The first day of Spring is just one month away on March 20th. It is pretty much guaranteed that March, April and May boxes will reflect the coming of this much anticipated day!
So let’s get twitterpated and talk about what trends we are going to see in our subscription box world!
Color trends:
Here is Pantone color trends for Spring. According to them they are the world’s leading expert on color so I imagine this will affect all make-up boxes and any scarves sent out.
Thoughts:
1. Will all Lippies and Polishes be Rose Quartz or will the boxes branch out?
2. Will Popsugar abandon Cobalt blue items in favor of Serenity or Snorkel Blue (and on that theme will their LE Summer or Resort box have a blue snorkel in snorkel blue……)
Home items trend:
Pinterest released its predictions for home item trends and here are the top three I think could fit in a subscription box.
- Scandinavian Inspired items

These kind of items have been popular for a long time but wouldn’t it be cool to see some of the larger boxes send an item that benefitted 3rd world artisans?!
These are the items I received in the International Box of Blessings (read review here). It would be amazing to see Popsugar include something handmade in their boxes!
Fashion Trends:
Accessories: Watches! We have already seen this to be true in the March Luxor Box!
Scarves: Yes- Just because apparently one can never have to many according to the Goats……

Skincare Trends:
K-Beauty: Carbonated water and Seaweed!
Ingredient: Niacinamide (B Vitamins!)
Things that are not in boxes enough or that should be:

I’m hoping 2016 is the Year of the Bonsai Box. I put a potted wisteria in a terrarium but all of the leaves dropped within a week. Perhaps a little research is needed before my bonsai experiment 2.0.
The terrarium also got me excited! I did a gift swap and sent my partner a DIY faux airplant terrarium. Now I want another for me! I also was trying to plan where in our yard I should grow wisteria. Good luck! And make sure you trim your bonsai… my sister in law has a 30yro 6ft mostly dead “bonsai” that no one ever trimmed…
Your on to something Onderria. I need to buy fake airplants for my sad terraniums.
Target has them! And I think Michael’s has some, but their selection was sad. Target has ones already put together or just the ingredients to make your own. I suck at keeping plants alive, EVEN AIR PLANTS, so both of mine were replaced with fakes.
My basil from I think FFF never sprouted, and my Trader Joe’s basil died immediately, so now my pot is full of moss!! It’s actually really pretty and I keeping meaning to take a picture, because I also collect bits of beardy moss that I find on the ground and put it in for my mini gnome to tend.
I do my best to avoid the big mezmerizing red ball of happiness. If I get sucked in I would get their credit card for 5%, the cartwheel app, and subscribe to all up & up diaper products!
I do enough damage in the Amazon. This morning we spent $35 to get one day delivery for lightbulbs that look like our refrigerator because my husband failed to close the door again and the lightbulb must have been like “fudge this I am goin out!”
The Amazon delivered. Bday presents for Pipsqueak and 4 refrigerator lightbulbs that were bigger and opaque (not as pictured). Fortunatelt they fit so there is peace in this jungle…

We are on our second of three seed bombs from Rosario Dawson’s Randomly box. They only thing really growing is mold in the bag of soil :/

Also, I totally want one of the tiaras like the one on the far right. She looks like some freaking cool space queen! Has anyone seen the Big Bang Theory where Sheldon gives Amy a tiara? Omg I died laughing at that part and had to rewatch it multiple times! Ahhh I had to find it.
