Benevolent Beauty Box Review – August 2016

Benevolent Beauty Box is a subscription that sends out beauty products that don’t contain the tears of puppies or kittens. Basically, they are all about cruelty free cosmetics, because getting pretty doesn’t mean you have to get ugly! Yay!

There are two options you can choose from:

The VIP: 4-7 full sized items for $29.95 month to month and less with longer subscriptions

The Mini: 2-3 full sized items for $15.95 month to month and less with longer subscriptions

You fill in your skin tone, color preferences, eye color, and hair color which leads me to believe they do try to match products to your preferences! Yay for not getting a lipstick that you hate!

The products are all explained in detail!

Bellapierre – Vanilla Bean Lip Balm: A clear vanilla lip balm should please a lot of folks! I am addicted to a menthol feeling in my lip stuff so I will likely gift this. I bet that this with some coerce sugar would make a great lip scrub!

I would probably eat it though!

Cougar Products – Mineral Blush Powder (Punch): Man I realllly find the name of this company unfortunate. I know I have said that before, but I cannot help myself. It would be embarrassing to pull out any make up with “Cougar” on it. Anyway, this is a bit dark for me and so I will gift it.

Maybe they should change their branding to just have an actual cougar on it?

Manna Kadar Cosmetics – Lip Locked Stain: This is a cute color! The stain is more glossy than a regular lip stain. I actually prefer a bit more moisture so that is not a problem at all for me. The tube will last forever, so you know I will loose it before I even get half way through it…

Sunglasses, socks, and lippy are never safe with me!

Nvey Eco – Eye Shadow (Mystique): This eye shadow is in a nice little pot but I am unsure if this color will work for me. I will swatch it if I don’t gift it, but it looks different in different lighting. It is made in Australia which I don’t often see when I am getting cosmetics. No worries on koalas being put to work to make this because it is vegan and cruelty free!

I wonder if wearing this will help me with my Aussie accent?

yourMinerals – Setting Powder: I have this same product that I got from an Ipsy a few months back. I don’t often use setting powders because I don’t often wear much foundation or anything that needs to be set. However I have tried this for a nice out on the town and I felt like it kept my make up in place.

One container of this could set a thousand faces! Or, not. I guess it depends on the size of all the faces!

*Bonus* Manna Kadar Cosmetics – Fantasy 3-in1 Blush Highlighter Eyeshadow: Yay a bonus! I REALLY dig this color because it truly can be used in different ways. I was sent a sample in Birchbox and it sadly was so crushed that I could not even get it to open without risking a huge spill!

Something tells me that this would not highlight my couch as well as my face!

Verdict: Benevolent Beauty Box sent out a lot of products this month! I like that there were a span of different products and all of them were cruelty free. I did notice there are some brand repeats from past boxes but because we were sent so many products this month it makes up for it! I honestly think this subscription is getting better over time which is rare for subscriptions!

I thought the Manna Kadar lipgloss was the kind I adore, but I looked and it’s Hikari [salsa and merlot, if you must know the shades!]. Similar tubes.

I think either work! The cool thing here is typos are encouraged. I once had a typo that made it seem like I was talking about taking a dump on an airplane… worst typo ever
