the second L’occi box. The shower oil makes great long lasting bubbles. I’m going to add that last little bit to the bath.
Naobay Cream: I received the Naobay Cream in a Birchbox sample pack. It is one of the better hand creams.
The Butter Bar Wata-Melon Body Scrub: I purchased The Butter Bar Wata-Melon Body Scrub during a sale last month. It had a great scent. The scrub melted into my skin. Perfect.
SW Basics Cream: I received the SW Basics Cream in the September Goodebox. I’ve been using it once a day because I discovered last year that products with shea butter do not work well in my house in the winter. Today was in the low 40s with a couple of short snow showers. I need to go through my stuff and see if there is any other product with shea butter in it.
Pure and Simple Charmed Beach Bum Salt Scrub (Whipped): The packaging looks horrible because I was trying to remove the remaining scrub from the jar. I never used a whipped scrub before and am not sold on it. The scrub has mango butter in it giving it a whipped consistency. I found it hard to remove the scrub from the jar. It has a playdough like consistency that I found hard to use as a scrub. I’m experiencing a learning curve with this scrub. I received the scrub in the August Out of the Box Sampler.

What do you think of the empties? What empties have you used up this past week or month? Share below and anything else is on your mind.
Awesome empties everyone!!
Lisa, I’ve really been wanting to try Paula’s Choice products but feel like I really need to use up some of what I have first. And I assume the Benton is the higher quality mask? Also, what is horror movie in the background next to Rain Man? 🙂
Artemis, funny review! Did you actually finish the old lady hand cream or just decide to pitch?
SB – wow! There are a few full size there… No wonder your feet are so succulent (and the rest of your skin must be too) with all those wonderful bath salts, bubbles, scrubs, oils and creams!
I’m trying hard not to look too old when my younger son graduates from highschool 🙂
Thanks! I did use every drop of that old lady cream. You might be able to tell that I cut the top off to get to the rest (which I do with all my tubes when I can’t squeeze out the product anymore – waste not, want not, right?). I used it on my legs where I could not smell the offense. It was a decent lotion, it just STUNK.
I’m totally going to start doing that with my lotions! I hate to waste… I mean cutting off the top. But I could maybe use the stinky ones on my legs too. Thx!
I should do that too.
I love to look at empties awesome job everyone!
Sub Bella, my jaw dropped when I saw your empties. That was awesome!
I’m totally trying retinol once I stop nursing.
Thank you. It’s 2 weeks worth of items. I doubt I will have much for this Saturday.
I am 37 and my daughter just graduated High School and some days feel 60, I think teenagers make us age at a rapid rate! No, the Benton mask is not near as good as the other one. I can tell a huge difference in the quality of the cotton and essence!
I also had a hard time justifying purchasing the PC with all the stuff I have, until I saw what Retinol does for my skin! It truly is the best ingredient I have discovered in any box!
Woah! I’m 37 and I have a two year old and a baby! I hope I can keep up when they are in high school!
Lisa – thank you for sharing all of this. There are days that my teenager drives me crazy and other days I’m a proud mommy. Now I am worried about him going to college and staying there! It’s going to be interesting looking at colleges next month.
My husband and I are one of those rarities that have been together since I was 16, we had our daughter when I was 19 and our son at 24. We are at the point where we can leave them home alone overnight and not have to worry about the house burning down, a milestone that is up there with when they became potty trained! I’m loving it!
That sounds nice too!
And the horror movie is Prom Nigh! I had to come home and check! Hubby and I had a weekend in Vegas with no kids!
Great empties everyone. I’m in major purge mode, cleaning out ineffective products or gifting stuff I will never use.
