The Box: What’s the occasion?
So glad you asked! Tonight’s occasion is learning-about-Internet-Protocols-with-my-cat-and-a-beer.

PARLOR® by Jeff Chastain Detangling Leave-In Conditioner: $24 for 4.9 fl oz bottle. “A fresh mix of ripe peach, cut grass, and white woods is reason enough to use it every day. All products from the line are safe for color-treated hair and are free of sulfates, parabens, and gluten.”
This smells amazing! I am just not sure if it’s for my curly curls.
I’ll pass it along to someone looking for a gluten free hair product…
(MALIN+GOETZ) clarifying clay mask: $48 for a 3.4 oz tube. “Made for acne-prone skin but safe for sensitive complexions.”
This sounds perfect for my acne + wrinkle problem! It’s a bit spendy though, so I’ll be using this tube sparingly. This sample alone at $7 covers the cost of what I paid for the box, so I’m happy!
Not Soap, Radio Body Wash: $16 for a 13.61oz bottle. “Liquid Freud is coconut milk- and mango-scented with calming St. Johns Wort.”
This came in Popsugar in January. I liked all the scents except this one! Vanilla gives me a headache and coconut stuff reminds me of the hair products my mom would buy me as a kid.
ARROW BOOST Color Enhancing Lip Balm: $14 for a 0.14oz tube [I think this is full size??]. “Formulated to adjust to your unique pH, it enhances each wearer’s natural lip color to create the perfect, just-for-you hue.”
Seemed a bit gimicky, though I have tried the pH perfume–weirdly my sister and I smelled exactly the same and the rest of our friends smelled very different.
I didn’t see much of a color difference from chapstick, but I do love the smooth oil feel. It also has a pleasant scent. I wish I had done a side-by-side comparison of chapstick vs this product.
The lip size is all butt fat injections… 😉
Dasein Winter: $90 for 50ml. “Notes of blue spruce, black cardamom, forest pine, and French lavender to remind you of brisk nights and cozy homes.”
YAY! Not one HP item in this box, and this perfume is awesome! I wish I’d gotten this before Christmas because I smell like a Christmas tree. Spring starts in Puget Sound in like January, so I’m not really feeling wintry.
Perhaps I’ll save this for summer and confuse drunks by wafting about bars. “Is it Christmas in July?!”

I tried out the Eyeko fat liquid liner from last month. I wasn’t wild about it because I had to go in with another liner to create the wing tip and line my lower lid.
I can’t figure out how to get rid of the “beauty face” filter on my phone! I have no green rooms in my house…
Verdict: I really liked this box! I got a nice perfume, fancy pH chapstick, and a mud mask I’m looking forward to using.

Thanks! Bahaha the amount of hair removal that would have to be done each day would be ridiculous. I get my eyebrows threaded weekly and most of the women have stopped asking if I want my lip done. Sigh. Thank goodness for spot correction in photo editing software

OMG BEST BIRCHBOX REVIEW EVER! I love the eyliner! SOOOOOO Jealous you can do that! Also I want full lips instead of my bird ones. Weirdly when I use Ph lip products it turns wayyyyyy to pink/red and looks awful.
Haha thanks. Seriously, I’m not awesome at getting eyeliner symmetrical, but watching tweens do youtube videos on it is SO helpful! Maybe some day I’ll figure out what people are doing with the spoon + eyeliner, but it seems a bit too advanced for me. I have enough things to hold while I’m trying to line my eyes!
I think we need to do a post where we all try cat eyes and smokey eyes. Basically, a post where we all end up looking like drunks who got punched haha. Oh and contouring as a finale!
