Influenster Sprout VoxBox Review – May 2016

Influenster is a group online where you can check out people’s reviews of everything from water to mascara. I joined because I kept seeing how they had different products to review all sorts of interesting items. IT felt almost like a subscription box because boxes of products sent out for review are in something called a VoxBox.

I signed up and hooked up my social media to the system to see how much “Social Impact” I had. Turns out not that much, thought I finally (with the help of you all following my social media) made it a step higher lol Regardless of not being famous, I was still able to score my third VoxBox. All of the boxes are different depending on what group you are in. This time I was put in the Sprout Box crowd!

I honestly don’t know the magic to getting a box. I just answered some of the questions and lucked out. I almost made it into other campaigns but I am thinking either I turned out to be too old, or that they didn’t want my “sort” in them lol Totally kidding but I have been surprised how fun the program has been.

Orgain – Organic Protein Powder (Vanilla Bean): I am getting more into having a little shake each day to keep my energy up and give me a dose of all the stuff I wouldn’t normally be eating. This powder was gentle on my tummy which is a miracle. Usually I have to be wary of shakes because my tummy with turn very fast. Plus this flavor will allow me to mix things in to create different tastes!

Now who wants to see me do a push up?

Ecos – Laundry Detergent: I usually use pods because I am super lazy. I also let my laundry just pile up into a huge pile. It makes me feel like I am a king when I climb to the top… Anyway, I need to try to make my life a more healthy one. One without crazy chemicals in all the stuff I wear. Ecos worked well on my clothing. I didn’t put anything in there that was super delicate or had anything tough to get out. I bet it would still work fine. I just had a lucky batch to toss in!

If anyone compliments my outfit that was cleaned with his I will be sure to drop in how NATURAL the washing was of it…

Hair Food – Moisture Collection: I have tried this shampoo and conditioner before. I must have got the sample in a Target or Walmart box. I forget, but I have tried a few of the products from this line. They work well, but the smell has an undercurrent of the chemical smell. It isn’t so bad with the shampoo and conditioner but the deep conditioning treatment has it pretty strongly. It gets my hair clean and soft, but it isn’t my HG.

If my hair ate food it would probably like pizza!

Eatsmart – Three Bean Tortilla Chips: I was surprised they were able to get such a big bag of chips to me! Bean chips are surprisingly good. I did dip these into salsa because I like to eat salsa. It makes me feel like I am kinda eating salad with my chips. I just can’t believe someone thought up bean chips. I imagine those who have to eat gluten free probably have a tough time and this could be the product for them!

Great taste with the feeling of being more healthy? Pass the nacho dip!

Curate Bars (Dark and Tempting Flavor): This flavor has a name that reminds me of some sort of Vampire Romance novel. I dunno, it just seems serious for a snack bar. It is however a yummy little snack. I could eat like two in a sitting. I am surprised I like it so much because it has figs in it, which I usually don’t like so much. Also it has balsamic vinegar in it which I thought was strange. It adds a tang but not anything too crazy.

Balsamic vinegar is my vinegar of choice!

Vichy: Some select ladies where sent products from this brand but I was not one of them. I haven’t the juice I am afraid. Still, pretty cool they have little perks and what not!

Verdict: I can’t complain about a completely free box at all! The different tasks they are asking us to complete (like show off the box on Instagram and give our opinions) aren’t too bad or much work. I also like being able to use the app to do many of the tasks while bored and on the go. I am glad they haven’t asked me to send them my first born or anything taking too much out of my very very busy life of blogging/drinking wine/working/and all things cats. I enjoy being a part of the program and this box has turned me on to some new products that I hadn’t had a chance to try! So for me that is a win!

Mmmm I LOVE bean chips! I found Boulder Canyon rice and bean chips while pet sitting, and the woman had a half empty bag. After finishing off the other half I had to drive around Seattle to all the PCCs and Whole Foods looking for more! Then I bought some for me. Of course, later I found them at Grocery Outlet for waaay cheaper. Score! They have just a hint of spiciness, and they’re super thin and crisp. Mmm. Want.
