3b (Beauty Beyond Borders) Subscription Review – July 2016

3b stands for Beauty Beyond Borders and is a beauty subscription that seeks to bring you the best in Asian beauty and perhaps products in general.  I have heard a ton about these types of items and so decided why not give this box a whirl because it was $12 which isn’t too much of a monthly gamble for me. I mean, all I have to do is get a cheaper bottle of wine or two and the budget it all good!

There is a waitlist to sign up. If you decide you are interested I suggest you get on it and they will email you to tell you when a spot opens up. I think I waited over a month. It is not like the fake Ipsy waitlist!

Oddly, I noticed that they say the $12 subscription also includes “Unlimited access to our team to answer any questions you might have.” This to me feels like a challenge of sorts. Wouldn’t it be funny if I started writing this team all sorts of odd questions? I wonder what kind of relationship advice they give!

I have been making great use for the bags because they are so great for gifting!

Info card helps me figure it all out!

UNT – Aqua Nettoyan Cleanser: I never ever though about what Taiwan’s #1 online skincare brand would be and I don’t have to for awhile because UNT is it, or so they tell me! There is a high concentration of amino acids (23%) and I am a bit unsure of what that means for my skin but will try to get a report back.

They say this won’t make my skin feel taunt… so I won’t be using it on my thighs LOL

3W – Clinic Intensive UV Sunblock Cream: this is a 50/PA+++ sunscreen which gets me thinking why there are the plus signs? Like, is there a 50/PA+++++++++ cream? If there is, would it be REALLY better or just KINDA better than the +++ creams?

I’d look it up but I like to speculate for fun as to what it could all possibly mean!

Etude House – Pink Vital Water Facial Emulsion: A super light moisturizer that is supposed to sink right in and not leave your face all sticky. Imagine if you made a goofy face and it got stuck that way because you had sticky facial moisturizer on! The horror!

Afterward you would have to put up with your mom telling you that she was right!

ffc4c90d-335c-44e2-826b-20686e2946f2

Tony Moly – Kiss Kiss Lovely Lip Patch: This is a lip patch that you keep on for 15 -20 minutes. Perfect gift for a friend who talks too much because at least you can get them to be quiet for that long right? I went on a hike last weekend and I swear my lips are still dry from it. I feel like I have been lathering them with stuff every 15 mins. I will let you all know if it fixes it or not.

The patch will give me the blow up sex doll look I always never wanted!

Verdict: I am still getting a lot of fun and value out of 3B! I always enjoy the items and look forward to seeing what sort of oddity I will get to try. Also, I don’t have a ton of time to keep up on all the trends and this subscription makes it easy for me to at least learn a little each month about what is going on beauty wise in Asia. Plus, the lip patch is going to hilarious to try out I can’t wait!

That lip patch is hilarious! It should be moisturizing, smell and taste like real strawberries, and nommable. It should come in different colors/flavors as well! I think that would be more marketable! That and to keep a friend’s mouth shut whilst face masking on a home spa day 😉

My first thought was that it looks like a gummy candy that would be delicious! I’m not sure that I’d actually try to eat it, but it would be way more appealing if it was edible!

Yes you are right *currently eating gummy candies prior to reading your commentary*

Those lip patches look like some sort of torture device when they’re on. Muffle the screams!

I think Birchbox could take a lesson from this box too!

I agree! I just am a birchbox sympathizer and I am not sure why… Shell shocked

Hehe, I was really hoping for a glamour shot of you with blow-up doll lips! I must agree that they look like something to apply then slowly start sucking into your mouth and chewing… mmm… lychee strawberry lips.

I MAY just be able to provide that! I figure when I am gone next week (for about a week) I can do more reviews on products since I wont have boxes around… I TOTALLLLLLY want to eat it!
