Look What I Bought: Amazon Luxury Beauty Sale $50 for $25 – March 2016

In the Look What I Bought Series (the same goes for the reader submitted sister series “Show Us Your Hauls”) we get to take a look at stuff everyone buys!

Oddly, I personally love to see both what people buy and their empties. I never knew this about myself until writing on this blog. It is almost as if I get the a little of the shopping thrill that the person actually buying the stuff gets! It is also pretty cool to look at what things are like when not all dolled up for photos on some site trying to sell them!

Last week Amazon had a sale in the Luxury Beauty section of the site where if you spend $50 you get back $25 in credits. I am a Prime addict, so to me this deal was too good to pass up! I decided to try to get things that I wanted that I also felt would be a good value. A good value to me is something I actually will use and need.

Pureté Thermale 3-in-1 One Step Cleansing Micellar Solution for Sensitive Skin, Paraben-Free ($17): If you read this blog a fair amount you will know that I personally hate using soap on my face because obviously I am related to Pigpen. However, I do love using Micellar water! It helps clean my skin without drying and removes make up pretty well. This is a type of product I wish we got more of in boxes.

I picked this one because I am hoping it is gentle. I like that it is paraben free, mostly because all of you ladies have been making me super afraid of parabens!

My cat Sophia says to just let her clean my face but… I am not so sure…

Pureté Thermale Beautifying Cleansing Micellar Oil Cleanser, Paraben-Free, Alcohol-Free ($18): Obviously Micellar solutions don’t always get all the deep down grime or harder to remove eye make up. This is where my dry skin cries out for help… “Help! Help! I want to be clean but not dry and no suds pleaseeeeee!” It yells!

This of course disturbs a lot of people when they hear it, often making them want to get away from me and my loud face. So, like all things that are not wanted the problem must be dealt with… I have a cleaning oil that I use from a Beauty Fix box, however it is getting low. While I am excited to have it as an “Empty” to show off, I was turned off by that brands price. This was just the ticket!

My cat said that she produces a “natural lanolin” and that ultimately she feels she would rather not share with me…

Yu-Be Moisturizing Skin Cream for Dry Skin-1 fl. oz. ($16): I once was sent a little sample of this from I think Birchbox. It took me forever to get around to using it but now that I have… it is love! It isn’t the most “sexy” product but then, neither are pickled green beans and I love those. It doesn’t have a strong smell and really helps my rough spots. I have dry skin and even though the sample I was sent was REALLY small, it lasted a long time. I was excited to finally get some more!

Atari now owns this product!

Yu-Be Lip Balm, 0.15 oz ($5): I could not resist getting this! I know a bear who has dry lips this time of year and he may want to try it out. You see my lippy of choice is not everyone’s cup of tea…

I guess to be fair Chapstick is never anyone’s actual cup of tea…

Verdict: I can tell you it is getting tougher and tougher to blow my money on such things given the sheer mind boggling amount of beauty that I get send through all the boxes each month. I think for a total of $31  ($56 – $25 credit = $31) I did really well! I got the useful needed face cleaners, and the dry skin cream I have always wanted to buy but always felt was a little bit too spendy.

    Great haul!

I am sure your prego twin knows your quirks and I got a great baby gift addition that is a game changer. Buy one and add an empty spray because the product is more efficient in spray form (its better than California BAby!/ spray). I call it (Mustela) baby windex! http://www.mustelausa.com/shop/our-products/physiobebe-bonus-size.html

I had the same reaction to Yu Be (delayed using because it wasn’t sexy) but yes it is the boy next door. Get to know it then you can’t live without it

I love the way you explained this! Yu Be is the boy next store! Date around, but marry him!

I bought the Juice Beauty BB Cream in Natural Glow. I had received a sample sometime last year and loved it. I also bought the Mario B(something)(it’s 1:00 in the morning,so I can’t turn on light to see the name) pink drying lotion. I heard it was great for the occasional hormonal breakout, so I’m going to give it a try. I took advantage of this deal, one because I can’t say no and two, because I have been wanting a Z Palette. I used my 25$ credit and got the large one for free! I’m going to depot all of my favorite shadows and make one big palette.

I ordered two massive containers of (alcohol-based) toner because I never receive that in boxes. (Well, I get toner but it is always alcohol free. I have such oily skin I need that alcohol in summer.) Not very exciting but should last all season long. Sadly I didn’t get to splurge on something fun with the $25 back because I ran out of one kind of cat food so I bowed to necessity and ordered a case.

Hey girl! LOL yeah cat food is a very good way to spend it. I spent some of mine bonus for legos. My neff I guess wanted them and my twin wanted to have the Easter bunny bring them so that it is not all candy. I don’t all together get it but I don’t argue

Your cat is hilarious. I’ve never heard of Yu-Be but will definitely have to look this up since I have terrible “winter skin”… do you remember that dry skin commercial of an alligator walking across a desert? I have no idea what product it was for, but yeah, anyway, that’s my skin. This all looks good to me! I’m bummed I missed the Amazon sale! (but my hubby is probably really, really, absurdly happy…)

I think that was a lubriderm commercial right? I feel the same way about my stupid skin! I always miss out on sales so I was glad to try this one since I am an Amazon addict. However it wasn’t so mind blowing that I would have been sad. Yu be really works for my skin but it honestly is not the sexiest product out there
