Golden Tote is a women’s clothing service that is not actually a subscription. You choose an option to pick 1 or two items and then fill out your profile to let them know your preferences. They will try to match your likes with the surprise items that they include in the tote!
Every month the release their clothing items and women make a mad dash to buy either the:
–$49 Tote (you choose one item and there is 1 or 2 surprise items included)
or
–$149 Tote (you choose two items and you get a 3 or 4 surprise items included)
The $49 option does not include all of the clothing options that the $149 does. Golden Tote is shipping orders $149 or more for free. It does take a long time to get your tote. This tote took over two weeks to be shipped. I would not order this tote if you are in a huge hurry to get your items. I think it must take a great deal of time to go through each profile and match what is on hand with what will make a customer smile.
Pro Tip: Fill out your profile before you buy your tote. If you are waiting until the day new items are posted then make sure to have your profile filled out ahead of time so that it does not slow you down.
Super Pro Tip: They restock a lot of the styles later in the month usually during the middle of the week. If the style you REALLY want is sold out, just wait and see if they restock it before spending your money on something you aren’t in love with. Obviously this isn’t 100% assured but they have done it for months now.
The bag! Love!
A little look…
Ontwelth – Classic Coat (Grey): I wanted to get a jacket that I could easily wear with dresses at work. I always want a black coat but I wear a lot of black and we all know how annoying mismatching black looks. I mean, I assume we are the same and both find it annoying but it not, then that’s cool too. Anyway, grey is super easy to wear with a lot of colors and hides some of the cat hair I have. I also felt that it was a great price in the tote. I was right!
It feels soft, and has nice lining. The sleeves are a bit short on me. I even sized up in the vain hope that I could make my monkey arms fit into a regular jacket. I am just going to rock it anyway and own my longer than normal arms because, I have other things to worry about. Seriously, my wingspan is longer than my height, but that isn’t even the start of my fashion problems…
I literally spill something on myself daily!
Blush Noir – On The Sultry Side Dress: This dress does not strike me as “sultry.” It seems to me it is more girly and feminine. Sultry to me, is long silk with deep cuts or Old Hollywood style glamour. My personal take on sultry because if I don’t tell you, you will never know!
I went for this because it looked so cute and fun to wear for a date night. Why, I could look date night ready in this and wear full coverage undies if I wanted! Fun! I am happy with it but the Medium was a little big. The lace is very well made and much thicker than I thought. it is pretty short, so no sitting like a dude unless I want to flash people…
No Free Shows!
Collective Concepts – V-Neck Blouse: This is a nice basic I can wear for work really easily. The sleeves button up so the fact that my arms are again a bit long for this won’t be an issue. I love the color and will be able to put this in the work rotation without problems.
Might go with my grey coat!
Le Lis – Elephant Shift Dress: Yay for elephant prints!!! I specifically asked for animal prints because I am all about letting my quirky show loud an proud. When I get a tote and I don’t get an animal thing in it I kinda get a bit sulky. So I am VERY happy to see this. It is really cute on and I can add a belt but it fits slim enough where I can go without one.
If I run really fast by your window you may think it is a stampede!
Gilli – Sriped A-Line Dress: I was a bit worried because I have a dress like this I got from Target. However this one fits better, and is so soft! The top is flattering and comfortable. I think this will be a ton of fun to wear in the spring and summer here. I will donate my other dress that is similar and keep this one because this is longer and won’t show my kibbles when I don’t want to…
Plus points for matching my tuxedo cat Sophia!
Verdict: This is one of my favorite totes from Golden Tote. I feel like they really listened to my profile and picked out items that fit my style and body type. I think my choosen items made it worth the cost of the whole tote alone. The extra items made is a great deal for me!

Disclosure: Should you click on my referral link it will give me $10 in my GT account to spend on more things to review! I paid for this tote.
That is really a good bag. The dress with the stripes LOOKS incredibly comfortable! The dress with the elephants I think reminds me of the free Baggu Birchbox was giving away with a recent Add-To-Box purchase. I almost bit. I am not really impressed with Birchbox add ons . . . maybe sometimes with the candles but I do not think they offered candles at that promotion. I think if they toss in another freebie I might take a gander. Sorry for digression great tote and tote items!
I swapped for the elephant baggu, I like elephants and owl stuff on my schizz.
LOL this made me giggle so bad!!! I love owls as well! I wanted the kitty baggu but I guess I am going to just have to man up and actually BUY it…..sigh
LOL it is my wearable baggu!!! yeah the stripes is sooooo comfy!!!
I am pretty much in love with this tote. What does your style profile say??
Crap I did not get this info to you and I will. But you can link my review in your comments and say this is what you want…
This makes me wish I wore dresses. It makes sense that you like animal prints with Sophie cat and monkey arms.
I’m wearing a tuxedo to black tie event cause why not?
Thanks so much for delightful review.
Thank you for being a part of the blog Kelly!!! Your comments are my little treats that keep me going! I wore a tuxedo and took a picture with my tuxedo cat but it wasn’t as good as I wanted. I am going to try again for holiday photos LOL
